Tempura broccoli
Rex X.

Serving up some Asian-ish food to generally older and working folks here. There are bulgolgi bowls, bento boxes, Philadelphia rolls, etc. Owner of this place previously opened neighboring Wow Bowl but then sold it. The kind of place where you can get hot sauce w your rolls. Not bad. The tempura in Wow Bento is broccoli, 2x shrimp, sweet potato, kabucha (pumpkin like thing).

$7.99 combo udon meal with 4 pc Cali roll

We were already hungry walking around trying to figure out what we wanted to eat. And the little girl wanted udon. And this place is the only one we found that had udon. But I'm sure there was is other places to get udon. So we ordered the udon combo since she wants shrimp tempura. The combo comes with 4 pc California roll, 1 shrimp, 1 yam tempura. All for $7.99. It's not bad i guess but you can't get the best tasting from a mall. That's what I think.

Fresh Chicken Salad $6.99!!!

Wow... I guess the place does kind of make you wanna say "Wow." I was most impressed with their huge portions, freshness and great prices. Almost nothing is more than $9 bucks or so. The customer service is always great too. Food: They have all kinds of stuff like a sashimi bowl with fresh tuna, rice and salad. Sushi combos that are huge and some come with tempura, etc... your usual fast-food type joint that serves Japanese/asian food. Sauces: Toward the back of the restaurant along the counter, there's a few sauces to choose from. Grab a plastic container and fill it with whatever sauce you want like tempura sauce for your deep fried goodies! Parking: Hmm... Probably will have to pay for a parking lot, unless you can park on the street. Overall, I'd say this is a convenient fast-food place to go if you're walking around the jewelry district :)

Bibimbap with chicken, no rice

We order from this place 2-3 per month and the food is consistent. It's always fresh, healthy, and delivered quickly. We usually get the Bibimbap (Korean style bowl with rice, mixed raw veggies and choice of protein). The food here is good, not gourmet or fancy, but yummy and consistent. I recommend this place if you're in the area and need a quick and lite bite.

Sashimi rice.

I wanted to give this a 4 star for great customer service but the price did it for me. 9.25 seemed a bit high but still manageable for my sashimi rice plate. Other than that I came in as the last customer and the food was still fresh and the lettuce didn't seem wilted or sitting there all day. Plate even came with soup Like everyone else mentioned great place to grab a quick bite, nothing out of this world but nothing disgusting or horrible about this place. And the guy greeted me and even struck a conversation with me which I appreciate.

By far the best!. Fabio and his staff always in a good mood ready to serve with quality! My favorite is the shrimp tempura roll (so good it didn't make to e picture), and this spicy seafood soup with ramen noodles

Hidden place on hill. They make the rolls fresh. You get lots of food. They even deliver. Great place for lunch. Havn't been in the evening so I don't know if they are open after you party but If they are you should go. No reservation just a nice little mom and pop restaurant. Good Job! I liked it.

That dude with the blue hat is so nice and very friendly. Love this place I come here at least twice a week. Everything is made fresh here.

This place has great customer service, it's clean and fast serving. The food is fresh and made when you order it. I love their chicken tempura which is not expensive at all. In fact their prices are VERY reasonable.

Read a lot of reviews giving this place good reviews for cheap food. This restaurant is hidden between many jewelry shops on S. Hill St. in Downtown LA. Perfect walking distance from my office, my coworker and I decided to give this place a try during our lunch break today. The restaurant wasn't completely empty, but wasn't completely full either. It's pretty worn down and definitely not the nicest place to have a meal. The lady (the owner I assume) didn't seem very happy with her job. She had a emotionless face expression while taking my order and really didn't seem like she wanted to be there. I asked her a couple questions and she just seemed really annoyed. She didn't smile at least once. I ended up ordered the sashimi salad for almost $11 including tax. The amount of sashimi that come with the salad definitely wasn't enough compared to the amount of lettuce that it came with. My coworker ordered a bento for around $8. Hers was probably more worth it, but it was basically just a simple deep-fried roll with some veggies. I don't think this place is worth it. The food was just okay, price was too high considering the amount of food I got, and the atmosphere wasn't good either.

