This is a nice, new beer garden. It's not super exciting, but nice to meet up for beers. There's a lot of outdoor space which is good when the weather is nice. My girlfriends and I went here during our June trip. It was a cool place - there is a vast selection of beer for one friend, cocktails for the other, and wine for me! Really nice place to hang out with friends and meet new people. Lots of outdoor seating, great variety of drinks (beer, wine, frozen cocktails, etc) there's also food trucks there, I think theirs is Fete au Fete which is there most nights with other rotating trucks on the weekends. They also have free popcorn. Crawfish on the weekends till they run out! The atmosphere is very chill and for the most part people dress casually. Dogs are also welcome so if you want, bring your furry friend! We went on a Wednesday night and my friend told me it was pretty packed so I can only imagine how crazy it gets on the weekends. This place in mid-city has good drinks, prices, and environment. My colleagues and I came here after work this week and enjoyed sitting outside with some drinks. We all have various tastes in beers and other drinks and we all found what we wanted and didn't pay much at all. Parking was easy, too. Overall, it's kind of like Bayou Beer Garden. The pros with this place though would be a nicer newer outdoor space and plenty of parking. read more

I've had Wrong Iron on my list of places to check out and I was not disappointed! It's a big patio with plenty of seating -- Mix of picnic tables and lounge chairs. Cool space. Tons of seating. We arrived around 7:45pm. Awesome staff. Delicious food truck in the parking lot. It did get really loud around 9:45pm (we were sitting all the way on the other end and it was still loud)-so if you are trying to talk it might be hard. Decent sized parking lot and a muddy field next to the parking lot is also available too for the moment . Will definitely be back just maybe earlier in the evening. read more

This is probably going to be my go-to spot whenever the weather is nice. There's a ton of delicious beer, a ton of seating, games for bored significant others, and always puppies to pet! I couldn't do the frozen drinks as they were way too sweet for me, but a few friends said they enjoyed them. We went a month or so after opening and I think they were still working out some kinks with serving people outside vs inside, etc, but everyone was still helpful and nice so we'll be back! read more

Wrong Iron is a great rustic train station style beer garden and bar along the Lafitte Greenway just up from Jeff Davis Parkway if you're biking, or walking and it is also accessible from Toulouse Street. The staff and bartenders are amazing and prices are about standard for the area. There are fire pit clusters and there will be a stage for live bands and events. It is a great place to hang out for sports. Several food trucks will appear through the week. You can't go wrong making a stopover here. read more

One inside bar shaped so crowded mass of young people who don't know bar etiquette (get your drink and move out so other's can order) forms a wall of people. Oddly, no outdoor bar, which is the reason I wanted to check this place out. The main bar inside lacks any character other than being a place to get your drink and go outside. When I was there it was impossible to even get a drink. I figured a "beer garden" would feature an outdoor bar. Just dissapointed and not my crowd. Yuck! Ordered a $13 cheese board, it had a couple soggy crackers and 3 kinds of cheese that were all disappointing, the accoutrements were straight out of a can. My Froze came about 10 minutes later, watered down but still entirely too tart somehow (really their only accomplishment). Fine, I'll order a different drink. I asked for a vodka soda (I know it's basic AF, but I need at least one thing I'm willing to ingest), nope, my lime was brown. JESUS, I paid my $30 tab and I will never be back. The servers were nice and helpful, the only redeeming quality of this whitewashed bar, so many cool options in the neighborhood, not sure why you would try this one. read more
