What a nightmare. I went in to get a color change wrap done. I was going from a white car to a dark colored wrap. When I went to pick it up there were uneven cuts in the wrap, places where the wrap was sticking up loose, and many places where the underlying paint could be seen. There were exacto cutting marks in the back glass, polished chrome license plate holders had been scratched, and some of the trim on the roof had been torn. Colin agreed to remove the wrap and give me a refund. I was given back the car covered in adhesive which took a detail shop 2 full days' worth of work to try and get it off. Even then, there were still small spots in tight joining areas where there was still adhesive. Now that the wrap and glue was off, closer inspection revealed more damage - cutting marks in the windshield where it looked like it had been used as a cutting board, cuts on the door sill paint, cuts in the plastic on the inside of the doors, cuts into the chrome trim. Paint pulled off the back bumper, cuts into the paint on the roof. $7700 worth of damage. The only saving grace to this whole story is that Colin was a standup guy and worked with me to get this all fixed, he was very apologetic, and humble. He said it was impossible to get a paint-like colour change on a light-colored car to dark color wrap. However, I know it is possible but would take extra time, care and expertise. If I had been told this was "impossible" before the work was done I could have avoided this whole mess. While this has been fixed and I appreciate Colin working with me to get it sorted, I can't look past the subpar work and how this was a huge waste of my time, having to work with insurance, independent appraisers, detailers and body shops. read more
