Wow just wow. What a great dining experience. So this place has been on my list for a while. We ended up there because I got a flat tire on the way home from Strawberry picking. We walked in and the place was intimate and elegant and upscale, and we were definitely underdressed and I underestimated how nice it would be based on its location. Luckily I always keep a spare dress in the trunk a quick change in the bathroom. We walked in without reservations and by the foodie gods were blessed with an opportunity to dine in there that night. There is a sushi bar. There are tables up against the wall and there are some small tables for two. They also have one really large table for eight with a giant Lazy Susan for family style dining. They sat us at the giant table and did not even roll their eyes that we were with two little kids ages five and eight. I ordered enough food to feed an army and everything was delicious. The tuna pizza the ceviche roll the presentation as well as the food were of the highest standards. Even a basic role was executed perfectly no skimping on ingredients. If I had to find one thing that was on the downside was the lychee drink I ordered was a bright red and tasted like a jolly rancher, not lychee, but it was delicious, although probably more sugar than I should have. If you're ever in the area, go try it, but don't be like me and make a reservation

Beautiful restaurant! Make reservations!! Perfect for a party of 2. The service was lovely, they got busy very fast. The food was to die for, the filet mignon bao bun was insane. The matcha tres leches is fantastic!

Absolutely delicious sushi and experience! Staff were extremely knowledgeable of all the menu items and helped us pick the most delicious Salmon Crudo! Thick pieces of New Zealand salmon that were cooked to perfection! We also ordered two sushi rolls. One Coconut shrimp roll and another rainbow roll with snow crab! Highly recommend, but don't be shy of the strip mall. You walk in and get transformed into an elegant sushi spot! Check them out!

Wow, what a find!! We went on search of a sushi place on the area different than where we've eaten before because we wanted to try something new. Based on the reviews, we decided to give this place a try. The vibe is so relaxing and calm. The server, Felipe, was so attentive and answered all of our questions. We started with the fried pork dumplings and that set the course of the evening. They were perfectly cooked and the sauce was divine. We ordered the Otsu roll and the Rock and Roll. Each of them were so fresh and tasty. The owners are Brazilian and we are definitely impressed with the quality.

Dragon fruit mojito - 14 dollars

Wanted to try a newer restaurant for my first 2025 magical dining experience. I made a reservation and came on a Saturday evening. I was immediately greeted by the hostess, who sat me in the requested sushi bar. I was immediately given the magical dining menu, which had the 3 course dinner for 40 dollars. I tried the croc tuna as the appetizer. It had sashimi tuna with a rice cracker crust with eel and bone marrow truffle aioli. I immediately smelled the truffle when it was given. The tuna was fresh and the rice cracker crust was unique. I enjoyed the sauces as the truffle was pretty strong. My dragon fruit mojito came afterwards (14 dollars), which was nicely presented with fresh dragon fruit on top. It was a refreshing drink, but I didn't really taste the sake, nor feel any buzz. It was pretty weak! For the main course, the rainbow roll was colorful with the white fish, salmon, and tuna on top. The filling was avocado, cucumber, and crab. I was very happy to see the used real snow crab instead of the imitation crab that other restaurants use. The snow crab made it much more flavorful. The other fishes were fresh and tender. For dessert, the chocolate mousse was presented oddly in a flat glass. Because of that, it looked more like melted ice cream. But it was still fluffy and chocolaty. It was quite rich though, so I took some of it home. The service was friendly, but felt rushed. I did enjoy that they did call me to confirm my reservation and asked in advance for seating requests. However, I noticed that my sushi came before I could finish the croc tuna, and the chocolate mousse came before I could finish the sushi. While I liked the very quick service, I think that would be better when having a power lunch, than a relaxing dinner. I think I was in and out in less than an hour. The seating area was quite small with just a few tables. There sushi bar was also small, but looked nice. I was surprised I didn't see a bar, so I have no idea how my cocktail was made. I wouldn't be surprised if it was just a pre made or canned beverage with the restaurant adding some toppings. The noise level was pretty quiet that I could hear the cool lounge music in the background. I also noticed that the lighting was getting fiddled with as it got a bit darker during the night, but then they brighten it up again before I left. This restaurant is located in a small strip mall at Winter Garden. The restaurant is pretty small, and the strip mall is across the street from a Publix complex. This sushi restaurant tries to be an upscale and intimate dining experience in the Winter Garden area. While the sushi is pretty good, I am still spoiled by Kabooki Sushi, which is still my favorite sushi place. Also, the service was quite rushed and the drink wasn't strong enough for it to be in the A tier. However, it was still enjoyable to recommend and a nice upscale sushi restaurant in Winter Garden. I will visit again and try their other sushi rolls as well. Overall: B+

