I have been a customer at Wow Brows since 2019. Lisa used to be an excellent provider, but she is no longer there. Recently, Yifan has been doing my eyebrows. Today, I went in for eyebrow, upper lip, and forehead threading. Unfortunately, she shaped one of my eyebrows very poorly. I've attached a photo for reference so you can better understand the issue. She removed far too much hair, and my eyebrow now looks uneven and unacceptable. When I raised my concern, she simply said, "It's okay, it will grow back soon," without showing any concern or accountability. I paid $32 for these services, and this experience was extremely disappointing. Based on this, I question the professionalism of the staff. I am also unsure who the owner is, but I would like this issue to be addressed. This was a very bad experience for me. read more

I have always had good service here. The reason I have three stars is because the hours posted online do not match the hours they are actually open and closed. There have been two separate occasions where I will drive to go and get my eyebrows done only for them to be closed. It's very frustrating. It says online that they are open till 9 I went the other night at 8 and it was closed. If they have changed their hours of operation they need to update it on their website. read more

DO NOT GET LASH EXTENSIONS DONE HERE. I have need going to WOW brows for a few years to get my eyebrows threaded. Last Saturday, while getting my brows done, I asked if they did lashes. The reply was yes and I made an appointment to come back later that day. The cost including tip was $158. I was told that in about 3 - 4 weeks to come back for a fill and I got the price for that. Well today, just a week later, on one eye, the lashes are very thinned. On the right side have lost some as well. So I went back today and showed the issue (after waiting 45 mins for the person that did the job) and was asked 'if I washed?' Of course I washed my face but took special care around lashes. I was then told I would be charged ANOTHER $40 to fill in the left side?! More money for them to fall out again? This is not normal for lashes. Because I look crazy right now I asked for them to just be removed. Well that was cheaper -$35! The ''manager' was consulted on this (mind you only 4 of them in there but all of a sudden there is a management structure. And when I first came in with my complaint there was no manager that talked to m about the issue. Well my business did not matter because o left with no remedy but to invest more money into a substandard job. So you have been warned. I went in to have my brows shaped up and decided to have some other facial hair threaded while I was at it. I arrived between 6-6:30 pm on a Friday night & did not have a wait. However, the lady who initally was working on me had another customer come in, so she left me sitting there after finishing one brow so she could take the other customer. She sent another employee over to finish my service. I don't know if the other customer had made an appointment specifically with her, but even if that was the case, she should not have taken me first knowing she had someone else booked & wouldn't have time to finish before her appt arrived. I thought it was unprofessional for her to "hand me off" to someone else after doing one of my brows. However, the lady that finished my brows & other facial hair did a good job. So overall I was happy with the results of my threading. Since I was leaving the next day for an 8 day cruise, I also needed a bikini wax and decided to just have it done there rather than leaving to go to another place. I think this was a mistake. They had two stations in the back that were set up for waxing. However, one was taken with another customer and the other station had some problem so they were unable to take me there. They ended up taking me to the storage room (!!!) where they had a table set up. It was fine because it gave plenty of privacy for my bikini wax.. however, there was 1 major problem. .. no where to plug in the wax. They heated it in another room & brought it back there to use. Not good because the temp was not right when they were trying to apply the wax. Results came out ok because the woman doing the wax threaded to finish but it was overall not a good waxing experience. This review is due to my experience waxing, not threading. I have always had a great experience with my eyebrows every time I've gone there. Yesterday was no different. This review is based on my waxing. I usually wax my chin at home, but decided to give them a try (threading my chin breaks me out). It started out ok, but quickly turned very painful and she was so rough. She must have waxed over the some areas four times as rough as she could. I would have said something, but my skin hadn't reacted to it yet. 2 hours later, I get home and the area around my lower lip is bright red and raw. You could even see where she had waxed away some layers of my lower lip. Never again. Someone that cares and was professionally trained would have never made these mistakes. Now it's been 24 hours and it's even worse. I hope I don't have scars from this. read more

