As a classic Libra lady I'd been thinking about threading for aprx 1 year now and finally decided it was time to do so. I mean, why rush something? haha. I had a positive experience at this place and I have high expectations. The aesthetics of the place are awesome. It's bright, light, clean and has a friendly vibe. I believe there were just 3 stations/chairs but it certainly felt spacious when I was in there. As soon as I walked in Jing ran over to me and was super friendly! I was a bit hesitant to just hop in the chair since this was my first threading and she was a tad pushy but in the end I was pleased with the results. I prefer to talk about what's going down first and there wasn't much of a consultation, which is why I deducted 1 star. It's an interesting process and while it was more painful than waxing, I preferred the results. I was scared when it felt like she was taking too much off so I stopped her and she got me a mirror to see that all was well...I was just super furry! lol. She had a pleasant demeanor and was a hard worker. She offered to do my 'stach after which I wasn't there for and felt kinda awkward about bc I didn't think I "needed" it, but hey, she's in the business, she has an eye for it. Anywho, it was $15 for the service and I signed up for the email club where you get emails about specials. Jing also gave me a card where if you get threaded 10x you get the next one for free, which I appreciate. I was sore for aprx 2 days after it, but I have been uber pleased with how they look. The only other place in the country that did my brows as I loved was back in Boston and I'm happy I finally found a place close to me that gives me the look I like. I had to update my review. The only good eyebrow tech is Jing. If she isn't there I would not suggest going. The downside is the LONG wait and I was told by the owner in response to my review that it was because of that to which he said I could make an appointment. Really? After the owner contacted me, I decided to try again & saw Angela. Thanks to Angela, I had a great experience. I definitely will go again, but will only request her. I went on a Sunday this time & waited 20 minutes, so I recommend not going on a weekend or being very patient. I am always on the lookout for a good brow threading salon ever since a terrible waxing experience in college left me with red burn marks above my eyes for two weeks (think surprised clown expression)! So I was very pleased when Wow Brows opened in Sronecrest. There are several different stylists there, all eager to help and all very talented. They are also very sweet and appreciate loyal customers--you'll get a punch card for a free visit after 10 eyebrow threadings which is nice. I definitely recommend them whether you need someone to shape your brows for the first time, or just a good cleanup. read more

I like this place well enough. I go to Wow Brows in between times to "clean" the brow line shaping job done by the eyebrow genius at Celebrity Brows in between visits there. The ladies at WB are quick and do a pretty good job at cleaning up my brows. Just be careful they focus on getting both brows to an equal thickness. The prices are pretty good and they are convenient. I like being able to walk-in and never have had to wait long. The only other downside is that the stylists speak their native language to each other and I think it's a bit rude. You get the impression they are talking and laughing about the patrons. I love this place! Every time I'm in Charlotte area I try to come here. I have never had to wait more than a few minutes and the ladies always do a great job. I was in and out in 10 to 15 minutes! I told them I like my eyebrows thicker and that is exactly what they did. They gave me a nice arch, but not too much. It is well worth the 12$ for someone to shape my eyebrows (because I can't do it nearly as good as they do). It does hurt a bit, but not any more than waxing. Anyone that complains about it hurting is clearly living on another planet- of course it is going to hurt a little bit, it's not like you are getting a massage! Prices are good, brows were pretty good. A little uneven, but not to bad. This is one of the better places in Charlotte.

This is the only place I've been to since I've moved to Charlotte (a little over a year ago) and I will never stray. They are always nice and patient (I've had scratches from other people who were rough in the past). I have very thick eyebrows and ANGELA always takes care of me! Ouch! Made the mistake of attempting to see someone other than Bimala( she wasn't there today) and after the longest most painful 10 minutes of my eyebrow threading life and two very mismatch not even close to looking like the right and left eyebrow belong on the same person later, I had to leave after wasting $12 . During the service I asked if she would remove the hair a bit quicker as it felt as though I was living a slowmo instant replay. She agreed but then it seemed like she proceeded even slower(if that were possible). As someone who has routinely threaded and rarely experience pain when it's done efficiently, this was unacceptable. The technician could see I was uncomfortable and proceeded to inflict her slow motion torture. When she gave me the mirror to look I told her I thought they were uneven and didn't appear to be cleaned at the top and she said they were fine but offered to take of more if I wanted. In slow mo and so you can butcher my other brow t match the other that was destroyed? No thanks! On top of all of that, I didn't even get credit for the hack job. The iPad was down so I could sign in and when I inquired, she said it wasn't working, didn't offer a receipt to get credit on my next visit(which won't likely happen if Bimala isn't there) or anything. My daughter and I have been going to Wow Brows since they were at Carolina Place Mall. I love getting my brows done by Angela. She is absolutely the best and does a great job. I don't go get my eye brows done anywhere else! Price are reasonable and they do a good job. read more

