I've been here a couple of times for KCRW films for anyone who donates. It's a nice theatre. Wish the aisles were bigger, but comfy seats, good screening experience. They also have a large lobby area for wine/mingling and tables and chair so that's good. Not a bad place too watch a free movie. They also usually do Q&As afterward.

The movie was complex, thought provoking and controversial, but a must see. Rodeo Screening room Pricing is hourly and based on the day and time of the week, and the complexity of the film. ### 2024 review 34/100 ###…read more First time at this screening location. The email confirmation didn't include any information on parking validation -- that usually is the case for all FYC screenings in the industry. Emailed to inquire but got no response. On the day of, we circled around the blocks but found no parking on the streets either, on a Saturday afternoon. As we were getting close to 2pm screening time, having wasted time driving around looking for parking -- we ended up parking in the attached parking structure. Got the last 2 seats but had to sit separately. They apparently turned away a few people -- must have overbooked for no show. It's a small but cozy & comfy theater. No reception after the screening of The Substance, so don't know if they have any room for reception setup. Oh and the bathrooms are locked -- I got lucky as they left the women bathroom door prop'ed open. But the men's bathroom was locked and I had to wait for hubby while he goes find who may have the key. Pro tips: - show up early as most screenings overbook due to no show - confirm for parking validation, or show up early to look for street parking

My son has been wanting to see Devil Wears Prada 2 and the first one is one of his favorite movies of all time. Personally, I don't like that movie but I went along with him. Tickets are $25 each and they have a $4 parking garage, but we were lucky enough to get a free after-hour meter on the street. It's a nice place and it seems like comfort is their top priority. The recliner chairs are extremely comfy and come with a blanket in case you get cold. You know how movie theaters are always chilly. Once you get settled, you can press a button that sends an employee over to take your order. It's completely optional. We got one small popcorn (light butter, $6) which was big enough for both of us. I like this idea of having the option of ordering and dining at your seat while watching a movie, but the reality is a bit different. It's kind of annoying to see the employees coming and going when someone needs a refill or places a new order during the movie. You can hear them talking and they can even block your view. It's frustrating when you are trying to focus. With that being said, I think it has more pros than cons. There are bars and bathrooms located across the several floors and the one we went to was exceptionally clean. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to come back to this theatre. I prefer something more standard like AMC or Pacific Theatres (RIP!)...

My wife and I were members of iPic for years and have always utilized the nearby Westwood location…read more Although disheartened when the company entered bankruptcy, we were encouraged to find out it had been purchased and would continue operating as The Cinemas Los Angeles. Last week, we attended a showing of Toy Story 5 at the theater. We learned that not only is the new ownership not offering food service during the transition but intends to abandon that amenity altogether. This is among the most foolish decisions that could be made from a business perspective and will undoubtedly result in a total loss on the owners' investment. The building has a gigantic kitchen going to waste. The screens are small, and the ticket prices are high. The sole reason people have chosen this theater over the numerous options (e.g. Century City AMC) is its special quality of in-theater dining and expanded, up-scale fare. It is absurd that the owners are trying to spin this as an improvement, claiming this unique feature has been "retired in favor of elevated food & beverage offerings -- designed to enhance your cinematic experience by reducing service-related noise, light and other distractions." No amount of polishing to the menu at the tavern will offset the loss of clientele brought on by the abandonment of the in-theater dining option. The owners need only look to the onslaught of terrible reviews streaming in across Yelp and Google or the consensus of complaints in the Reddit community to understand the extent to which this misguided approach will devalue their investment. They will certainly be losing our business until this irrational new approach is reversed.

I was pleasantly surprised by some of the modern concessions they had, specifically the cans of LaCroix they were selling. Love it. This is located on a busy part of Wilshire. But don't panic. There's parking for you if you're stealthy. Right before you approach the theatre, there's a small side street called Holt. If you turn onto Holt, it's free residential parking all the way down (please read the signs though). Parking closer to the theatre on this street will get you one free hour of parking but if you park several blocks down will give you more time. Consider this option if you don't mind a bit of a walk. I hope to come here for more screenings in the future.

