Let's answer some questions…read more... DO I NEED A RESERVATION? I highly recommend it. Especially if you want to enjoy some of the more unique seating in the bar. WHERE IS IT???? Well, that's half the fun, isn't it? I will tell you, facing Louie the Troll, go east and keep your eyes open. My friends and I booked the fumoir which was a WONDERFUL surprise. Possibly the only spot in the bar that has proper doors. We each had a cocktail and got plenty of small bites. I got the Faraway Towns cocktail which was really yummy. They serve some pies, which we got the cheesecake and pecan, and those were crazy delicious. The lighting is quite dim, as expected, so please keep that in mind especially if your vision doesn't do well in such lighting. The whole experience was a lovely treat, HIGHLY recommend.

We were basically the only person on the list and we never got a call all night after waiting around and willing to go back immediately once he called us. I'm not really sure why he could not just offer to put us down in an open reservation time slot that was later. They definitely had some open, I was just hoping he'd be able to get us in earlier. We went back on Thursday because I really wanted to go. We made a reservation this time to be safe. When we got in, I saw how small it was so I understood us not being able to walk in the previous night. The ambiance was very cozy with dim lighting and I loved the couch seating. They had a call button to call over a waitress, and I have never seen that at any bar before. I thought it was a nice touch. Service was kind of slow but the drinks were really good.

The last time we went they had a special menu with some high end options and it was delicious!!!! We had no idea and did not have a reservation and it filled up fast so we had to sit at the bar but the service and food was still great. Definitely look i to their special events and get reservations!

I've never written a one star review, so it really saddens me that my experience here was so. It…read morewas my partners birthday 3/14, this place was recommended to us for offering excellent cocktails. The 1920s speakeasy ambiance was well done, we were excited to enjoy drinks here. We sat at the bar next to a few other folks, the bartender asked us if we knew what we would like. I asked for a menu, she said she didn't have them out right now and would come back to take our order. The bartender returned and my partner explained that we weren't sure what we wanted to order, that it was our first time in and asked if there was a menu we could view. The bartender responded with, ''no menus, it's easier that way''. I was taken back by not only the comment, but the tone of her voice (clearly not happy with our request). I turned to my boyfriend and said, let's go somewhere else! The speakeasy wasn't crowded, but, was part of the Elizabethtown St. Patrick's Day bar crawl. I don't believe that should have any effect on the regular menu or quality of service. We were disappointed with our experience (lack of) especially on such a special day. We skipped down the road to Bourbon Barrel Tavern and received excellent service and tasty cocktails.

The atmosphere…read moreperfectly captures the local charm of Bardstown while offering a unique culinary experience you won't find elsewhere in the area. The food was nothing short of delicious. We started with the **Bosnian Salad**, which was incredibly fresh--I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting for the first time. For the main course, the **Wiener Schnitzel** was cooked to perfection, and the **Goulash soup** was rich, hearty, and full of flavor. The setting is very nicely decorated, creating a warm and inviting vibe that makes you want to linger. Beyond the food, the staff was exceptionally friendly and made us feel right at home. It is definitely a **must-visit** whenever you are in the area. I will certainly be back!

It looked very elegant inside. We were curious and decided to stop in for lunch. A lovely lady greeted us. I believe she was the owner. She was We asked for a recommendation and she highly recommended the goulash. She said that everyone loves it. So settled! We ordered it! She brought out some butter and bread, which was simple enough. Our goulash and noodles came out quickly. By the looks alone--the disappointment washed over our faces immediately. We hoped that it tasted better than it looked. I wished I could say I was a very committed diner--that whatever I order I would eat regardless, but I couldn't. Two bites--I was done. One bite courtesy taste, the second bite solidified my decision not to indulge further. Husband did the same. It was bland and had absolutely no flavor. Not willing to take a chance for a second go around at this place. Oh, but their bar looked extensive--might give that a shot.
