We stopped at Wy East Winery along the Mount Hood Fruit Loop Trail. We sat on the deck with a glass of their wine while watching the alpacas roaming the grounds. It's an unexpected addition. The calm atmosphere, paired with views of Mount Hood and the vineyard, creates a perfect relaxing afternoon.

Amazing! Great wines, so much fun. We will definitely be back! Service is so friendly and awesome. The decor is fun and the outdoor ambiance is welcoming.

Delicious wines and well-priced tasting and bottles. Nice outdoor seating and even has cute animals to look at while sipping your wine. Friendly staff, and a relaxing, fun spot worth checking out on your drive through hood river, or on your wine tour!

What a gem! After years and years driving right by this vineyard right on Highway 30, I decided to make it our destination on Labor Day. I am so glad I did! What a charming setting! The patio is so quaint and inviting, lots of seating arrangements good for groups or couples. We chose a pair of comfy wicker chairs overlooking the field of flowers and alpaca and didn't leave for a few hours. The wines were quite good!! Usually a big, bold red drinker, since it was early in the day I opted for a glass of their Pinot Gris. It was the perfect choice for the warm summer day. Cris, light, with a hint of stone fruit, I had two glasses! And bought a few bottles to bring home. Also had a glass of the red table wine which I really enjoyed. The perfect drinking wine alone, with a charcuterie pate or meal. Prices are very reasonable, less than other boutique wineries in the area and well worth it. If you are ordering a glass, they offer a taste first which is much appreciated. They sell the most charming bouquets of flowers from their u-pick field and they are beautiful and affordable. At $5 a bunch, pick up a few and brighten someone's day! Of course I had to wander over to the flower field and take in the gorgeous views from that vantage point. I've never met a fresh flower I haven't loved! On a bright blue sky day, the last of the summer flowers looked incredible. Sunflowers, snapdragons, zinnia and more! in the parking area there is a food truck where you can purchase light meals and snacks. Service is friendly and inviting. I can't wait to go back! I am so happy that I found another winery to add to my list of "regulars" while in Hood River.

We were driving in the Mt Hood area at the exact time in the evening when most of the local wine tasting spots are shutting down for the day. We got to Wy'East 15 minutes before closing time and they could not have been more welcoming, this place has a GREAT vibe! We ordered a flight of 5 wines to sample and settled in the front on a comfy couch cluster, complete with several sweet and friendly dogs to try their wines. We ended up liking two of them so much, we left with two bottles to take home. Before leaving, I noticed they also have a sweet outdoor space in the back that appears to be filled with local art/sculpture. We ended up hanging out for about a half hour, nobody rushed us at all, in fact, management encouraged us to relax and take as much time as we needed!

Great wine stop ...., don't miss this one! Beautiful spots to sit and a great variety. I loved the rosé! The red was good too. The food truck with the vegetarian sandwich was perhaps the best I've ever had. My wife felt very happy and satisfied with the pulled pork cooked in a reduction of the properties wine. Service was friendly & did not lag.

This is such an underrated gem! My husband and I (+dog) visited for the weekend from Seattle. The folks here were accommodating, knowledgeable, and very kind. There are tons of different and unique spaces on the patio to enjoy. We chose to lounge in rocking chairs near the alpaca and had several glasses of wine plus the tasting flight. We will definitely come again on our next visit to Hood River. Bonus points for the delicious food truck that had generous portions of charcuterie. Highly recommend Wy'East Vineyards!

Alpacas below the deck.

Wy'East is a delightful small winery and vineyard. Their wines are well thought out and balanced. Their rose is the exact flavor of a summer day. Sipping on the back deck watching the birds and alpacas makes for a relaxing visit. We had a tiny Birthdays tasting for a friend on 6/8/21 and Jen couldn't have been a more welcoming hostess. She made sure we tasted the wines to find bottles we were interested in. She checked on us regularly to make we had everything and we were comfortable. We will be back soon to enjoy the wine and hospitality.

Absolutely lovely afternoon here with my daughter. Drove from Portland just to spend the day here. Wonderful wine and peaceful afternoon.

Tried this winery for the first time, and my husband & I were very satisfied. We live near Newberg, and were craving something beyond Pinot Noir's. We came specifically for the Carmenere, and Zinfandel, and they did not disappoint! Robust and jammy, but will stand up to a juicy steak! We left with 4 bottles. Definitely will be back! (Special shout out to Jen for fixing a minor problem)!

Relaxing stop on the way home from Hood River; they offer limited ciders and other refreshments besides wine. They have a food cart that was sending out some epic looking charcuterie boards, though we will have to go back to try them another time... they have funny and cool garden art to look at (or emulate) and alpacas, a horse and cute laidback "staff" dogs that keep their eye on you (probably for that bite of salami )!

