I've been to Lowe's stores all over the country. Some stores have the most knowledgeable employees…read moreand others not so much. This store seems to lack some of the basic courtesies such as customer suport and a basic ability to communicate politely to a paying customer. Not all employees, but the one's that can't, really can't. I blame management. My poor experiences here are not limited to today's visit. Unfortunately, it happens fairly regularly. Today, I asked for help with a product. The employee held a finger up to gesture to wait (they were alone and looking at their phone) and never helped me. I got to the checkout line and saw the manager. Once again, chatting with 3 or 4 employees, while people waited in line at the only 2 registers open, as he usually does. After my items were scanned, I asked to apply for a discount, one freely offered, but never able to use because no one in the store seems to know how to process it (this is my 3rd or 4th time asking for it). I found myself at the same impasse as usual. The checker did not know how to ring it up. However, I stood there this time ready to wait for them to learn how. The checker didn't bother to stick around to learn it and I passed me off the "Sharon M" who was too busy to communicate with me in any manner other than to say the "system" was giving her trouble 6 or 7 minutes into the process. Finally, she asked for my email. I asked why she needed it and she said "the system" needed it. I said I didn't want to give it and she threw her hands up, sarcastically stated she "could not help me" and "here's your card back." The tab is $400.00 of a potential sale and poor "Sharon m" can't seem to regulate her emotions, sarcasm or keep a sale. I asked for the manager. I would have let this go, I understand this Lowe's has a customer service problem, but I never got to see the manager. Another employee came by, I guess, posing as the manager although, she never acknowledged either way. She was able to process the discount and sale, but never acknowledged my complaint of rude customer service. So, they lose my business. I can order most of their inventory on line with their competitors and never have to deal with rude employees. Unfortunately, another business loses local money due to a lack of competent, customer service and no incentive for loyalty.

My husband went to Lowes Southside to get 3/4 plywood. An employee was helping, but my husband…read morerealized it was pressure treated, and not what he wanted....the associate said, " I guess we don't have any", and walked off. There were 3 stacks of 3/4 next to it...my husband was left to load this on the cart by himself, and load it in his van by himself...my husband is 78 years old...in what world is this okay? No wonder Lowes is known for poor customer service!

This store is massively amazing…read more I read good reviews online, so we decided to stop by before we left town (we were visiting the Paducah antique and consignment shops for the day). I wish we had arrived earlier because there was so much inventory to look at. Store is super clean and well-staffed. Everyone was wearing masks and I noticed one employee sanitizing the clothing area after customers walked through/touched merchandise. At least that's what I think she was doing. I was very happy to see this. A couple of employees asked if we needed help with anything. This was a nice surprise given how large and moderately busy the store was. Huge selection of jewelry at the front of the store, then clothing, then housewares and home decor. I really wanted to see the housewares and home decor, so that's where I headed first. The store is nicely laid out and big enough that we weren't ever shopping on top of people. At times it seemed as though there were just as many employees as shoppers. I made it to the home decor and immediately noticed the T.J. Maxx prices. I was kind of expecting to see less expensive prices, but a great deal of there merchandise appeared to be brand new. The items that were clearly used/vintage were marked as though they were in an antique shop. They had a modern looking rooster for sale, something you might find at a HomeGoods, marked $49.99. Yikes! It was heavy, and medium sized, but way overpriced for a consignment shop (IMO). Goodwill prices these are not, but they really do carry some nice merchandise. I briefly looked at the women's clothing on my way out and they had some really nice items. Prices were similar to T.J. Maxx and Marshall's and the variety very similar as well. I definitely recommend visiting. They're located in a strip mall next to a Kroger, Dollar Tree, Harbor Freight & Tools and another store that appears to have recently opened. Looks to be a vendor based mall. Not enough time to check it out. 4/5 stars because of the 10am-5pm Tuesday-Saturday business hours. Seems archaic to me that a store like this isn't open 7-day a week. I do believe they'd attract enough business to warrant being open. Highly recommend!

I've been to this store several times and always leave with something I've paid my cash for. The…read moreselection is good and I love the color coordination of clothes. But today, I felt an employee was lurking, watching me look through the racks and I was uncomfortable. A piece of clothing had fallen to the floor near me, that I don't think I dislodged. The employee came right up near me, and hung it back up. I apologized despite not being sure I had done it. They said nothing back me, just gave me a dirty look. At that point I put back the shirt I was planning to pay cash for, and walked away. I glanced over my shoulder and they had already snatched up the shirt and moved it back to what I guess was a better spot. I just smiled as the person glared. Needless to say I won't be back for a loooong time if ever. Who treats their repeat cash paying customers this way? Three stars is generous, it's for the merchandise selection only.
