I finally found a local shop in Charlestown that was reasonable and could get to it in 3 to 4 days. I was on my way to the shop to confirm them picking up my mower and turn around time. My route took me down hwy 403 right past Holmes Ace Hardware. I decided to stop in and talk to them since they sell Zero Turn mowers. I asked who they use for repairs and service. I was told they have their own shop on property and do their own repairs and service. I asked if they took walk in repairs. Yes they do. They gave me a reasonable estimate and said they would try to pick the mower up that same afternoon. I was beyond happy I had decided to stop in. Later that same afternoon they picked up my mower. Unbelievably the next afternoon they called me and said the mower was ready and they wanted to bring it back to me. WOW! Holmes repaired my mower within 24 hrs and for a reasonable price! I was ecstatic because my yard was needing cutting. Holmes will be my first call for any future repairs. I've already told two of my neighbors about Holmes mower repair.

Southern Indiana Equipment (SIE) is a large lawn equipment dealer. They currently have two…read morelocations, the original location in Lanesville IN and their newer location in Sellersburg IN. They not only sell lawn equipment, they also repair equipment. SIE's main business is selling and servicing Zero Turn lawn mowers as well as lawn tractors. SIE sells everything from residential mowers to big commercial mowers that can sell for several thousands of dollars. I had bought a zero turn mower from SIE 11 years ago at their original Lanesville location which was before they opened the Sellersburg store. After over 10 years of mowing grass, my zero turn frame broke. While I wasn't happy about what I thought was going to be a major repair, I understood mechanical things don't last forever. I have taken excellent care of my mower and had expected it to last at least a couple more years. I went to SIE to do two things, get an estimate for repairing my mower, and look at new mowers and prices. I spoke with Steve a repair mechanic, about my mower and the break. Steve said they'd seen this type of break before and he could fix it without too much trouble and cost. Steve gave me a rough estimate of what it would cost. I was pleasantly surprised that the repair cost wasn't as much as I was expecting. The only hang up is the shop is so busy, Steve said he might not be able to get to the repair for a week! Steve did promise he would get it fixed as soon as possible but he couldn't guarantee anything. I made arrangements to have them come pick up my mower and get in line to get my mower repaired. SIE picked up my mower 1st thing the next morning. Within 2 days Steve repaired my mower and for the very cost he estimated when we spoke. My mower was returned to me very quickly and I'm back to mowing with my old mower. Very happy with their repair cost and service. IF I decide to buy a new zero turn in the future, SIE will be the first people I check with. The ONLY reason I didn't give them 5 stars is nobody in the facility was/is wearing mask nor social distancing. This all happened prior to the latest guidance on mask wearing by CDC.

This morning, Drew from Honest and Fair Appliance arrived, as scheduled, and completed the repair in about 30 minutes. There was no drama or attempts to upsell for more services. Additional note for anyone who may need appliances. Bargain Supply has been our "go-to" place for appliances for many years. Since I was concerned the dryer mentioned above might not be repairable, I visited Bargain Supply on Saturday to look for a replacement. They pulled up my previous purchases and then helped me select a dryer they had in stock, should I have needed a new one immediately, knowing I was "just in case shopping". That's service!