I had an exceptional experience tasting here with my mother and partner. I will definitely be back…read more The winery itself has an absolutely amazing location. There was plenty of parking, though the road up is very steep, so make sure your E-brake is working! There are two outdoor seating areas, one just outside the main entrance, and one overlooking the river. The area overlooking the river is not open to people just tasting, but it looked like the perfect place to sit and enjoy a glass of wine. The interior tasting room (where we sat) is luxurious while still being comfortable. The ambiance of the entire place is lovely, and there is beautiful art and charming knick-knacks everywhere. I was pleased to see all of the pride flags-- it's cool to know you're drinking in a safe place. The woman pouring also let us know that the winery has a literary/witchy theme, which I thought was fun and an excellent conversation-starter. The wine was good. I like German varietals, and this place clearly knows how to do them well! The Gruner was my favorite, and we ended up getting an extra taste of the early harvest to compare to the mid-season, which was lovely. We also got an extra pour of some bubbles because someone else had ordered a glass. The woman pouring was incredibly friendly, very knowledgeable, and even had the winemaker herself come and chat with us for a moment. Tastings were $25 for a decent pour of 5 wines (though we ended up tasting 7) and they come with a little cheese/olive plate to boot! I was very impressed by the experience offered here. It seems this winery also does a number of events, which I am looking forward to attending. This was an amazing find, and I highly recommend you drive the extra 15 minutes out of Hood River/White Salmon if you are visiting to taste.

Loop De Loop is fantastic!!!…read more I stumbled upon Loop De Loop's Four Wind wine while having dinner at Anna's Table (Thank You John Z) in Cannon Beach, OR. Fast forward, we planned a stop at Loop De Loop after hiking Multnomah and Wahkeena Falls. It was one of the best surprises of the whole trip to Oregon. I expected Loop De Loop to be a small, modest vineyard and instead I discovered an absolutely stunning vineyard nestled in the picturesque hills of the Columbia Valley. I opted for the full tasting and I'm so glad I did. I really enjoyed the breadth and diversity of the wine offerings. And the wine is made organically!!! We actually enjoyed the wine and experience at Loop De Loop more than any vineyard we visited in Williamette Valley. We also tried the cheese plate and tinned fish, which were delicious. The venue has indoor and outdoor seating. I love the decor and art throughout the building. Service was really good. I dont recall the name of the young woman with red hair helping us out, but she was fantastic. This place gets pretty busy so I recommend reservations. Definitely check it out! Even if you're in Portland, it's worth the quick trek into Washington.

The wines were the star of our experience. WINE: 5.0. The certified wine expert among us could take only 2 bottles back with her to Japan from the 11 WA and OR wineries we visited during our road trip: one of her choices was a Savage Grace Cabernet Franc. SERVICE: 4.5. Michael Savage was the sole server, and thus we were able to talk directly with the winemaker. We appreciated his unpolished explanations about the style of wines he strives for, and about his vineyards and winery. He also pointed us to a great viewpoint a few minutes away. AMBIANCE: 4.5. We sat outside next to some production equipment; somewhat rustic, and with a nice view of the Columbia Gorge.

Let me start by saying the quality of wine and the view are the only reason I gave it a 2 star review. When we arrived we were fully aware of their 2 bottle purchase policy if you do a tasting. Which you should be aware of if visiting. There was a group of 5 of us, 2 who were prepared to purchase at least 4 bottles and do the tasting, 1 who doesn't drink and wanted to see the views, and 2 designated drivers for 2 cars. First the lady asked if we had reservations which we did not. The place was nearly empty with just one other couple. She then proceeded to say before we start you let's make sure our winery is a good fit for you and then began to interrogate us about those not drinking. She tried to push smaller pours with what they call a designated driver plan for the designated drivers which we declined. Still not seated through an interrogation of our intentions, she pushed the DD plan on our 3rd person who said she felt we weren't going to get seated if she didn't accept. The tasting was super slow and took almost 2 hours. We've visited numerous wineries but this is a first where they tried to push alcohol on the designated driver. The condescending way we were greeted and treated is not worth the ok tasting wine and spectacular views. We will not be back with our next winery excursion in the Hood River area.

There were maybe 4 tables occupied, so I was surprised it would take "a long while". One person from my party went directly to the restroom so didn't hear what was said, when he came out he went to the bar and asked if he could order a flight which he received a strict "no it's going to be a long while" Lol I understand being overwhelmed or whatever, we're human, but to have the attitude was unnecessary. We were thrilled to be there on one of the first sunny days in a very rainy 2022 Spring, so we sat on the sunny patio with the bright blue skies and native plants as the backdrop. We were greeted with a glass of Cab Franc Rose, which I had never had before, and we both really enjoyed it. We selected the flight since it was our first time having COR wine and we wanted a variety. The flight arrives in a tin bucket with individual carafes of each pour. There were four plus a complimentary pour, so three whites and two reds. Of the whites, the Cab Fran Rose remained my fave and I also enjoyed the Pinot Gris which was crisp and light. I'm a fan of big, bold reds but because of the sun, the red wines got so hot that we couldn't drink them which was really unfortunate. They did include a small bag of ice in the bucket to keep the wines cool but it was no match for the sun. Next time, even if I am tempted by the sun, I will select a seating area in the shade so we can enjoy all of the wines in the tasting. To round out our experience, we ordered the charcuterie for $35. COR continues to be very careful with Covid protocols so the charcuterie is a kit that you put together. Olympic Provisions salami, a box of hearty crackers, Marcona almonds and casteveltrano olives in mason jars, and a soft cheese were provided; all delicious. Service was warm and friendly, they answered our questions thoroughly. Some customers like to have the staff pour each taste and explain the wine; at COR you pour your own and info on the wines is provided on a card. I prefer it this way so I can drink at my speed and our conversation isn't continuously interrupted with a description of the next wine. Everyone has their own preference but this style works for me. Will definitely be back!
