The staff was very friendly and answer all the question I had. Not only does this store have shoes they also offer hype clothing that you won't find at a regular store in the mall. They also have supreme accessories and some Sandals. Even do the location is far from home I took the drive which it was about an hour and half. Today I went for the 3 time since the store open and they have done some work since day one. Some new art on the walls and more hype pairs since day one. The store doesn't look like much from outside, but once you get inside you can tell the owner cares about what he is doing. You might ask yourself about prices, we'll let me tell you they are not on the cheap side. However the stuff they got in store you won't be able to find easy at your local mall. Compare to other stores that carry similar stuff the prices are not bad at all. If you looking for something new to look at or buy, this place is worth the trip. They also buy new hype stuff depending on the demand they have in the store. At the moment they don't do any consignment which maybe in the future they will. John Hernandez has done a great job making this store grow and has plenty of plans for his store. I will be coming back for some stuff in the future!!

Jesse, JP, Max, and the entire team are great to work with every time I stop in. They're knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and you can tell they genuinely love sneakers and the culture. He just knew we would need to order them online, but they would arrive for Sun. Well, I did a google search and it showed that WSS carried the shoe. I'd never heard of WSS. But before we drove out there, I called the store and the wonderful Ms. Kaneka answered the phone and let me tell you...she was so amazing! The level of customer service she provided was outstanding. I didn't know people were still going above and beyond. She ending up finding the shoe in their store and we drove out that way. It was too funny when we walked in the door...it's as if she knew it was me from the phone call. WSS, thank you for hiring Kaneka. She is an asset to the business and she knows how to make sale. We were also impressed with the inventory of shoes and clothes provided at the store. I"m sure we will be back.

The new Southern Roots is a remodeled former vintage home, next to "SERVE by Hallie B." boutique. Great neighbors! Southern Roots offers style for both guys, and the gals: classic looks, casual comfort, and outdoors wear by Patagonia, and other brand names. Classic Birkensock sandals in many colors and designs. Water wear sandals & shoes. I bought a Patagonia "NOH2O" rainproof hooded windbreaker with big waterproof pockets that has done the job when needed, really came in handy. Accessories, hats, sunglasses, accent jewelry, socks, gloves, and more. Staff was pleasant and helpful during my visits. The new Roots at 505 N. Goliad has it's own parking in back, and along the north side. Marked ADA parking space & ramp entry into Roots. So, looks like February 13th, a Saturday, will be a "Block Party" to welcome Southern Roots.

As for people who say the stuff is over priced... I found it to be completely the opposite. It's extremely reasonable, I won't say cheap because they carry nice brands. But the most expensive item I got was like $75! Most in the $30-50 range which I think is fantastic for a high quality boutique that caters to their customers! They are definitely a for profit company and are a great alternative to going to the mall. Nevertheless the staff has no idea how to sell.
