Burgers, pastas and a few other things, all done extraordinarily well. Like shocking amounts of flavor. If you're in the area and you have a chance to try it, don't hesitate. It's easy to find, there's plenty of parking, and you'll get to sample a truly local hidden gem where the owner is working the grill and putting his eyes on every plate. Stop in and try it. You'll be glad that you did.

Here are my thoughts: Pros: Alfredo had a good taste. Plate was heavy, albeit mostly noodles. Philly was made with whole chunks of steak and not ground meat. Plenty of seating inside. Soothing music played on the speakers. Coho or sockeye salmon was used, so chef didn't skip the health benefits of wild-caught fish. Cons: Philly looked to be missing the toppings. One portion looked like it was missing meat. Paid $9 more to add 3 stems of broccoli and 1 piece of chopped grilled chicken. I asked for my salmon to be cooked well done, but it was not due to the cashier typing "well done" under the broccoli add on. Meal was kinda pricey and while I did not mind paying for what I want...the amount of additional food vs the cost didn't add up. $4 for 3 stems of broccoli isn't right. One day, if we are in the area, I may return to try something different on the menu. Don't take my word for it. Try this restaurant out and leave a review on what you think.

On to the 3rd chicken wing place!…read more When I was looking for a place to fix my buffalo chicken wings craving, since previous places have disappointed me, I had high hopes for A-Train Station. This is a food truck that also offers delivery. VERY VERY disappointed. First off, the menu does not describe it, but most of the wings options come with fries. Okay, cool, the fries were crinkle cut and crispy. When I opened the container to chow down, I was so let down I wanted to cry (not really cry like tears though...well, maybe the food heart in me did). The wings are TINY TINY TINY TINY. Itty itty itty bitty. Think the length and the width of a pinkie finger. I have small hands (I need to buy child-sized gloves for winter wear and kid's sized shoes) and as you can see from the picture, they are smaller than a normal sized fork. What was more, I paid extra for "extra saucy wings." There was barely any sauce coating one side let alone being extra saucy! What was more, they were soggy and the minimal meat that was on the bone was a poor and tough quality. Thus, 1/5 for size, 1/5 for crispiness 1/5 for meat quality, 1/5 for sauce. RUN AWAAAY! BOOO HISSSSS THE WINGS HERE!!! Not worth the money. And the hot sauce? NOT SPICY. I've tasted ketchup that is more spicy!

It was an hour before closing so my friend and I decided to eat inside. The lady at the counter was pleasant as she took our orders. I ordered the egg roll combo, which was the special of the day. My friend ordered the Philly with fries. My egg rolls looked as if they had been reheated. They did throw in a soul food egg roll I guess for us to try. All of them were extra....crunchy, and I had to break the end parts off because they were dry and overcooked. I don't remember my friend having anything either way to say about his food. There was no option for the drink...they just handed us some green punch in a cup. The ice machine wasn't working and the lady had to go across the street for ice. The ice in our punch had already melted. There was both inside and outside seating. Overall, I think I will stick to the food truck when it's on my side of town. I wasn't really happy with my food but I know they offer better options. One thing to note....there was a kid in the place that was watching something on the tv (YouTube, maybe?) that, in my opinion was inappropriate due to the subject matter and profanity. The guy in the back was aware of this, shook his head, but did not tell the boy to turn it. This overall left a not so good impression. Yeah...I'll definitely be sticking to the food truck for my A-Train fix.

