This company has a lot of potential and the owner Larry Wright is extremely fair and compassionate! I had a horrible pack up experience at my previous location and this crew not only handled my unload respectfully but charged me a reasonable price. When I was on the phone with Mr. Wright he said typically 30 pieces of furniture and 50 boxes would run about 5 to $600. He came to our home to take a look at what we had. We had fewer than 30 pieces of furniture but several boxes in our two bed room (full basement) home. Mr. Wright determined moving our contents would take at least 8 hours with two men and himself and the cost would be $1000. We were going two and a half miles so we thought it might be less expensive. We asked if a significant number of the boxes were gone would it affect the price. We were told that it definitely would affect the price. My husband and I, the day before Wrights were to come, moved several pickup truck and car loads of boxes. We began around 10:30 and worked until about 7 PM on moving boxes. I wanted a particular piece of furniture in the basement. If something won't fit-then it won't fit. They broke the light on the staircase wall. It is now hanging by the wires. No, they didn't pay for it or for the electrician to replace it. They began our "eight hour move" around 9:30 AM and were completely finished by 1:30 PM. They charged $1000. Had we known there would be no price reduction for their being done with our move 4 hours and countless boxes they didn't have to move. We would have left all the boxes for them to move. Don't consider using them unless you like over paying for services. We have gouged walls. scraped corners, you know about the light and I can't count the times they ran into the baseboards. The work they did was possibly worth $500-$600. Minus the electrician and the stairwell light. read more

Wright's Moving packed me up and moved me from Topeka to Iola, in southeast Kansas. The entire process was quick and painless. These guys are the best...they moved the heavy stuff without a whimper. The literal worst experience I could have imagined. They charged hourly and moved like it. They didn't bring a big enough truck and left approximately 10% of my belongings behind and then just got in the truck and left without attempting to make it right or even really addressing it at all. They also didn't staff correctly so the 60-mile trip in between my old and new home took them nearly two hours because they had to stop and pick someone else up (who clearly didn't work there and was doing someone a favor, they had to teach him how to lift and use the straps correctly), and I was charged for the time it took to stop and pick up the other help and and his training time. The entire staff swore like crazy, to the point I had to ask them to stop cursing in front of my neighbors and children. They gouged the walls multiple times and didnt say anything. I paid a $1000 (after being quoted $800 and charged for their ineptitude) for the laziest, most unprofessional service I have ever experienced. There were 3 movers and I watched as the owner carried a single cord from the truck to the house. Multiple. Times. He made me calculate what I owed him and when I pushed back on the price, he said 'we left stuff at the other house?' I said i had told him this multiple times. He shrugged and said one of his "guys" had cleared the house so this was news to him. He is the owner and this is his responsibility. I would have been so embarrassed to go to a customer over and over and admit that I had failed to the do the job I was hired to do and yet that's exactly what he did, without ever taking responsibility or even an apology. I am disgusted and frustrated. I will have to rent a uhaul to get the rest of my belongings and I will have to pay to have my walls fixed where they were damaged. After not showing up for over two hours the owner called to see how his crew was doing. He was told they did not call or show up, so he checked on them, he called me back and said they were working on the truck. They finally showed up 4 hours late, but the crew did do a good job, when done they had the nerve to ask for a tip, well that didn't happen. read more

When we called to book, Mr. Wright was not available for the day but he said two of his guys would be able to do the small move. On the day of the move, they showed up 2 1/2 hours late without ever calling. Their appearance was not professional and they repeatedly cussed during the job. They had to use a dolly down 3 flights of stairs and banged my 'fragile' boxes the entire way. Needless to say their services left a lot to be desired. read more
