### 2024 review 34/100 ###…read more First time at this screening location. The email confirmation didn't include any information on parking validation -- that usually is the case for all FYC screenings in the industry. Emailed to inquire but got no response. On the day of, we circled around the blocks but found no parking on the streets either, on a Saturday afternoon. As we were getting close to 2pm screening time, having wasted time driving around looking for parking -- we ended up parking in the attached parking structure. Got the last 2 seats but had to sit separately. They apparently turned away a few people -- must have overbooked for no show. It's a small but cozy & comfy theater. No reception after the screening of The Substance, so don't know if they have any room for reception setup. Oh and the bathrooms are locked -- I got lucky as they left the women bathroom door prop'ed open. But the men's bathroom was locked and I had to wait for hubby while he goes find who may have the key. Pro tips: - show up early as most screenings overbook due to no show - confirm for parking validation, or show up early to look for street parking

Very well located screening room, easy to find, right in the heart of Beverly Hills…read more The actual screening room isn't big, but it's clean, the decor is nice, cozy with very comfortable seats, a major plus. My main issue with this place is that you have to pay for parking, there's a garage with various rates for week day versus weekend. The person who pays for the booking - they are charged plenty, so parking on top is too much for guests in my opinion. I did find street parking. So come here early to hunt for free street parking!

It's been a long time since I've been to the movies, especially a place like this. I've been to…read morethis type of luxury theatre many years ago and it's definitely a good way to treat yourself. My son has been wanting to see Devil Wears Prada 2 and the first one is one of his favorite movies of all time. Personally, I don't like that movie but I went along with him. Tickets are $25 each and they have a $4 parking garage, but we were lucky enough to get a free after-hour meter on the street. It's a nice place and it seems like comfort is their top priority. The recliner chairs are extremely comfy and come with a blanket in case you get cold. You know how movie theaters are always chilly. Once you get settled, you can press a button that sends an employee over to take your order. It's completely optional. We got one small popcorn (light butter, $6) which was big enough for both of us. I like this idea of having the option of ordering and dining at your seat while watching a movie, but the reality is a bit different. It's kind of annoying to see the employees coming and going when someone needs a refill or places a new order during the movie. You can hear them talking and they can even block your view. It's frustrating when you are trying to focus. With that being said, I think it has more pros than cons. There are bars and bathrooms located across the several floors and the one we went to was exceptionally clean. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to come back to this theatre. I prefer something more standard like AMC or Pacific Theatres (RIP!)...

The first-floor lobby had no seating at all, despite the theater branding itself as a luxury, comfort-focused experience. I politely asked if I could sit for a few minutes in the empty restaurant seating area, which was completely unused at the time, and was repeatedly told no due to "policy." While I understand policies exist, I was surprised that no reasonable accommodation or alternative seating was offered for a disabled patron who was simply waiting for family. What upset me most was not just the lack of accessibility-minded accommodations, but the dismissive attitude I encountered from several employees and the difficulty I had even obtaining the manager's name. For a theater that emphasizes comfort and premium service, I expected far more compassion, professionalism, and awareness regarding accessibility needs.

I was pleasantly surprised by some of the modern concessions they had, specifically the cans of LaCroix they were selling. Love it. This is located on a busy part of Wilshire. But don't panic. There's parking for you if you're stealthy. Right before you approach the theatre, there's a small side street called Holt. If you turn onto Holt, it's free residential parking all the way down (please read the signs though). Parking closer to the theatre on this street will get you one free hour of parking but if you park several blocks down will give you more time. Consider this option if you don't mind a bit of a walk. I hope to come here for more screenings in the future.

