I read the reviews of Richard's Auto Service being an honest mechanic, so I took him my vehicle a few months after moving to the Goldsboro area. Those reviews were correct. Richard's Auto Service is honest, but also so much more. Richard's Auto Service also offers quality work at a customer-friendly price (less expensive than www.yourmaehcanic.com -- a mobile mechanic service). Richard's Auto service is not in a high-traffic area, but it isn't far either and for work you can trust, the drive is well worth it. I have found my mechanic.

The last time I was there, they broke a lug bolt off my wheel spacer and didn't seem to care in the least about it.. Tommy conveniently says "it popped off" as though it could simply be "popped" back on again, and the proceeds to say that it's perfectly fine to drive around with a broken lug bolt. Excuse me??? I brought my vehicle there to be prepped for a cross country move with the good faith that it would be ready to roll when I picked it up, instead, we had to go searching for parts to repair it.. ..and not so much as a discount or even an apology for the mistake.. they simply didn't care in the least about damaging someone else's property... very disappointed because I truly thought they were above doing such to their customers..

I have to commend the sales manager (Jason) as well - he was just great to work with on the final numbers. I asked to talk to the service manager (Tyler) and he was equally confidence inspiring. It was fast and efficient and I feel like I got a very fair price, a no hassle (even pleasant!), experience, and I look forward to returning there for service. It's a laid back small town, genuinely friendly kind of vibe that was so refreshing to experience. My wife was even impressed.
