It takes too long customer service to respond and when they did they gave me the runaroun. My issues are still unresolve.

The only I started service with WOW was it is the only cable company allowed in the apartment complex. I have been without service during different times during the year and a half that I was forced to use them. The last time was this week. I was told that there had been an outage and they had been bombarded with calls. I was without service for about a week intermittently. I called and my phone call was disconnected for two days. When I finally reached an "agent", first there was a language barrier. Secondly, I did everything that I was told to do, still no service for my TV in the bedroom. I had service on the TV in the living room, after doing everything I was instructed to do, I was put on hold and the TV in the living room stopped working. She continued to put me on hold to check different things. After one hour, she said that I needed a technician. The technician came and got my service to operate. I received a bill for $64.00. I challenged the charged because I did everything the agent told me do, and she lost the service on the TV in the living room, and the remote to the TV in the bedroom stopped working. I was told that half was a fair charge for the technician. I hung up on the "agent's supervisor" and I canceled my service that day. AMERICAN customer service was not shown to me. The agent made my situation worse, and I was told that I was responsible. Wrong Answer. I would give a -10 rating if possible. read more

This company's service is horrible. Avoid them at all costs! We've been customers for 2 weeks & the reliability is abysmal. Just today I had a phone call dropped twice in 2 minutes & finally had to turn off wifi to be able to have a reliable connection. We've lost connection while trying to watch TV 4 times in 7 minutes. I've never had such bad service. We're supposed to be getting 1GB download rates, so it's not like we're not paying for adequate service for a phone call & some TV time. we went to return our equipment after canceling our service due to laziness on the part of the provider, and the only location in our area has no customer service! No one was there to help us. No one would answer any phones that we called. So we stick our equipment in the dropbox out front and took pictures of everything just in case. Use someone else! read more

If you can get cable or internet with a different company then do so. This company is horrible for customer service the pricing sucks. You have to watch you bills every month as the try to add things to it or if you make changes they don't make the adjustment immediately you wave to wait till the billing cycle closes and then wait another 4 day before they can do anything. The have been trying to charge me for cable when I cancelled there cable service on December 3 and they still said I had it for the whole month when even when I turned in the cable boxes. During the Covid crisis things have to change. One of the things that have changed is the move from in person schools to zoom class rooms. If you cannot provide reliable internet service and my children are constantly absent because you can't keep your end of the contract, then it appears to me there may be a big problem for the company. read more

Pretty angry right now. We've had internet for less than a month & have had problems. We live on a military base. When the internet was originally installed, the cable crossed my back yard as well as the neighbors and the technician just left it laying in the yard. We also have a dog that's been chewing on the cable. We've called 3 times asking someone to come bury the cable and no one has done it yet. This morning we wake up with no internet because the contracted mowers on base ran over the cable with the mower. Now we have no eta on when well have internet again except before "9pm" tonight. We're in the military and can't just take a random day off waiting just because you guys can't do your job and bury it like you said you would. It's been 3 weeks & someone is coming out to fix the internet but what happens if next week the lawn mower guy runs over the cable again? Just keep getting internet problems? We also have a dog who loves being in the back yard. I refuse to constantly watch the cable as I have better things to do with my time like WORK. I tried this company out for a few months for internet. The speed was not as advertised, granted I knew I wasn't getting the fastest package offered. I still anticipated it to allow me to play my online video games without kicking me out for lag... luckily the internet didn't do it that often. Going back to Spectrum since their internet and equipment could meet my needs. The reason I'm giving an even lower score is due to the false advertising of business hours. I called the number given for WOW and after ten different prompts finally got a live person I could ask about business hours. I was informed the branch on eastern Blvd was open on Saturdays from 8am- 8pm... I saw online it's closed. I live thirty minutes away and work usually 6 days a week for ten to twelve hours. This day I got off work early so I decided to try and return the modem to avoid being charged for it. Closed. Dropping off the modem for ending my contract with the company has NEVER been this difficult with Spectrum or even BellSouth back in the day... read more

We have had WOW/Knology since 1998. Our loyalty is based on avoiding Charter. However, now going to Charter. Since moving to new home in East Montgomery, we have had continual problems with spotty internet and cable. I have always been able to get a representative on the phone without the menu issues of charter and always able to get a repair person here within 24-36 hours. However, the problem is never fixed or only fixed for a few days. This summer, we had extensive outages for days at a time, for more than 12 hours a day. We are told that our tv service only pixelates at peak times (4-12midnight) so that should be ok. Not ok to not be able to watch TV in the evenings. WE ARE DONE!!!!! read more