We visited X Sushi on a Saturday night around 7:15pm. We had made a reservation through yelp, but were told that their Yelp reservations don't work, only open table works, which was a little frustrating. The team there said they could seat us in about 15 minutes, so we went to the back to their waiting area, which has the cutest compliment wall! We were seated about 30 minutes later. Honestly, our service experience made me really sad. All the tables around us were getting significantly faster service. We were seated, then given menus 10 minutes later. About 10 minutes after that, the waiter returned to take our order. I put in a drink (which then didn't come for another hour) and some edamame, and my companion asked what the seasonal fish was. It was another 20 minutes before our waiter returned, so we asked what the seasonal fish was again and he told us. Then we ordered. The edamame came out about 15 minutes from when we ordered it. Then we had 2 carpaccios, which came out in 15 and 20 minutes respectively (not horrible), and our rolls came out in about 30 minutes. We asked for some wasabi for the rolls, which never came. The waiter was so kind and had great energy, and I honestly don't blame him for any of this, but this place was woefully understaffed - one guy for the whole place just isn't a reasonable expectation. Be really did his best, and he even comped us a chocolate mousse because of the wait. Overall, we were seated there for around 2 hours. Now, let's get into the food. I want to start by saying that I don't think that I'm the target audience for this place. Their sushi seemed to have a spin on it that didn't line up with our expectations. The salmon carpaccio and scallop carpaccio were both cut kind of thick for a carpaccio, almost to the point where I'd call them crudos. The salmon was almost marinating in a kind of truffle sauce which, personally, I wasn't a fan of. It almost gave it more of a locks flavor which didn't work for me. The scallop was . . . Just straight up not what was on the menu, which confused me. It wasn't bad, but the flavor profile didn't balance. I found that it was too sweet and the scallop was overpowered. We both got the bluefin tuna roll, and we were surprised that it was 6 pieces instead of 8 as advertised. It was a really good roll, but I felt it needed some wasabi. I also loved the little pipette of soy sauce! It was so cute, but definitely only enough for 2 pieces and not the full set. My roll was also wrapped rather loosely, with the end pieces falling apart. One thing I will say is that all of the fish was amazing quality here, and again it tasted really good. Overall, I'd give this place a 2.5 if I could. I think they could definitely benefit from some more waitstaff. I also acknowledge that I'm kind of a traditionalist when it comes to sushi, so what I didn't love is probably ideal for a lot of other people! Would I go back? Probably not, but people seem to love this place, and I wish them many years of success.

Went to X sushi with my family to celebrate my birthday. If I could give it 10 stars I would. Food, taste, freshness, service exceeded my expectations. Everything looked beautiful and tasted delicious. Sushi was so fresh and clean tasting. Better taste than sushi I've had before and I've eaten sushi many times but apparently not at this quality. If you're a sushi lover you must try his place, really really high quality products. Server was attentive, the place was quiet and bathroom was so cute. We had the salmon car

The food is amazing! My daughter and I shared the spicy edamame, king salmon 3 ways, and Madre de dios. The food is incredible! The king salmon was prepared 3 ways - sashimi, sushi, and tataki served with the 2 year old Japanese soy sauce. This is a MUST try! Our favorite of the 3 salmons was the tataki - the sauce was very flavorful and smoky - we will be getting this again! The Madre de dios was made with yellow tail hamachi on a bed of coconut cream- it was refreshing and tasty! Nice and light compared to the salmon. Will be ordering this again! The service was great! Very attentive. The ambiance could use some work. It's a small place so everything is enhanced when you walk on. The first thing I noticed was the empty, dirty tables that was not cleaned up - even though it looked like the guests have been gone awhile. The music was way too loud and popping on a Sunday evening in a small space. Place looks like it fits no more than 30 people. For this reason, I'm giving it a 4 star.

4.9 stars with 29 reviews as of the writing of this one. WOW! And well deserved. This is literally a hidden gem nestled in a small strip mall in Winter Garden, FL off of SR 50. Hard to believe someone was bold enough to know "if we build it they will come". And they/we have. This charming restaurant boasts sheer ambiance coupled with superb service and quality sushi. Now, there is a premium to pay for it, but it's worth it. Next time you're in the mood for sushi and want to a great dining experience check out X Sushi - you won't be disappointed.

