Sent in my PS5 to them for a system software error. They told me that is was the HDMI port because they saw stuttering. So all they did was replace the port and I paid $175 total. When I received the console back and started it up. It is continuing to experience the exact same errors I sent it in to be fixed. Instead of owning their mistake they are saying to mail it back in and they will probably tell me it will be a couple more hundred to fix the initial issue I sent it in for. They have lost my trust on the reliability of their diagnosis and repair. I understand it is a business and they need to make money, but based on the other low rated reviews and how the Owner is responding. The customer is not the focus of their service. Below is what they replied after I posted on google. They want me to send it back but I will never trust them with my devices ever again. "We appreciate your feedback and would like to clarify a few important points regarding your repair and our process. Your total payment of $175 included the $130 repair cost and $45 return shipping. We have been in business for over 10 years and have successfully repaired 100,000+ devices, including 10,000+ consoles from customers in all 50 states. We work with the military, police stations across Alabama, and perform B2B repairs for other repair stores in the country. We are one of the FEW independent repair labs with the equipment and expertise to perform complex board-level repairs on console systems. When your console arrived through our free one-way mail-in program, it went through our standard intake procedure: Two rounds of pre-repair testing During these tests, your HDMI port failed, your system showed a corrupted database, and the cooling paste was dried out from regular usage and age. Techician Kia is a most definite asset to your organization. She is very tech savy and highly professional. I have taken my phone to her previously, more than once, and she was always there cheerfully, willing to help with the right fix and in minimum time. It's very obvious that she "knows her stuff" She makes the customer feel that they are very important. Don't see that much these days. I came home from a long and difficult business trip. The screen on my cell phone went blank. It was my fault, I got some water on it. Got home at 3:30, took it in at 4:00 pm.... by 5:30, they called back and had it all fixed! At a great price!!!! I have bought several phones from them. They all work great. read more

This place broke my iPad charging port lol. They refunded me but I brought my iPad screen to be fixed and they broke something else. Smh. And there was so much confusion and back and forth. It got on my nerves how different people lied to me about the status of my iPad. I'm glad they refunded me but now I have to go out and buy a brand new iPad. Really annoying and would've recommend them because they have some integrity and organizational issues that they need to work on forreal! I took my son's iPhone in because his screen was cracked, they replaced the screen for $151.00 and a week later the screen goes completely black for no reason, no damage to the device or the screen, it just went completely black. Called them and they say it probably just needed to be resealed but when I get there it needs a new screen and there's no warranty so I need to pay $151.00 again but the repair was only a week ago and obviously wasn't done correctly if I had to bring the device back to them for something that they did wrong. The manager has a very rude tone and (the guy not the girl) is very unprofessional. Honestly, I feel like I got scammed and I think they do that so you'll come back to spend more money.. I won't be going back and I will definitely be telling everyone I know about this place of bad business read more

Both items I had repaired came back with new issues. Had a battery changed on my phone and the screen came back messed up. My IPad no longer recognizes my thumb print after a battery swap. They offered $20 discount and said sorry. Not good...... read more

My experience was amazing. Service took less than an hour and staff had great customer service.

