You can go online to Florida southerns home page and look up when they have operas and other performances as well as the prices. It's a very fun experience. Before you see the show spare some time to walk around the beautiful campus.

Wow! These people love Christmas to a degree that I don't think I have ever seen before. I have…read morewanted to visit for several years now and it was well worth the detour on a recent trip to Winter Haven to finally stop and take in this one of a kind spectacle. Since 1983 the Bigda's have been showing up and showing out for Christmas in a big way. Some people have lights synchronized to music while others concentrate of yard decorations but the Bigda's have everything and more. While there are more than 100,000 lights what really sets them apart is the one of kind handmade decorations with movement. While they are mainly Disney centric I also spotted the Grinch riding a bike and Snoopy getting the upper hand on the Red Baron as they flew in the sky. In 2020 they won their episode of ABC's "The Great Christmas Light Fight". Pictures do not do this house justice, You have to see it in person to really appreciate its grandeur. The Bigda's collect donations for Polk County Sheriff Children's Charity so drop them a buck. In addition to the incredible display, Santa himself was hearing children's Christmas wishes and Stich, Lilo, Captain America, and the Gingerbread Man from Shrek were on hand to take photos with visitors. A big shout out to the Bigda's for providing this amazing holiday experience for Central Florida. I overheard people talking who had come from the theme parks to see this house. A big thank you also to the Bigda's neighbors for their grace. It can't be easy to have this much traffic come into your neighborhood, clog your streets, and block your driveways. They are such good sports. The neighbor across the street from the Bigda's even gave them his front yard so their decorations spill across the street into his yard. Add this house to your Christmas bucket list.

I've seen Cinderella, Little Shop of Horrors and most recently Peter Pan. What a great experience! They spend quite a lot of money on the staging and costumes. Always a very impressive performance. The sound system is excellent and the seating is graduated so the back row is still a great place to sit. Never had a bad seat in the house. The serve 'complimentary' wine and beer before the play and during intermission (please tip to be respectful!). They sell $1 concessions beforehand and during intermission as well. This is a great place to take your family or even go on a date. Main stage tickets are $22 for adults. If you don't mind heading to Lakeland for a show, it is well worth it. On a side note, most restaurants and bars close at 11pm. Check out Texas Cattle Company next door for drinks and/or food!

The pirate cover live water ski show at Legoland is definitely worth going to see. It's a cute and…read morenot too long show with water-skiing, splashing the crown and of course catching an evil pirate! Ahoy mateys! The main seating area is where you want to go. There is a spill over theater that is a horrible view. Get to the show 20 minutes early and score awesome seats. If the kids want to get wet, then let them in the splash zone and they'll do everything they can to soak them all. So we've got good lady pirates, lego pirates, lego soldiers, some corny canned vocal audio and lots of ski tricks. Add it all up and believe it or not you get a pretty entertaining scenario. The kids love the ski tricks and it took me back to the days of Cypress Gardens. If you're at the park, have the time and need some rest...this is a solid go do!

The sun has weathered this stadium and the costumes as well. I'm not sure how much more you can do with this show and the waterskiing element but it needs to be totally revamped. Legoland has done a good job of keeping other rides and shows updated but this needs to be the next attraction to do focus on. If you go mid day you bake in the sun and it is really uncomfortable. When it come time for the water cannons to come out and kids can shoot at the Pirates, the actors literally hold the water cannons so they don't get too wet. It's kind of sad but it is what it is!