Ladies and gentlemen? Have you ever had a day or week or month or even a year of your life where…read moreyou were just tired of all the hype and general BS that tends to be sprinkled over generously upon everything you encounter? You know what I'm sayin'?! And when are you are traveling and you take a wrong turn and you are ranting and raving up a storm and a friend on the phone from Texas tells you "LISTEN!! Stop right NOW and get your ass something to eat !!"... Well, you just do it. Eating is never bad advice ! So if YOU are also sick of the hype and you just want substance over essence then you gotta drop into Sharks Fish and Chicken ! Its called "SHARKS" so it comes with some attitude ! The only reason that this place is not on the show Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives is because it is too new and tucked away in a hard to reach side street area off the beaten path. I arrived HUNGRY and GRUMPY. But when I saw the 6.99 DAILY SPECIAL for 10 HOT WINGS, FRIES and DRINK and began to eat the GENEROUS portion, I got HAPPY ! A' Lotta fried critters and fried critter parts here! Fried shrimp, oysters, fish, chicken, gizzards, livers and a surprising fish selection including whiting, flounder, tilapia, ocean perch, etc. Also and ANY fish sandwhich for $5.99 and they also make Philly Steak and Cheese Sandwiches ! Couple of different hot sauce varieties available in squeeze bottles. YIPPEE!! This place is in a fillin' station so don't look for ambiance. Right? Think of "kick ass street food" but you are out of the weather. This place was PACKED at lunch time because this is where the workin' folks stop for a bite. I am proud to do an FTR on this place because they don't need me or any of us YELPERS! They don't care none bout' no durned Yelpers here mister, they just do what they do!! So come in, order, sit down, shaddapp and eat FOOL !! You got it !? Good !! This place is simple, affordable, good, fresh, made-to-order food with generous portions that lacks pretension and is delivered with efficiency. TIP to the uninitiated: Parking is limited in a heavy traffic area. ALSO: You will smell like fried food when you leave this place so save your shower for afterward or don't shower so dogs will LOVE you and Vegetarians will secretly want to take a bite out of you! On the way out I was smiling because my lips were spicy hot wing burnin' and my belly was happy full. I turned on the local radio station 103 FM and drove away while Metallica blistered my ears !! ROCK ON YELPIES !!

Every staff member that I came in contact with was very pleasant. We dine in and we both ordered the cowboy special (2eggs hash browns or grits and toast or biscuit)with a fried pork chop. Oh! The biscuit was large and fluffy and begged for butter and syrup. Everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Add your own salt if need be. As we prepared to leave I over heard that there was PEACH cobbler and bread pudding. I absolutely had to try the cobbler and it was phenomenal!!!! Homemade crust no shortcuts. Give them a try.

It was crowded as usual. Mostly for take out orders. I was told to select any table and someone would be with me soon. The owner came over to take my order before I found the salmon patties on the menu. I didn't want to hold him up so I ordered what I normally get at WH minus the waffle. My request for extra cream was taken seriously and I so appreciate it. My coffee cup was refilled often and so was the container of cream when it got low! Since there was a line of cars in the drive thru and many customers ahead of me, I wasn't expecting my order so quickly. However, 17 minutes after I placed my order I had a freshly cooked breakfast in front of me. Grits, bacon, over easy eggs, buttered toast and jelly packets. I poured the grits into the platter, eased the eggs onto the steaming hot grits, sprinkled black pepper over the yolks, spreading the jelly over the requested uncut toast and blessed the meal. The yolks oozing over the platter just right told me the eggs weren't overcooked. The bacon was crispy and cooked straight like I preferred. It's quicker to spread jelly over a whole slice of bread rather than 4 cut pieces. When I looked up from eating there was an entire new collection of customers in line to order. The only complaint I had was I forgot to put my Badia brand Chile & Lime seasoning in the car. It's perfect for times like this when the Grits lack salt and needs seasoning without adding sodium. I understand they can't season the pot like I do at home but dang those grits were bland! Even salted butter would have helped! Those little containers of pretend butter products isn't enough. I hate those things. Give me real butter or nothing at all! So even though I ate my breakfast like I hadn't eaten in a week, I still have two compliments. Bland, unsalted grits and the lack of real butter products upon request. Everything else was on point. My toast was actually "toasted" brown and uncut like I asked. My over easy eggs weren't overcooked cooked but the white part was cooked without any brown. The yolks were running like I like. The bacon was cooked on the grill as my eggs. (I see a guy online serving precooked cold bacon that I would send back). It was crispy and straight! The grits although lacking salt, was steaming hot and not lumpy so almost perfect. My coffee cup was refilled as soon as it was emptied as I waited for my breakfast. I didn't have to continue to wait for more cream, because my server heard me when I asked for extra cream before hand. It's small things like that I appreciate. All in all I enjoyed being able to sit and enjoy a meal without my dog in the car running with the AC on. Or me getting a to go order so I'm not concerned about a hot car. I just remembered I hadn't reviewed my previous experience. I'm in the mood for salmon, rice and biscuit so I'm leaving the dog at home and going to have another meal in their dining room!