I don't like threading, it hurts more than waxing but it lasts longer so I do it grinding my teeth. I've been there 3 times and loved the results each time. They are open 9a-9p which is really helpful when you are very busy. I would recommend it. read more

This place is terrible. I will not be going back here. The second I sat down the woman that did my eyebrows came over to me and insulted me by telling me one eyebrow is higher than the other. I told her I wanted a small arch in my eyebrows. She gave my eyebrows 2 completely different shapes. When I told her this she told me no it is because one eyebrow is higher than the other. Ok, I got that. Just because one eyebrow is higher than the other doesn't mean it has to have a different shape. I told her she needs to fix them and she tried to fix the wrong eyebrow and in the process she made my other eyebrow so thin and it still is not the same shape. I have very thin eyebrows that do not grow that fast and she completely ruined them. This is also not the first time this happened. The last time I came here a different woman gave me 2 different shapes, but at least she fixed it before I left. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU CARE WHAT YOUR BROWS LOOK LIKE! read more

I tried this for the first time after seeing it in several malls. I didn't mind the pain which isn't near as bad as I had imagined. An older women helped me, she did a good job but talked extremely loud the entire time in what I assume was Chinese or Korean. I usually don't mind but sometimes I get the feeling I'm being talked about. Maybe I'm paranoid but still she should have paid more attention to me and less to her own conversation. read more

Walked in...walked out. First time since they moved from the mall and had a coupon...did not realize it had expired. So I asked if they gave discounts if I were to get brow, lip and chin done. Are you ready for the response......they told me, "NO". I smiled and said, "you are kidding, right?", "NO", they responded, "the rent is much higher here". Watch out for misleading text discounts! I have opted for threading as opposed to waxing because I often broke out after my brows were waxed. That being said, I have been getting my brows threaded for quite some time and usually am very happy with the outcome. Wow brows will send out text discounts to customers to get you to come back for a service. Nice idea, however, the staff becomes miffed when you present the coupon and will tell you it is not valid. They waited to tell me the discount was not valid until after they preformed the service! I had a successful visit as well. I went on 5/21 and was greeted when I walked in. I didn't have to wait, because I was the only patron at the time. Mei did my brows as well. She did an excellent job. I told her about about a bad experience I had once before with getting them threaded and had went back to waxing. She changed that for me and I will be returning in two weeks. She also did my upper lip. It was a great experience for half price - I had bought a Groupon for $7.00 a few weeks back to try them out. I don't mind paying full price now. When I go back, I will let Mei do my brows again. It doesn't hurt either that they are within 5 minutes from my house. read more

I am a repeat customer and I always have a good experience here. My brow stylist is Sue and she really knows what she is doing. She shapes my full brows beautifully and is gentle and considerate. She always smells nice. She does just as I describe. I also have my upper lip threaded here and I am rarely red for long and I find it less painful than waxing since I have done it so long. I've now been to Wow Brows at Stonecrest four times and have been pleased each time. I'm no longer going to have waxing done to my brows and upper lip because it tends to make me break out in acne. This threading technique did not hurt as bad as I anticipated and the fact that I don't break out is what makes me give this a five star rating. The customer service is excellent and they are always cheerful and kind when I'm there. The fact they are very respectful even prompted me to take my teenage niece there as well and she had an excellent experience! I will be a loyal customer from here on. read more

I had follow them from their kiosk in the mall to Stonecrest. Everyone in there are friendly and know what they're doing. I can always trust them to clean up my eye brows after the girl offer to shape them for the first time in the mall. For those reviews that have written on here, You might have just went to one threader that wasn't that experienced, but from what I can tell, the customers really like the end result, or else the business wouldn't still be here if it wasn't for their good quality of work. read more

