And it was a very big store with many different rooms. It seems that somehow they reduced the size of the building. In the past, they had a lot more in the way of unique gifts and country type items, antiques as well as cookies and candies. They still have some of those things, but it seems like it really it has been toned down quite a bit. I also remember in the past there was an old firehouse outside nearby, and I think they renovated it. And turned it into an empty building, which resembles the same building as the country store. My friend ended up buying a bar of lavender soap and I bought a couple of bags of netties kettle corn. The staff was friendly and helpful. We found the prices to be a little bit on the steep side.

Here's my take: over the past 10 years, small gift shop like Terrazza have disappeared, closed because of online shopping and specifically Amazon. I LOVE a great gift shop and love poking around enjoying the beautiful displays, and products you really only find in a store like this. I live in CT where most stores like this have shuttered so when both daughters moved nearby Franklin, finding this was the best surprise. Is it priced higher? Well it's a small business so that might be true. Is the staff "watchful"... I've experienced this and I don't take offense as they're protecting their investment. If they followed me the entire time, I'd never return as I don't like that but it's been subtle. The customer service comments I understand. And appreciate. Their return policy isn't particularly lenient but again it's a small business trying to survive in a world of internet shopping. However how many times do you buy something online on Etsy or amazon and it's not quite what you expected or wanted? ... there's nothing better than seeing the item in person, touching it and holding it. One reviewer's comment on the registers and gift wrapping....I'm sure if the owner (s) were aware of that, it wouldn't happen again . I just bought a beautiful bouquet of flowers from Zuzu's Petals. Jennifer helped me with my…read morepurchase. The flowers came arranged in a small, painted box. Jennifer noticed that a bit of paint had come off the box and onto the store shelf, so she put clear plastic around the bottom of the box and advised me to put something under it when placing it at home. She also replaced a couple of the lilies. They looked great, but Jennifer told me that after the lilies open, they do not last very long, so she replaced them with fresher ones. So nice! It's the little things. Five stars!!!
