It started with me asking for quotes on Yelp from every pool servicing folks around for a pool…read morefilter cleaning. Ernesto replied first, gave me the price, and was prompt. I just rolled with him as I loved his quote. What I love about Ernesto and Sparkly Pools is that he is very flexible with his work schedule, yes, Saturdays and Sundays...the two days that most working-class people are off that we can get help with. What even impressed me most is his punctuality; other pool guys I've connected with either don't answer me, promised me one day but never showed up the next day, or is always late, or never show up at all or even do a make-up. Ernesto is punctual in the sense that when you book him for 9:00A, he will literally show up by like 8:50A; there was one time that he showed up before I even got home (that was a my bad part on my end that he made an estimated arrangement time prior)-- all is well since my parents gave him access to the pool side and let him do his thing. So we did a filter clean per my request and chatted about my green pool. I told him how we had this same pool water for 10+ years and that I had very high CYA levels (around 226). I did every research and everybody says it has to be drained to lower it. He offers draining services and also acid wash. I've never had an acid wash done on this pool and not even before when we bought this house. He gave me the price of an acid wash and it was a pretty solid price overall, so we did that two weekends later. He came on a Friday evening and dumped the sump pump into my pool and ran a hose out to drain. Let it drain overnight and then the next morning (Saturday) he came and helped me perform an acid wash. The whole ordeal took about 3-4 hours. After the wash was done, he had me add water back into the pool and that took about 20ish hours to fill up. The third day (Sunday), he came back and helped me do a filter clean (part of that package) to reset. He brought his younger cousin over as well to educate and help as well, pretty amazing guys. We noticed during the acid wash, there were pretty stubborn black algae etched into my plaster. We tried scrubbing it off but it was tough. He went out his way to get two gallons of 12% liquid chlorine and poured it directly onto it and it came right off. Wow. Now I'm just balancing my chemistry but most definitely happy my conditioners are down (and my CH). His area code appears to be in Vegas, but he recently moved down to LA. Do welcome him around! A very professional, polite, and punctual gentleman...offered him a lot of water bottles to help stay hydrated. Please give him your support for your pool needs if you need help.

After I hung up the phone, his son Daniel was already knocking on my door. Although he eventually canceled his service bill, I was still left with an additional balance on my water bill, and he never reimbursed me for it. No one was sent to inspect my home for moisture or possible water damage. I expected him to take full responsibility, reimburse the additional water costs, and arrange a proper moisture inspection. Unfortunately, that never happened. Based on how this situation was handled, I cannot recommend this company. Did I mention the water was left on more than 48 hrs!!!
