I sent pictures of where the setup would be, discussed the weather multiple times, and spoke with them the day before the event. They even confirmed the morning of the party at 9:26 that there would be no issues. The party was scheduled to start at 3:00 PM. At 11:20 AM that same day, I received a call from the owner's husband saying there was too much rain and they could not come out because it would compromise their equipment. This was extremely upsetting, especially since the rain forecast had been known all week and they continued to reassure and confirm up until that morning. When I expressed how upset I was and explained that this ruined my daughter's birthday plans, his response was, "Well actually, we didn't ruin it," which I found very unprofessional given the circumstances. I was so upset that I ended the call. I understand weather-related policies, but the lack of consistency, last-minute cancellation, and dismissive response made this a very disappointing experience, especially for a milestone event like a Sweet 16.

It is big but unfortunately it was definitely not vintage days. We went on the day that they was designated for vintage days specifically because we weren't really looking for just junk or stuff . We won't be back anytime soon . We got an ice cream cone and one scoop was like eight dollars. They do have some fruit and vegetables, but they were pretty ripe and some of the items canned goods look like things they got left over from maybe a food bank or items they took from a food bank that they didn't use just a lot of stuff that seemed like it had been collected from free stuff left over from a yard sale or I don't even know it was not what I expected. It was my first time I've been wanting to go for years. My sister-in-law hadn't been since she was younger, and my husband hadn't been since he was younger. Parking is available across the street in a private, fenced but unsupervised parking lot. Lighting is great, and there are numerous very bright lights throughout the lot. The venue where the movie was shown is on the fourth floor of the Level Hotel located on 9th Street and Olive Street in downtown Los Angeles. Guests are not allowed in the outdoor seating area until sixty minutes before showtime. Once upstairs, you are free to sit anywhere, as seating is first come, first served. Guests sit on very comfortable, padded Adirondack chairs that event organizers provide. The view of the screen, the sound, and the overall atmosphere are fun, relaxed, and positive. Guests are handed a headset to listen to the movie, and/or the surround sound speakers are on for those choosing not to use the headset. There is a snack bar offering hot dogs, nachos, pretzels, popcorn, ice cream, and several other snacks on one side and alcoholic beverages on the opposite side. Clean and convenient restrooms are within walking distance from the outdoor seating area. Guests as young as 16 are allowed in, and 21 and over if you plan to have an alcoholic beverage (or two). Different movies, both current and older, are shown nightly. Check their website for the exact movies shown on any given night. Several nights per week, two buffet movies are shown back-to-back. Getting to the theater can be a little confusing, but they do send you instructions before your visit. BE AWARE their email says parking is right across the valet for about $10-$12. Since it was dark, I mistakenly parked at the lot next to the $10 one, and that one was $20 (ouch). Don't make that mistake. When you walk through the valet, there is someone there to tell you where to wait. The doors open about a half hour before your showing. We were a little confused because we weren't sure if someone was going to come down and get us. There was a resident that scanned us up the elevator, and there were plenty of spots to lounge outside of the cinema area. We sat in front of the concession stands, and the valet from downstairs had come up and ask us and the other two couples waiting to move to the seating area closest to the elevators. It wasn't a big deal but I thought it was weird that we had to do that. Our tickets were for the loveseat, which comes with one popcorn per person. We watched LaLa Land (in LaLa Land), which was nice because there's also a view of the buildings in downtown. Seat was comfy, but I wish there were either cup holders on the chairs or perhaps a small table in between seats for your food & drinks. I HIGHLY recommend bringing a blanket. There are other reviews that mention they have heaters, however, this was not the case during our visit. I'm thinking they probably have them for the winter, but there were no heaters present during our visit. It gets rather cold, but it feels okay if you bring a sweater and a small blanket. I loved the concept of the headphones for the movie. They were excellent quality and had great sound. You can adjust it based on your liking. Also, all the seats have a great view of the screen. It's a pricey date, but it's worth it if you're looking for something different.

