I recently attended a Plant Based cooking class at A Cut Above and it was SO MUCH FUN. Chef Amy is…read morefabulous and her class is the perfect mix of education and fun. I feel like I learned tips and techniques that I could take home and use day to day but also ended up making a very unique and impresssive meal. This class was Thai inspired so we made a salad, coconut curry soup, and moo shu wrapped in a pancake of sorts. Their cooking classes offer a cash bar and walk in appetizer. Then we get to the cooking, all of the ingredients were portioned and passed out. We had the opportunity to taste along the way. After cooking everything, we got to sit down and enjoy our meal. This was such a fun experience. Highly recommend as a date night activity!

It's an out of the box idea that will give you major cool points. We did a Chopped Themed event. If you have ever watched Chopped, the TV show, you know that they provide you with a basket of items and you and your team is to figure out what to make with those items. You have to make sure that you include every item that's in the basket. It was so much fun to see what the various groups came up with. There were four groups and three judges. Once their meal was prepared, they brought the dishes to the judges so that we were able to rate them. I was one of the judges which was very fun! We had an appetizer and then a main dish. At the end the REAL chefs prepare a meal using the same ingredients! The staff was extremely nice and entertaining too. Made us feel comfortable and welcome. There was an open bar of wine and beer (and soda) so add that with some music I tell you it was just a blast. Thank you team for hosting! It was amazing!

Awesome elevated comfort food menu…read more I was scrolling through my pictures from my trip to Indy and I saw a photo of a menu. Upon closer inspection, it hit me that I took the pic because I wanted to explicitly call out its awesomeness in this review. It is chalk full of dishes that sound like they came out of my dreams. Here are a couple noteworthy examples: 5280 PB & J - ok, this one didn't come out of my dreams, because I don't eat pork, but literally, if I discovered this two years ago before I went semi-kosher, I would be all over it. Roast pork loin, pepper bacon, fig & plum jam on a pretzel bun?! Yes, I did just rewrite the menu for you, but it should be shared with the world. Mr. Potato Head and Cheese - I once wrote has there ever been a match made in heaven that beats truffle and French fries? The answer is now yes, truffles and tater tots. This dish also includes grated parmesan and chopped garlic. Every other dish sounds as good as these, but I'm going to have to let you read the menu yourself. We ended up getting 4 Real Kettle Chips. I was not hungry. I had a ginormous omelet for lunch and I was still having problems buttoning my pants. Yet, once I saw these gorgeous kettle chips, I had to try some. And by some I mean I ate way more than my fair share (I wasn't even the person who bought them). They are generously topped with parmesan and at $4 its an absolute steal. Everything else on the menu is between $7 and $10, which is such a great deal for the quality of this food. We ran into the food truck outside Bier Brewery. Since this was the first brewery we stopped at during our Indy Brew Bus tour, I'm confident in saying I was still sober enough to truly appreciate the food. The owner of the bus is super friendly. I could tell he cared about providing great dishes. This continues my theme of reviews where I'm basically commanding everyone to support local! If you run into this food truck, you won't regret ordering a meal.

The braised meat was better than I expected because I am not a big fan of the braised flavor. The chips were crispy.
