The bartenders were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made some of the best drinks I've had in a while. One cocktail was the Punchline which literally comes with a real joke or "punch line" attached. Such a fun and creative touch. Limited lunch menu so I just ordered the burger and fries...both were excellent. The burger was flavorful and cooked perfectly, and the fries were fresh and crispy made of real thick cut potatoes. The hotel itself is very nice and more upscale, looked like multiple weddings were happening at this time, and the location in Ybor is fantastic...perfect spot to relax and enjoy great food and drinks. They had a DJ after a certain time. Would definitely stop by again, even just for the bar.

And u had the chicken and waffles! So delicious Everyone loved their dishes and the size portion was just right! My other friends and I were staying at the Haya and I'm so glad I booked this brunch for us. Super chill urban like modern atmosphere. We also had drinks at the bar later. And all the bar tenders were great! Highly recommend this spot for brunch Oh and the Bloody Mary was great!

Copa's Latin American Cafe - Their fresh crab rolls are crispy on the outside, and LOADED with chunks of crab meat.

Copas is my favorite restaurant in all of Tampa, bar none! This little place has no visual appeal…read moreat all. With peeling exterior paint, and a spartan interior, this place draws a lot of it's clientele from the nearby port; sailors, burly dock workers wearing hard hats and sporting butt cracks, truck drivers, and local latinos "in the know" are the demographic. If you're looking for atmosphere, this ain't the place for you. But, if you're in search of the most scrumptious authentic Cuban food you ever shoveled in your yap, then your gastronomic odyssey through this wasteland of mediocre Latin fare is over. Read on my friend. This old school Cuban cafe serves up huge portions of the best homemade Latin cooking at decades ago pricing. Giant breakfast sandwiches for $2.99, hot pressed Cubans, roast pork with rice & black beans in massive quantities impossible to finish in one sitting, old fashioned cafe con leche, and most importantly, the very best fresh made crab rolls in ALL of Tampa. Way better crab rolls for far less money than those overpriced frozen footballs offered at other restaurants and food carts around Tampa. Copas is family owned and operated by a cheerful Latino lady and her college educated son, who thinks helping his mother is way more important than pursuing his own career. As long as Copas is around, I'll never darken the door of any other Latin joint in town. Only those who heed the call will understand.

I haven't eaten at Tropical Cuisine in awhile, and decided to do a take out…read more I visited on 7/7/25 and they were about to close. I didn't know they close at 6pm, so I was glad I was getting in and being able to get my food. Anyway, the employees are still the same and very friendly. I offered beef stew, pigeon and yellow rice, with a side order of potato salad. When I got to my destination, I was really impressed by the food looking the same. The big difference, and disappointment was the taste. The food wasn't good at all. What a disappointment!!! The meat was too salty, the rice was super hard, and I couldn't eat it. The potato salad was decent, but it had peas in it. I definitely don't eat sweet peas. So I ate around them. Trust me, the food was almost $18 and I gave a tip. I definitely won't be back. :-(

I placed an order for sancocho and Los tres golpes. To my surprise I received carrot and potato stew. Not an ounce of meat or anything CLOSE to a sancocho!!! Disappointed and upset! I wish I could get a refund because this is NOT what I asked for. Pictures below. The packaging of all the food is terrible as well. Leaks. Rice tastes old. I'm so disappointed I am not even eating this. Terrible and the last time I ever order here.

Had the homemade white sangria- very good. Cuban bread delicious. Split an order of empanadas- originally ordered the beef but they were out of that so we had the chicken- good. My husband had not been here before so he got a half and half of the Cuban sandwich and their 1905 salad and liked both. I got the Pollo Manchego and it was very good. My son's girlfriend got the Mahi-Mahi and enjoyed it. Only blemish was my son's meal. He ordered the Palomilla- steak was cold, burnt on the bottom. The server did replace it for him and the second one was better. My husband got the flan for dessert and liked it. I got the churros. They were not dusted with cinnamon sugar (as the description says) and they were out of the chocolate sauce so gave us 2 caramel sauce and 1 guava sauce. Overall it was good considering it was a very busy day for them and we went at 7pm. We will go again.