So very disappointed. Do not go to this place. They ruined my eyebrows. I requested a clean up and they proceeded to make them way too thin...and uneven! When I questioned why my brows were made so thin, I was treated very disrespectfully and told to just fill them in with powder. I can not fix their mistakes with powder, nor should I have to. Moved to Charlotte from northern VA and was in desperate need to find another thread salon. I had a great one in Old Town Alexandria and was hopeful I would find one near me. I don't know on what type of threading is going on here but it is wrong. Some type of revised method..I guess. The string is tied to their necks, there is no head movement almost everyone is wearing a face mask and gloves! Are you gonna catch something?? So I get past how "different" things are and ask for clean up of my brows and chin. I am asked if I want my upper lip done. If she actually paid attention to my face she would have seen there was no hair there.. so we get started and it take way to long to clean my brows. The thread feels too thick and it keeps breaking. She finally finishes and moves on to my chin. Ugh! I am use to this area being a challenge because it is is hard to see all the hair. She did a good job trying to make sure she threaded everything but it hurt because of the thread. The method I am use to has more pulling movement so it is cleaner, straighter and faster! I come a second time because the location is close to me and maybe I will get use to the method. Second time even worst. I got a different lady. She didn't have the whole mask thing going one which was good but she did a terrible job. She asked me the same question about upper lip after I already told her what I needed done, clean up and chin. Once again it took longer to just clean up my brows and she used the scissors too much. After all that my brows weren't even that clean. She had to do them again, which is ridiculous. She did a terrible job on my chin claiming that I had in grown hair, which I didn't. She also started threading my bottom lip which I had to stop her and she kept asking about my neck. Lady just do my eyebrows and chin and do that well first.. So basically a third time won't happen.. I only gave two stars because the salon is clean and parking is easy. read more

Sorry not wowed at all. I was left in my chair for 8 minutes while she started my brows and then went in the back. She didn't tell me what was going on. There were others that could have taken care of me. Super rude! Then, she took way too much off....even part of the tail end of my brow that I now need to fill in. Not impressed;(. I'm paying a premium for threading and I don't get undivided attention during that time.....umm no thank u. No wonder why my brows are messed up. I would not recommend this place. I went to get my eyelashes tinted, and while the ladies were nice, they constantly pressured my friend and I to purchase other services that we did not want to do. I was told that it would only take "a few minutes" to get my lashes done but I was in there for almost an hour. The worst part is that the lady who did my lashes got the dye all underneath my eye. She assured me it would wash off but soon after leaving I discovered otherwise. I've tried everything, and I can't get rid of the dark smudges underneath my eyes. Please do not get your lashes tinted at this place. It was not a good experience , and now my skin is dyed for who knows how long. read more

Terrible. I am signing up for a Yelp account solely to post this since I feel it is the only way to help someone else in the tragic loss of my eyebrows! I told the woman working that I wanted my brows left a little thicker... I have been to waxing and threading salons before, and I always tell them to keep them full, I have modeled in the past, I am aware of what make up artists and current trends are... my brows were a good size and shape for my face. I just needed a few strays cleaned up. WELL... the woman began threading my eyebrows after she nodded in agreement to me stating over an over to "leave them thicker"... I could tell she was going overboard on the right one so I asked to see it... it nearly brought me to tears. I told her it was WAY too thin, and to please leave the left one fuller, I could color in the right and let it grow back, figure something out. She insisted that they be even, I insisted that they not! Finally I let her do my left brow.... and I guess the customer is never right... I paid and tipped her and left. I got to my car and attempted to use my brow power, however had no brow for it to latch on to... Luckily there was a target and I ran in for a brow pencil. now to wait forever for them to grow back. read more