I would highly recommend Wow Brows! I originally heard about Wow Brows thorough Groupon and have been going back ever since. The Salon is bright, everything is new, and immaculate! The Lady's are very sweet and friendly, and the experience is great! The Lady's shape my brows wonderfully and I have them do my upper lip as well. Threading compared to waxing is a little bit more painful, but threading is so much more precis and a lot cleaner, defiantly worth the pain! I have a little punch card so after my 10th treading, I get one free! I will continue going to Wow Brow's and would recommend to anyone. read more

Over all I think they did an excellent job. I have been threading for 10 years since living in New York. However, their prices are VERY high and the do not offer discounts for multi areas. Also if it had not been the end of the night, I think they would have pressured me into getting full face--I had to stop them twice from going up my jawline. The last time I was in Wow Brows was the middle of August and I had a good experience. My brows have grown out over the past month so I went in again. There was a tall, slender lady who waited on me and she was very gentle and did a wonderful job again. I went there yesterday for my first threading experience. I was a bit nervous and told Sue that it was my first time. She was great...took her time especially on the deep rooted brow hairs, which hurt, but no more than waxing or plucking. The upper thin brow hairs were a piece of cake! She asked me if I wanted my upper lip done too. I didn't really think I needed it, but I went ahead anyway. Which was $8. I liked the threading experience and feel that it is more precise than waxing. I will go back even though it is quite a drive. I think Sue did a great job. I, like the other reviewer, joined here just to write the review to hopefully prevent someone else from the same horrible situation! I went for brows only, she said I should get my upper lip done (which I've never done or had an issue with...said my make up would look better!). Then she said my chin and cheeks should be done. Like a fool, I let her do it. Not only did I think I was going to die from the pain this woman was inflicting on me, I assumed she knew what she was doing. I left there with ridiculously tiny eyebrows and horrible breakout all over! Here is the real kicker...I had race track kind of lines where they barely even got any hair off! Looked like stripes! Could only see this when I put powder on because powder stuck to hair. Had to get face waxed then! More irritation, pain. Went to my facial lady for help. I looked like a monster from the threading breakout! She said they must have used dirty threads. It's been 13 days and the break outs are still there. I take very good care of my skin and it's recovering, but so slowly. Very embarrassing. I'm sure there will be scarring, as well. read more

It takes a lot for me to come online and leave a review. I have been getting my eyebrows threaded for years and I have never experienced such an inexperienced threader, she should have NOT been doing people's eyebrows. Sign 1-it took a really, really long time. Sign 2-instead of smoothly pulling the threading across to pull all the hairs, she was yanking them out two at a time. It was incredibly painful and it has left scabs across my eyebrows. Normally, with an experienced threader, my skin just tingles for a bit. It is the morning after and the skin on my eyebrows still throbs. It was such a bad experience-I declined being entered into a drawing to come back for free because I will never go back or send anyone there. The brow place at Southpark and Northlakes mall is phenomenal and has skilled threaders. There is also another place close to NODA that I have had a great experience with and they have experienced threaders. I wrote this to save anyone who is thinking of trying threading for the first time the disappointment of having a bad experience here when you can go to other numerous places in the city. I am giving 4 stars just because of the sweet lady they have in the store i am not sure what's her is but i guess she is from India. One day i decided to go get my eyebrows done with my sister since she always gets her threaded for a long so as I went to get my brows done i did not have to wait or any thing and the lady named Jing helped me i pretty much liked my brows and just waiting on my sister to get finish with her's by and indian lady okay so finally we both got our brows threaded and the indian lady took us to the front desk to check out my sister said she wanted to get the brow powder the one the indian lady put on her brows to look filled in so the lady said alright the powder is 15 $ and your brow service is 12$ as she just told us Jing just said out really loud that hey today this powder is only for 12$ 3$ off due to holidays and all we got happy and we told the Indian last to go ahead and charge from our card the service charge and the powder charge she said okay since my manager said the powder is for 12$ you total becomes 24$ once she told us that Jing just reacted so weird and said hey girl who told you its 12$ don't you know its 15$ Like seriously got very mad but didn't say anything the indian lady was way too nice she said sorry i apologize even though me and my sister know it was not her fault at all Jing was first one who said in front of every one that today its only for 12$ . I am sorry but the owner seriously needs to take some action about how there employees deal in front of clients honesty speaking the indian lady was very nice even it was not her fault but she kept saying we are sorry . I mean all i am trying to say that some of ladies need to make sure what they are saying before they actually speak it out loud . I will just go back to the place when the older indian lady is there she is the best I love the way she greets with the clients. read more