Stumbled upon this amazing strip-mall sushi spot, and it did not disappoint--10/10. We ordered the pork dumplings, Burning Fire Roll, Rock 'n' Roll Roll, the chef's pick, and miso soup. Everything was incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious. When you walk in, it doesn't feel like a strip-mall sushi place at all. Highly recommend! The vibes are amazing and the service was fantastic.

Well deserved five stars. What a spectacular hidden gem in Winter Garden. Once you step foot inside, it felt really nice and cozy. The waitress were both very friendly. They checked on us frequently to make sure everything was fine and if we needed anything. Very attentive. Food was out of this world! Every piece of fish was so fresh and delicious. Made my mother that much happier on her birthday. Parking lot is a bit small. There's alot of reserved spots for each of the stores. If you haven't been, make a stop here for dinner! You will not be disappointed!!!!

It's definitely one of the more affordable omakase options I've found and I'd come back and do it all over again. Here are some of my favorites in case you just want to try a few à la carte pieces. 1. Kinmedai with tomato powder and yuzu kosho - this was rich, buttery, and full of umami contrasted with tomato powder and yuzu for a nice bright lift. 2. Tachiou with green chili crisp was slightly torched so it had that nice smokiness and a little rendered skin fat while the rest was super tender. I think this is the first time I've had this dish and will be looking out for it now. 3. King Salmon with truffle cream and miso sauce was so ridiculously delicious, rich, buttery, melt in your mouth goodness. 4. Hotate with spicy tobanjan aioli was smoky, sweet, spicy, and oh so creamy. 5. Uni from Japan was perfectly briny, sweet, and creamy. If you're an uni lover this is for you. If you tried it before and didn't like it, try it again here. Honorable mention for the spicy tuna maki. It's probably the best I've had. Seasoned with togarashi, I assume a little kewpie mayo, maybe green onion, and some pickled daikon. Perfect heat, fresh, and a nice crunch and lift from the pickled daikon. They have set seating times and limited counter seats so be sure to make a reservation. They're very welcoming and friendly. The vibe is casual, which I love -- just come as you are.

Based on…read morethe way the situation was handled, I would have a very difficult time recommending this restaurant to anyone. Absolutely unacceptable experience at Aji Sushi Teppan in Winter Garden. We had a 6:30 PM reservation, yet the hibachi chef did not come out until 7:30 PM. What exactly is the point of taking reservations if customers are going to sit there for an entire hour waiting for the experience they reserved? The delay was bad enough, but the way management handled it was even worse. After waiting an hour, we politely asked to speak with the manager to see whether anything could be done regarding the bill because of the ridiculous wait. Instead of acknowledging the situation, apologizing, or even pretending to care about the customer experience, she sternly told us, "We do not do discounts," and then stormed off. That response was completely unprofessional and honestly insulting. We weren't asking for something unreasonable--we were asking management to acknowledge that making a reservation and then being left sitting around for an hour is unacceptable. A competent manager would have at least apologized, explained what happened, or offered some type of accommodation. Instead, we were treated like we were the problem for bringing it up. If you're going to charge people for a premium hibachi dining experience, then provide one. Don't take a 6:30 reservation, start the experience at 7:30, and then have management act irritated when customers aren't happy about it.

Frankly, I can't remember having eaten a better meal than I had today at Mikado, in MetroWest. The…read moreserver was responsive but never hovered, and she was ever gracious and charming. The booth we sat in had a beautiful and asymmetrical heavy wooden table top polished to a brilliant shine, and there were a surprising number of diners there at noonish, on a Tuesday... what's that tell you? Now: the food! *First, for the technically challenged, be warned that the menu is available via phone and QR Code. If you want a printed menu, too bad. Otherwise... We began our meal with Agedashi Tofu, which is fried cubes of tofu that have a magnificently thin layer of a crisp skin encasing melted tofu, and there's a perfect sauce to dip them in. I have been thinking about these for an hour now and can't even imagine how they are made. A delicious magic trick! Next, we had an Eel and Shrimp Tempura Roll, a Shrimp Tempura Bento Box, and two Nigiri and Sashimi lunch specials. The Tempura was light and crisp. The bento box included a spring roll, fried rice, and gyoza, all perfectly flavored. The Nigiri and Sashimi fish was served cold and absolutely fresh, and was sliced generously. The Nigiri and Sushi lunches included a California roll, 4 pieces of sushi, and six pieces of sashimi, and really was a lot of excellent food for a bargain $24. I almost forgot that we started, along with the Agedashi Tofu, with a very subtly flavored miso soup with tofu and seaweed. This was also perfection, with just a breath of ginger and perfect salt. I hope I've convinced you fans of Japanese food to try this restaurant. If you're new to Japanese food's many varieties and intricacies, or hesitant to eat raw foods, there are always cooked meat and fish dishes like Tempura or Teriyaki you can order, and then you can explore by tasting the more exotic things your friends and family order. Maybe you'll develop a taste for it! If you already have a taste for Japanese food, don't pass up an opportunity to eat a wonderful meal at Mikado, in MetroWest.

