We entered through a speakeasy type door to the rear and were met with prohibition era style decorations. We were seated by one of the staff members in a comfortable couch and chair room with a television that was playing film noir classics. There is a bar room that has chair and tables, and a huge selection of bourbons and whiskies. When I say huge, I mean huge! Check the QR code on the menu photo that I posted. I had the traditional Sazerac, followed by the bacon old fashioned. Absolutely amazing taste. Well balanced and easy to drink. My friends went wild with other drinks and bourbon pours. All of the drinks were memorable.. The drinks here are affordable, however, if you have a thick wallet, you can spend it on some rare bourbons or whiskies, and there are a lot of them. Definitely a place to try out when you are in Bardstown. If you are a whiskey lover, this is one place to check out.

I did the tasting flight and their whiskey was so smooth I knew I had to take home a bottle and I did, along with a tshirt. Their establishment is quant and timely as there is the tasting room and gift shop on site, along with an extremely small distillery which is now rarely used. They distill offsite nearby. I highly recommend coming in for the tasting and history. Their products are well worth it. They are famous for being distilled in Canada during Prohibition and smuggled into NYC to the Cotton Club in tin cans.

We tasted 14 different types of bourbon and 1 Tennessee whiskey. The Colonel told us about bourbon history, the difference of wheated bourbon, what makes bourbon sweet or spicy and the different types of bourbons. We were served a charcuterie board about half way through the class. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and learned a lot about bourbon at the Bourbon House with the Colonel and Margaret Sue.

Now I get the pretzel often depending on the location and I was so impressed with how tasty it was and how great the mustard was.