My laptop hinges were loose. The screen was slightly cracked but I could see fine on it. I searched through reviews and decided on XiRepair. They told me I would need a new screen and hinges. I paid half the same day and they told me when the part came in I could drop it off and bring the other half of payment. They said it would take two weeks and gave the latest day it would be but said it could possibly be sooner. The latest day came and I gave it three more days before I went there. Ray said that the order showed it would be coming in that night. He gave me a quick rundown of their process as to assure me they were on it. He then told his coworker "No you were right, it says between these days." The last day in this range just happened to be on this day I came in the store. I told him I wasn't told this range. But I didn't make a deal about it but just asked him how long would it take once they got the part. He said about 30 minutes. I waited that day and didn't hear anything. The next day they contacted me around noon and said the part was there. I took my laptop and dropped off around 1pm. I was waiting until they closed at 6 p.m. I never heard anything back even though I was told it would be a 30 minute repair. The day after at around 1 pm I finally contacted them. I was told they were running a little behind but were getting on it. Once again I didn't get a call back until maybe 3 hours later after 4 p.m. when I was told it was a problem. Ray told me the screen was the wrong one. At this point I just told him I would come by and get it and just give me my refund back. When I got there and they brought my computer out, now the front screen was loosened from the back to the point it was slipping off. Of course I was shocked because even though it needed repair, it was not slipping off before. Before I basically just had to prop something behind it and it would stay up. But the screen wasn't detaching and it wasn't busted up. He said when I called and said "put the screen back on", they had to take the screws back out so that's why it was like that. I informed him I never said that. I didn't know they took the screen off. He then tried to debate that's what I meant because I had to know they had to try the screen on to know it didn't fit. I countered that "no, if you are saying you'll ordered the right part then it would be logical to me that the part came in and you saw it was the wrong part; not that you had to try it on to see". It made no sense to me because if it was the wrong part and they put it on, they still had to take it back off anyway. So me saying I wanted a refund didn't affect them having to take it back off as he was suggesting. Either way they created a condition that wasn't there before. All he could say was it's just the nature of the business and that it wasn't their fault. But he said they knew the part to order now. It didn't make sense to me. I asked if wasn't their fault and they ordered the right part before how can they guarantee it won't be the right order and wrong part again? He didn't have an answer. He did say they didn't do a good job of communication. He said they can order again. But then all of a sudden said "well when you told me you wanted a refund then I cancelled the order so I don't know if I can get it". It seemed like he was just saying anything at this point. I was thinking about doing it but asked what they were going to knock off. He said the best they could do was $20 dollars. The total repair was around $380 total and this is what he offered. I told him that was not going to work. He then agreed that my case was a rare one. But I said if it's rare then why not offer something better than that. He then jokingly asks "What do you want it for free?". I didn't appreciate that because I didn't haggle with them when they told me the initial price. I gave them half up front. I told him a good business-man would scratch the labor cost knowing the kind of experience I've had. I said isn't a good review worth that. But I didn't even ask for that. I said knock $80 off. He gets on computer and says he's trying to put it through the system but then says someone is overriding him and best he can do is around $50. I didn't believe him and just decided to leave. He didn't seem to care or say sorry for the inconvenience. I'm not saying he was rude. He was just a salesman that cared more about making the sale than customer service. When I came in he didn't mention anything about a specific part and the potential for a wrong order. He sounded totally confident and was ready and willing to take my money. I'm not saying the company is bad company. They seem to have nice reviews and I saw others coming in and out that seemed satisfied. But that wasn't my experience. Highly recommend for repair and help of your electronic devices. My son was having an issue with his X Box and within one day, they had us up and running. They diagnosed an issue with the hdmi cable (even though we had tried two) and once we got a new cable problem was solved. Very professional, great customer service, and very friendly. Just moved full-time into my RV and the second of two of my laptop's charging ports stopped working. The first port died last year and Best Buy said they would have to send it out for at least two weeks to diagnose and then either fix or replace the computer. I couldn't be without so I've been using the second port. This time, traveling in GA, Best Buy again couldn't do anything without a sendout but referred me to a local franchise. They could order the part and fix it, but it would take several days and I was moving on to Montgomery. Called the same franchise there and was told they could order the part and fix it--probably 5 business days for the part and another 2 for the fix. Brought it in, waited for an hour while they looked at it, and then was told they didn't have a technician on staff who could solder and it would be a sendout. Found Xi Repair and was told confidently that they had the technicians, can usually get parts in 2 or 3 days, and could fix it on site as soon as the part came in. Only one of the two port replacements was available--but ordered Thursday, came in Monday, and fixed by Monday evening. They found multiple problems with the first port and called to explain this along the way, checking to see if I wanted to invest in that expensive fix, although they advised not to. They also cautioned that the second port might not be fixable after all, but they were still looking at it and would keep me posted. An hour later, they succeeded! For now, I have one working port again, thanks to the experts at XiRepair. They also agreed to write up their diagnosis and review process, which I hope to bring back to Best Buy, maybe to avoid a lengthy sendout for yet another diagnosis before agreeing to replace the laptop on my service plan. That review will be determined later. But Five Stars for XiRepair and their reassuring, friendly, and professional technicians. read more