Went with my wife who is not a sushi fan since they have hibachi on the menu she could enjoy. While…read morethe sushi was a mix of some good and some just okay roles, the hibachi was a total turn off. She was so unimpressed by it I felt compelled to try it once I was done with my sushi. To my horror it was the worst hibachi I've ever had; there are several takeout/express type places I would rank above this in terms of quality. The steak had no sear at all on it, everything on the plate including the veggies was bland and lacking flavor, but the biggest disappointment? The rice. It had some sort of weird flavor to it and was extremely dry. While I would go back for the sushi, I cannot recommend this place for anyone that isn't a sushi fan.

It comes with noodles, upgraded fried rice and a medley of vegetables. I love that they include a miso soup. It's super easy to order with them on the phone and when I got there, everything was available and ready to go. Today the food was OK. My meal might've been soured because of a tiny hiccup I had. Years ago, I got a gift card from them, which I use only once since. Today I was told I had a zero balance on it and that the gift card never had any money on it based on their records. That's obviously impossible because why would I have a gift card that never had anything on it? I would say get gift cards with caution. Otherwise check them out for sure. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Ocoee because they have anime decoration and fun clean spaces. Dig in!

This review is a bit overdue but the experience has last much longer than the time spent there!…read more (My apologies, no photos this time!) I sat at the bar since it was only myself dining but thankfully the All You Can Eat (AYCE) dinner still applies to that section. It was under $40 to receive the food in excess minus the drinks; drinks (even cocktails) were very affordable. My bartender Jonell was awesome with servicing me (I had the passionfruit flavored Tropical Long Island) and Laine was super sweet in checking in on me during my dining experience! Please ask for their service when you visit, best recommendations! For my first round, I had the Clam Soup, Aged Tofu, Harumaki, Green Mussels, and Eel & Octopus Roll; for specialty rolls I had the King Kai, Crunchy (hand), and Eel Cucumber roll. Acording to my receipt I also got a King Oyster Mushroom Tempura [roll]? While I don't remember ordering it, I do remember that was one of my favorites! Loved the clam soup and the green mussels! Second round included a favorite from staff which was the Yellowtail Jalapeno (I'm very glad to have ordered that one, spot on! Thanks Jenna!). I finally had enough and topped my wonderful meal with a fried cheesecake dessert inlcuded in the AYCE dinner. All in all, for under $50 party of 1, I wouldn't trade this experience for any tourist Florida dining experience. ^_^

The presentation of the dishes was beautiful, but the nigiri had a bit too much rice for my taste, and the rice itself tasted slightly undercooked. That said, the salmon carpaccio with ponzu sauce was really good and probably my favorite thing we ordered. The ambiance is definitely a highlight though. It has a trendy, vibey atmosphere that would make it a great date night spot.

From the moment you walk in, the restaurant stands out with its modern, clean decor and a welcoming atmosphere that feels both cozy and stylish. We were greeted right away and seated immediately, which was a great start. Our server was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, helping us feel comfortable with our choices. They offer a wide variety of signature and specialty rolls. We ordered the Citrus Roll, Sea Fusion Roll, and Volcano Roll. Overall, they were good; however, in my opinion, they had a bit too much rice. I personally prefer less rice so I can better enjoy the flavor of the fish, but I understand that this can come down to personal preference. One roll that really stood out to us was the Honey Salmon! It was definitely a highlight of the meal. As an appetizer, we had the fried salmon croquette, which was good and a great way to start. To finish, we ordered the molten lava cake for dessert and it did not disappoint. We cleaned the plate! In terms of pricing, I felt that some of the rolls we ordered (aside from the Honey Salmon) were a bit on the pricier side considering the rice-to-fish ratio. I've had similarly priced sushi at other places with less rice, which better suited my taste. That said, we'd absolutely come back next time we're in Winter Garden. We'd love to try different rolls and explore more of the menu. Maybe the ones we chose just weren't the best fit for our preference