Dear Fine Arts Theatre,…read more Theatre is great and has free parking after 4pm nearby walking distance. Seating is red classic style like in the 90's and got to "hold on to your butts" as those may not be the best comfort for all. Love the outside setup looks well done and they keep up the theatre well. Signage is nice too for all events like Cometfest 2025 for Jurassic park this year. Love the walk in area to talk and get freebies and have social time with everyone. Screens with all the comet shows that are ongoing and Xena coming up. Snacks we got and great dinosaur talk before the movie started. A great theatre experience and then got to share experience with the Comet team. Thanks for bringing Comet to fine arts this year and having freebies too made it all fun

Such a unique and memorable place. Melrose Rooftop Theatre is one of those experiences that feels…read morespecial from the moment you arrive. Watching movies on a rooftop with headphones, cozy seating, and the city atmosphere around you is honestly unmatched. I love the movie selection. They always have great films in rotation, especially nostalgic and romantic classics. Watching The Notebook here was unforgettable. It was romantic, funny, and somehow perfectly timed because it started lightly drizzling during the rain scene on screen. It made the whole moment feel surreal and cinematic. I believe the first popcorn is either free or included with the ticket, which is a really nice touch. The food and drinks are solid, and the overall vibe is relaxed but thoughtfully curated. Definitely bring your own blankets, especially on cloudy or cooler nights, because it gets extra cozy. One tip is to always check the weather before going, since it is an outdoor rooftop experience. That said, the atmosphere is worth it, and I will absolutely keep booking here whenever I'm in the mood for a nostalgic movie night with a unique twist. Highly recommend for date nights or a fun, different evening out.

We checked in at the front entrance and took the slow-moving elevator up to the rooftop. It wasn't a huge deal, but definitely something that stood out. When we got to the top, we were asked to fill out a waiver on our phones--super quick and easy, but honestly something that could've been done earlier when buying tickets online. Parking in the area was $20 at a lot across the street. Not terrible for a Friday night in LA, but still worth mentioning. Your ticket includes skate rental and one drink, so we grabbed a Paloma (the other option was not available) which hit the spot. Unfortunately, the skating surface was a bit of a letdown--treaded hard plastic mats that didn't offer a smooth ride. It took a lot of effort to move and wasn't beginner-friendly. Plus there was a tricky spot that tripped up more than a few skaters. The biggest surprise was the low energy overall--music was pretty quiet, and the vibe felt more relaxed than festive. We expected more of a party atmosphere for a Friday night rooftop in the heart of LA. It was still fun to do something different and hang out with our group, but unless they upgrade the floor or amp up the energy, it's probably a one-and-done for us. Tips: - Allow extra time for the elevator to the 3rd floor. - $20 parking lot across the street. - 1 Drink included, so grab one and make the most of it!

Takes me back to a time I rode my Mongoose to the theatre at the Battlefield Mall in Springfield, Missouri on a summer day, dump my bike somewhere beside the building so I could smoke a Marlboro Red, met my best friend, rolled the box up in my sleeve and watched a Charles Bronson flick two or three times in a day.

Seats were comfortable, film print was soft and lovely to behold. First off: parking. No lot, but we arrived for 11:15pm doors opening at 11 and were rewarded with an off hours meter right out front. Then, lined up behind other early patrons, behind the sign stating ONE LINE. Whether you've pre-purchased tix online, or will purchase at box office, each guest goes in one at a time with an issued BO ticket stub. FAB! Greeted and welcomed warmly by staff. LOVED that the manager came up to the front on a mic and spoke a bit about the theater and the formats then announced house rules: cell phones away, no conversations, be a decent human. (I may have added the 3rd, but that was the gist.) Previews were curated to align with "True Romance" - SO COOL! We were treated to the original theater trailers for "Bandlands"(1973), "Bonnie & Clyde"(1967) and "Wild at Heart"(1990). Seats were comfy, traditional, OG movie theater seats. Plush fabric on padding - no reclining here! Our seats in the front row were a perfect distance to the screen and we thoroughly enjoyed "our movie." We have multiple formats and release of this Tony Scott(RIP) film from a Quentin Tarantino/Roger Avary(uncredited) script, but NOTHING beats the "pops", "hits" and beautiful colors of 45mm film. New Beverly Cinema is proud of their (Mr. Tarantino's) collection and lovingly share many awesome classics at a very fair price. I've previously purchased merch (Rick Dalton & international release version "Resevoir Dogs" shirts) for Hubs from their website and we've been happy with the quality of everything. Tonight, I was a bit disappointed they weren't carrying "True Romance" shirts, but that's okay, '...usually, that's the way it goes, but every once in awhile, it goes the other way too.' Cheers! "CC"