For well over a year now i have had issues with WOW!..... I am a residential customer with a business account for server operation. It all started in May 2014 when a door to door sales came by to sale me on the WOW! experience. having had issues with another ISP i was open to change. He completed his sales pitch and I was about to sign up but needed to verify a few things. Will i be able to get an assigned static IP address and are certain ports open on the WOW network i.e. 25. 442. 3389. 3398 etc.... he emphatically expressed absolutely everything I needed was available. so I was sold and signed up dropping the other ISP. And that is where the issues began. Upon the tech coming to install my new services i asked about my static IP and to verify the ports being opened and he informed me that residential customers do not get static IP's and those ports are only open on business accounts. i explained to him that i was sold those as a condition of me purchasing from WOW!. he instructed me to call customer service. The end result was i and to purchase a business account for $115.00 more a month that the account I originally signed up for. From Jan 3 2015 - 25 May 2015 while paying $140+ for a 30 Mbps package I was losing 67.8% of my package meaning out of the 30Mbps I was paying for I was getting 9.7 Mbps. From 5 May 2015 - 16 June 2015 while paying $154+ for a 60 Mbps package i was losing 64% of my package meaning out of the 60 Mbps I was paying for I was getting 21.6 Mbps. So i kept a detailed record and called customer service, they graciously credited my account $800+ for the issues which gave me an $800+ credit and i wouldn't have to pay for service for 5+ months. However my very next billing cycle my bill went from $154.00 to $257.00 with no explanation I kept having speed issues and they even started charging my debit card 3 months later. It is June 2016 and a WOW tech came to check out my continued bandwidth issue and they are going to put my modem in observance mode again. So looking back over this time frame i have been riddled with several causes (excuses) as to why i may have speed issues. 1. Your router is bad 2. There is a server in your neighborhood using all the bandwidth 3. Your router is bad 4. The lines in your house are bad 5. Your router is bad 6. The line have noise on them 7. Your router is bad 8. You are over using the network ( 450+ GB ) used in 30 days = 15 GB a day 9. Your server is causing the the bandwidth drop So I have spent $1000's in routers , time off work and for internet speeds. 1st Router = D-Link DIR 857 (HD Media Router 3000) $149.99 on sale 2nd Router = Linksys EA6400 AC1600 Dual-Band Smart Wi-Fi Router Replaced (9 Dec 2014 $149.99) 3rd Router = Linksys EA6350 AC1200+ Dual-Band Smart Wi-Fi Wireless Router replaced (10 June 2015 $129.99) 15+ days of leave (vacation time) from work @ $170.00+ a day. that i will not get back But you can bet your bottom dollar that they aren't going to accept a percentage of the payment its either all or nothing and your service is disconnected currently my download speed averages around 18.3 Mbps less that 33% of the service i am paying for so do i pay less than 33% of my bill? Don't get me wrong i understand there is going to be a 10%-15% loss of bandwidth during peak hours which translates to 6 Mbps - 9 Mbps and even at a 20% loss its on 12Mbps which should leave 48 Mbps. to put it in perspective an HD movie streaming via Netflix uses approximately 5 Mbps. so it 5 people are watching nextflix in HD thats 25 Mbps which should leave 35 Mbps for other network operations. read more

I told the rep I spoke with that the rate was not much less than what I was paying but I would discuss with my husband and call back if we decided to go with it. WOW is not responsive and is prone to billing errors that they will not fix without a fight. Strongly advise you to review all your bills carefully and watch for errors & unexplained price increases. I dropped this service and as a final insult they tacked on a $20 late fee due to their own inability to provide a balance due at account closing. User beware. read more

Worst internet and cable service ever. It's a shame they have such a lock on the Montgomery area and contracts with a majority of apartment complexes here. Whenever you call customer service expect it to take at least 15 minutes for them to give you an answer or solve your issue. The technician was 3 hours late and tracked mud all over my house. I went down to the main office and they told me they no longer offered a service I wanted, ok fine. I called customer service and they told me they did offer that and they didn't know why the main office told me that they didn't. It's very frustrating when none of the employees are on the same page. The sound goes out constantly, the wireless router they provided stops working every 12 hours and has to be reset, the equipment looks like it hasn't been upgraded since 2005, the layout of the guide is stupid, and the channels are all mixed up. Why wouldn't you have all the sports together, cartoons, and then news channels all side by side? You have cnn here next to spongebob next to ESPN. Stupid design. The bill changes every month for no reason, I have the same package I've had since day one but the price fluctuates every month. No one can ever give me an answer as to why. I would rather have dial up and a big antenna behind my house than deal with this crap. read more
