Was very excited to not have to drive super far to get to some local hiking. This area very much reminded me of my hometown. I am only going to review one hike though as that is all i had the chance to enjoy of wasatch mountain state park. If I were in heber again i would love to go and explore this beauty more. Crows nest via huber grove via epperson is the hike we attempted to go on. https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/utah/crows-nest-via-huber-grove-to-epperson Its a 5.1 mile loop trail that starts at the parking lot next to the visitor center. It is rated moderate. so there are so many off shoots on this trail. We followed teh all trails map and it led us astray. We eventually found the finale crows nest loop but my teens were done at that point and we just headed back. The loop in all trails map also is longer than what is listed. There are not a lot of signs that say crows nest. We did find our way out easily enough. Trail is dry. Pretty area once you get up into the trees. It is nice that wasatch is not too far out of town so very accessible. If you do not have a utah state parks pass be sure to bring $10 cash or go to the website at teh parking lot and then you can pay for parking online

AMAZING EXPERIENCE…read more You check in right at the soldier hallow center. They show you how to fit and put on snow shoes and then the guide takes you on a short ~1/2 mile trip to the yurt. It's fairly reasonable even for folks who may be fearful they're deconditioned or not as active. There's as a guide at the front and rear so it can be an easy pace as long you let them know ahead of time. There's plenty of opportunities to take photos and they give a little history also. The guide were great and taking pictures too! Once you're at the top you're greeted by a large yet cozy yurt. It's warm and intimate despite several other groups being present. They did a short introduction and then we got the night started. There was plenty of hot coco, coffee, tea options. Also ingredients to make smores. The courses came at a great pace and we really got to enjoy ourselves. Soda or lime seltzer is also available as well as some limited beer options. There is access to portable bathrooms in case that's needed. Overall this was a beautiful experience perfect for a special occasion. I highly recommend this company and look forward to doing this again in the future.

We booked a horse drawn sleigh ride for a new Christmas experience…read more It was fabulous. They took us on a 30 minute horse drawn sleigh ride through a light show at Jordanelle State Park. I had to book really early they book up fast and it was a nice but not too cold night. They also do sleigh rides for the Ice Castles at Midway. Our horses names were Lock and load beautiful Perchons. So if you want to do something different book now for next Christmas you won't regret it.

The wildlife is amazing--bald eagles, hawks, cranes, and beaver ponds make this place feel really special. One thing that meant a lot to me was the kindness of the staff--they even helped shovel my vehicle out when I was injured. The park is quiet and peaceful at the end of the road, with gorgeous views, river walks, and a renowned fishing area right across the street. It's been a joy taking my dogs on hikes along the river every day. With affordable cabins as well, it's a wonderful spot for families, friends, and anyone wanting a peaceful getaway in the Park City / Heber area. Highly recommend.

Check in was quick and easy, sign a waiver and hop on a bus to take you to the top. Once there you will find the tubes and go down the river which can take 1.5-2 hours. Make sure to grab a paddle which will come in handy with the bushes and trees on the side. It's cold once you get it but it's fun and relaxing on a nice hot day!

I figured it wasn't meant to be. But then we took a drive to Heber, and I saw a big sign for High Country Adventure. Looked up their site, called to see what our options were. No problem! Book on the site! So we did. It was great. Checkin went fine. Getting life jackets went smooth. Loading on the bus and getting up to the drop off point was a breeze. Waited for our raft and guide to hail us, then we loaded up and headed down River. Nice and relaxing ride down. After the fact, I looked up reviews. I can imagine any of the poor reviews happening since all the staff seem young. Luckily for us, everyone was fine the day we went. (I've been to plenty of other places in the area that have terrible customer service from high school/young peeps, lol!) Our guide was fantastic. The rest of our group was with another guide that they raved about. I've floated the River years before when we rented tubes from BYU. It was such a pain to haul them to the river, have two people drive a car down river, and then everyone load up and drive up river. High Country Adventure makes it super easy and convenient to get to and on the River. Glad we found them! We've already recommended them to friends, and will be back!