Would I let them mangle my eyebrows again? No. Should you give them a chance? Perhaps, but you've been warned. The first time I came my brows/tint came out great, this time my brows look HORRIBLE. I don't understand why there are so many bad reviews. I go to college in California but I am now home for summer... I had no idea where to go for threading so I went to South Park Mall's brow bar 3 times... but WOW brows has blown me away. I was hesitant because of the mediocre ratings on this site but the last time I went to South Park for threading I was extremely unsatisfied and unhappy. Being in Ballantyne, of course this brow bar was extremely nice. There were two chairs and private rooms in the back. You sign in by using their tablet which gives you the option of receiving emails, texts or none at all. My threader at WOW brows was an older lady who was an absolute sweet heart and understood what I wanted. I explained to her the unevenness and how I want my right brow to be thinner to match with my left (The South Park lady argued with me about this). "You want it thinner?" the threader asked me and I clarified by telling her not too thin. Just "a little less thick" and pointed to the area. I will admit... she was a lot slower than South Park. But her work is impeccable! She paid attention to detail... which I find more important than being done 2 minutes faster. My eyebrows haven't looked this great since.... ever. The threader offered to use a "powder" and although I had no idea what she was talking about, I let her. It was a great final touch... The powder was very subtle. Lastly, she did my upper lip which the South Park threader rushed through and left visible hairs all over. Again, it took significantly longer but it was all gone... she even got close to my lip line! I tipped her generously and told her how she's a lot better than South Park. I'm baffled about all the stellar views about South Park threading because she says she often has women coming to her immediately after having a bad experience over there. read more

I have visited this place twice. The first time my brows were awesome...so awesome I decided it was worth the 25 mile drive. I went today and boy do I wish I hadn't. There's a reason why I get my brows threaded...I like the preciseness to it as opposed to waxing, with waxing if they mess up you're screwed. I've been getting my brows threaded for years and I know how long it takes. I had Jing today and I knew something was up because of how long it took. I'm now the proud owner of really jacked up brows. My right brow is noticeably shorter than my left brow. I went as far as showing her a picture of myself with how preferred my brows to look, so there was no mistaking what I wanted. I'm pissed because not only am I out the cash and the gas it took to get there, now I'll have to wait patiently until they grow back in. Definitely think twice before going there. read more

Been going here over a year and just got my FREE brow threading after 12 checks on my card. Love that-being rewarded for your continued business-more business' should latch on to that concept! Yes brow threading hurts, but you get used to it after a few times. I personally think it lasts longer then waxing. It takes a few minutes on each eye, no appointment necessary, and as of this review, Jan. 2016, it is $12. In Stonecrest strip mall, Rea Rd., across from the Starbucks. I think this place is nice. I have been several times to get eyebrows done. The lady who did mine usually works on the right side she always gets my eyebrows shaped the way I like. I have also had my chin and lip done. They are not very expensive and I usually receive $2 off text deal. The place is very clean. They are pretty quick as well I usually go during the week less people there. read more

I come here about every three weeks. Zilda is my favorite brow shaper. She takes her time to inspect her work and touches up any missed areas before you leave. I check her work with a magnification mirror and all brows in place. I have had a couple of the other women rush their work on previous visits. Howver, the price is right and I've learned to use the magnification mirror. Otherwise, the location is convenient and the price is good. read more

This was my 2nd visit to Wow Brows! in Stonecrest shopping center. I went in to get my eyebrows threaded as I feel as though sometimes I get tired of my regular waxing place. Today, the technician asked me if I wanted to get my eyebrows tinted (I was the perfect candidate to upsell due to my light/thin brows!). I figured I'd get it a shot since it was only $20 and it is supposed to last two weeks. It took an extra 10-15 minutes on top of the thread. I must say I'm pretty please with the results. It does take a little getting used to, especially if you aren't used to having your brows looking full. I'd recommend it to anyone who was thinking about taking the next step with their brows but not wanting to commit to something like microblading. read more

Went to WOW Brows on 8/9/2019 and i have been there about 6 times before, this time how ever i felt like it was a lot more painful! When i looked in the mirror the next day the area near my eyebrows have thread burns! I have scabs! The women doing my eyebrow broke the thread too! i called to just let them know and the lovely lady just told me to put cream on it and told me she didn't really understand me! In the past, I have been driving 25 mins to South Park mall to have my eyebrows threaded. Because I have always been pleased with the brow place at South Park mall, I have continued to give them my business. It is difficult for me to go outside my comfort zone so when I came across WOW Brows in Stonecrest, I was skeptical to try. I'm so happy I decided to try WOW brows! The customer service was wonderful, very friendly and helpful. The store was also very clean. My brows look great- they did exactly what I asked! I've come here and had a really bad experience with my eyebrows a few months back (totally uneven, did not do what I wanted) but I gave this place another try and they did my eyebrows pretty well! I would suggest finding one person that you like and stick with them... the only thing is that my upper lip had a good bit of hair left after they finished.