Review #925 2025-103…read more My gal pal invited me & my son to attend a Zootopia 2 private industry screening at The Crescent Theater with her husband. Located on Crescent Dr. & Wilshire Blvd., The Crescent Theater is a 114-seat private theater with 4K Christie CP-4220 Digital Cinema projector & 5.1 audio equipment that's calibrated regularly along with the light level for optimal settings. An underground parking garage is located off Crescent Dr. just north of Wilshire Blvd. Proceed to the single "visitor" lane, select the "ticket" button for a parking ticket, & proceed to P2 or P3 for parking. Make sure to get a validation sticker for your parking ticket, & stick it on the non-printed/blank side to be scanned at the time of exit. The assigned theater parking was relatively empty & dark, my son said it was kinda scary being in the garage & hurried to the elevators. Once we arrived to the designed floor, there was clear signage directing you to the theater. An agent was posted near the entrance to check-in guests; no tickets or QR codes like the regular theaters. The theater itself was nice with gradual stadium seating. We sat in the middle at the right edge, but still had a nice view. The movie was scheduled to start at 1:00 PM, & the projectionist started the movie about 10-mins. after; no movie previews to sit through. Yasss! Due to the private nature of the screening, no drinks (except bottled water) & snacks are allowed, & none were provided. The sound was crisp & clear, though a bit too loud for my taste. The seats were ok; normal, no reclining with barely enough space for someone to walk past without stepping on your toes. The audience was respectful of others; no one was talking, the kids stayed in their seats, no crinkling or rustling of snack bags. It was a pleasant experience with no conflicts... we thoroughly enjoyed watching Zootopia 2 at The Crescent Theater on a Sunday afternoon. There's a bright, airy lobby that's perfect for lounging before & after the movie. It's currently decorated for the winter holidays. No concession stand like the typical theater. I love The Crescent Theater... would love to be invited back for future screenings!

Watching movies on a rooftop with headphones, cozy seating, and the city atmosphere around you is honestly unmatched. I love the movie selection. They always have great films in rotation, especially nostalgic and romantic classics. Watching The Notebook here was unforgettable. It was romantic, funny, and somehow perfectly timed because it started lightly drizzling during the rain scene on screen. It made the whole moment feel surreal and cinematic. I believe the first popcorn is either free or included with the ticket, which is a really nice touch. The food and drinks are solid, and the overall vibe is relaxed but thoughtfully curated. Definitely bring your own blankets, especially on cloudy or cooler nights, because it gets extra cozy. One tip is to always check the weather before going, since it is an outdoor rooftop experience. That said, the atmosphere is worth it, and I will absolutely keep booking here whenever I'm in the mood for a nostalgic movie night with a unique twist. Highly recommend for date nights or a fun, different evening out.

We checked in at the front entrance and took the slow-moving elevator up to the rooftop. It wasn't a huge deal, but definitely something that stood out. When we got to the top, we were asked to fill out a waiver on our phones--super quick and easy, but honestly something that could've been done earlier when buying tickets online. Parking in the area was $20 at a lot across the street. Not terrible for a Friday night in LA, but still worth mentioning. Your ticket includes skate rental and one drink, so we grabbed a Paloma (the other option was not available) which hit the spot. Unfortunately, the skating surface was a bit of a letdown--treaded hard plastic mats that didn't offer a smooth ride. It took a lot of effort to move and wasn't beginner-friendly. Plus there was a tricky spot that tripped up more than a few skaters. The biggest surprise was the low energy overall--music was pretty quiet, and the vibe felt more relaxed than festive. We expected more of a party atmosphere for a Friday night rooftop in the heart of LA. It was still fun to do something different and hang out with our group, but unless they upgrade the floor or amp up the energy, it's probably a one-and-done for us. Tips: - Allow extra time for the elevator to the 3rd floor. - $20 parking lot across the street. - 1 Drink included, so grab one and make the most of it!