All in person with proper social distance protocols, yet still very fun! The entire staff was engaging and kind. Alex in particular had us in tears just checking us in! Your ticket includes skate rental and one drink, so we grabbed a Paloma (the other option was not available) which hit the spot. Unfortunately, the skating surface was a bit of a letdown--treaded hard plastic mats that didn't offer a smooth ride. It took a lot of effort to move and wasn't beginner-friendly. Plus there was a tricky spot that tripped up more than a few skaters. The biggest surprise was the low energy overall--music was pretty quiet, and the vibe felt more relaxed than festive. We expected more of a party atmosphere for a Friday night rooftop in the heart of LA. It was still fun to do something different and hang out with our group, but unless they upgrade the floor or amp up the energy, it's probably a one-and-done for us. Dubbed "LA's premier outdoor movie, food truck, and live music event series", this summer-long traveling entertainment circus (since 2012) made its way across various iconic venues throughout Los Angeles with its unmistakeable 3 1/2-story tall inflatable high-definition screen deemed the "biggest of its kind on the West Coast". A self-contained event, you were allowed to bring your own chairs, food, etc.. Extremely pet-friendly with water bowls and treats placed throughout the venue, they tied themselves to the non-profit organization Best Friends Animal Society Los Angeles and No Kill Los Angeles (NKLA) to help with pet adoption. Would this nostalgic return and revamped idea of the drive-in movie pull at my sentimental strings to return for more!?: General Admission Ticket/Seat ($14.00 + fees) - Purchased online (priced higher at the door the day of the event), this was open seating, so first come-first served. Armed with a low chair (ABSOLUTELY NO TALL CHAIRS), blanket, cushion, and pillow to sit on just in case, I happily claimed a spot center screen slightly away from the crowd on the concrete road https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=Lxb9OOL4HaDWK3rIBs1Uaw&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw. Tickets also gained access to food trucks and live pre-movie music performance. Below were other ticketing options (things brought were the same): 1. Kids 6-12 Tickets (approx. $8.00 + fees) offered the same as "General Admission" 3. Kids 5 & Under Tickets (FREE + fees) offered the same as "Kids 6-12 Tickets". 4. Groups of 10 or more had group rates available. Live Music - Lone Kodiak with its "campfire rock" offered an intimate hush to their music that initially reminded me Of Monsters And Men with occasional hints of aggressive jabs. I wasn't a fan of the pre-recorded and sampled parts which seemed to be the norm these days for many live performances, but I always appreciated live music regardless. Food Trucks - Listed were the assortment of food trucks present: Belly Bombz, Jogasaki Burrito, Postcards CAS (see separate review of my purchase), Pudding Truck, and Vchos Truck/Pupusas. All accepted credit cards. Vendors - From Air New Zealand, JackFM, Subaru, to Showtime (who gave away chairs!) were among some who supported and had giveaways. Service - The online purchase was a breeze. There could've been more pedestrian and street directional signage to the main entrance on Marengo Ave.. Marked signs once inside led you where to set up camp. Both audio and visual systems were surprisingly clean and clear. There were the customary long food truck lines akin to L.A. traffic without the bad drivers. I didn't happen to notice any ATM machines for those who needed cash. Generally-speaking, everything was fine and ran smoothly enough once. Parking (Varied - FREE this instance) - With the venue's proximity to the Memorial Park Gold Line Station, I went Metro from my hipsterhood ($3.50 roundtrip). Otherwise, there were plenty of metered and timed street parking around the area (valid until 6pm), and numerous parking structures. Another option would be to hire a driving service like a taxi, Lyft, or Uber. Atmosphere, décor, ambience - A large mostly concrete venue (closed sidewalks and streets) with small sections of grassy areas (a few trees shielded you from the sun) towards the outskirts, it was everyone for themselves as the gates opened and throngs of guests flooded in! Overall, Eat See Hear at Centennial Square in front of Pasadena City Hall was one of my favorite locations of theirs because of the easy access and beautiful backdrop. This concept was popular enough for others to imitate. The onsite staff were also very charming and helpful. We had been to a couple of silent discos in the past and I thought it would be fun for our friends. Marty was great in the planning stages, offering some fun ideas and both Scott and Marty showed up early and had the music going when guests arrived. When the dancing started, it didn't stop for 2+ hours. DJs are everything for a party...and the music was PERFECT with a mix of everything. Our friends said it was one of the best parties ever. Can't recommend the these guys enough!
