The folks at the location on Blue Star are honest, informative and beyond professional. When you are in an accident it's tense and frustrating. Lisa at the front desk was amazing. She was personable and helpful in giving me all the details about the timing for the repairs, helping coordinate with the rental car company and keeping me informed. She eliminated any stress from the process and was beyond helpful. Preston, the adjuster was also sincere, helpful and informative. A part was lost on my bumper from a previous repair and I thought it was a warranty issue. He pointed out that someone had hit my car and showed me where the impact was. Not a great feeling, but I trusted his evaluation. Because they were going to have my car for a while. I asked them to take a look at the repairs that were done on my car at the Gerber location in IL; i noticed some potential issues. They found problems and made the necessary repairs all under the Gerber Warranty. While I hope not to have to return to Gerber anytime in the near (or distant future), I do know that when/if I have any other collision repairs this is the only place I'll go.

So I suggested he update his website so it doesn't allow someone to make them. He then got defensive so I hung up and started to make this review. Then I started getting texts and emails from him telling me to stay off his website. He then threatened to beat me up and was trying to schedule a meet up to fight at my work. After that he resorted to making fun of my name and calling names. It felt like I was back in high school again. He seems very unstable and I don't recommend you let this guy anywhere near your cars or house. I have the screenshots to prove it, but Google won't post my review with them for some reason.

I spoke with Kelly from Gerber while the car was being loaded on the tow truck. Kelly understood my concerns with being new to the area and promised to take care of my daughters car. Kelly went above and beyond with keeping me in the loop of the mounting damages found and dealt with my insurance company. Dawn was awesome in providing update texts twice a week. The car was completed a day early which made for a happy 18yo. Kelly and crew treated this as if it was their daughters car and I felt completely confident that the car would be returned in not only the same condition it was prior but probably better. I would highly recommend Gerber for their customer service, business practices, honest repairs and vehicle knowledge.
