The paper has a circulation of 15000-20000 and I found it an interesting read. The story on curling was revealing to know that this sport is taking off locally. Yes, a sport where you carefully throw a kettle down a sheet of ice to score points is now becoming quite southern. Of course, lots of local news but also an "agony aunt", horoscopes and information on local shows and events. [Review 15836 overall - 1413 in Florida - 1340 of 2021.]

There are three different rock stations here in Jax. There's a classic rock station, a plain…read moreeverything rock station, and there is X1029, the new rock station. I have all three stations saved in my car, but I rarely if ever listen to X1029. They do play new stuff, but it seems like the music that is played really isn't in the rock genre at all. The songs can be heard on the pop or even hip hop stations in the city. I'm not picky, nor am I close-minded to new music, but I want to hear new rock and rock from the past 10-15 years. I don't want to hear the same thing that can be heard on every other station in Jacksonville.

I especially like that it was the first station to play Edward Maya and other techno-ish tracks. Not to mention that years ago they were playing Filipino-American group One Voice while the other station didn't. Being affiliated with a larger network, they have better contests where you win more money. Their morning show MJ in the Morning is also interesting as well.

Ever since WQOP 1460 asked my son and our parish Steubenville Orlando youth group to visit the station a few years ago and go "on air" to share their memories and experiences from Steubenville, I've been a fan of Queen of Peace Radio! Their radio program schedule is Chockfull of quality Catholic Talk Shows, daily Mass and classic shows from EWTN and the Vatican. Such a nice change to listen to a "quality" AM radio station that's fully listener supported whose content is both relevant and inspirational.