It's easy to walk past wow bento without giving it a second look. It's got a cheesy sign, minimal storefront, and a next door neighbor with nearly the exact same name. The sushi itself is definitely worthwhile. Nice and fresh and a few steps above grocery store quality for about the same cost. I'm having the spicy tuna roll and the spicy tatami roll and they are both totally good. Total cost: 12 bucks. I can't give four or five stars in good conscience because the place is a little bit of a dive. But hey, it's a good value if you're not trying to have a swanky meal. They have an A from the health department, and a clean open line where you can watch your sushi being made. Bottom line: go here. Grab your sushi. Go to the park.

Sushi, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways... Wow Bento & Roll, you only satisfy my fishy urges for a moment and then I start thinking about a sit-down Japanese restaurant, it is then when I want the real deal. Don't get me wrong, I have tried most of their salads, (salmon skin, chicken, sashimi, and spicy tuna) rolls (baked salmon, spicy tuna, crunch, unagi, etc) and none has ever disappointed my taste buds (and tummy). If you're a picky sushi eater you'd probably laugh at the sight of these rolls and ridicule the taste. For one, I'm not completely nit picky so if it's the only place near my work where I can get sushi, I will. Just a quick warning, when you step into the place to eat (or in my case wait for my food to take back to work), you'll come out stinking like oil as if you'd just been fried right along with the tempura.

One of the best sushi spots I've had a in a while actually. We didn't really do any appetizers and went straight in for the fish. Started off with a couple of hand rolls, we did the crab hand roll and O toro hand roll. Crab hand roll wasn't as impressive, I've had better to be honest. I didn't let that experience ruin it for me because the toro hand roll was delicious. I think they add a piece of mint and it complimented the hand roll. Very crunchy nori wrapper and good rice to fish ratio. For our sushi we started with chu toro tuna, salmon belly, and halibut. Super fresh melt in your mouth quality. Halibut was interesting with the truffle, first time definitely won't be the last. We ended it with red snapper and black snapper. Absolutely amazing, I think the black snapper or the red snapper was slightly charred. It was so good. To say the least, this restaurant was worth it!

When I made reservations on the phone I asked about the latest reservation and confirmed 10 pm - however I asked if I could sit at the bar and they said not at that time since they closed at 11. When we arrived, there was a couple coming in at 10 and sat at bar...maybe just miscommunication but tha could have prevented us from consuming our food quick and skipping on alcohol since the table we got was not the best. Sushi felt very fresh and there's something about the way they make the rolls that feels different about other places (not sure if in a good way) Great staff and sushi chefs- they were super fast moving from one course to the next one.

While the fish quality here is great, you will get more bites that seem a lot more experimental with flavors and garnishes. I didn't like every single bite but I expected that. A lot more focus on creative cocktails and drink pairings instead of just sake or wine. This is a great place to try Japanese whiskey, they even have little lockers where regular patrons can store their expensive bottles they've bought for when they return, and you are welcome to grab an additional drink and chill in the space afterwards if you'd like. The chefs here were a lot more personable and fun with more of a bar vibe than a traditional omakase. Service was great, dedicated bartender was great, and though it's not the best sushi I've ever tasted, I would still bring someone back here for a unique experience. Brought my friend here for her bday and we left full and happy and a little drunk so I'd say it was a successful night!

Such a shame because otherwise it would have been a great experience. But I cannot excuse them for allowing these other guys to just behave so rudely, like Neanderthal, and not say a thing.

It's the kind of place where you can slow down, enjoy your meal, and have a good conversation. The food was consistently good. Fresh ingredients, well-balanced flavors, and a few signature rolls that felt thoughtfully done without trying too hard. Service was another highlight--easygoing, attentive in a subtle way, and never intrusive. If I had to point out one thing, it would be that a few dishes didn't quite have that "wow" factor. But sometimes, I appreciate a place that simply gets everything right without overcomplicating it. Definitely somewhere I'd return to--and perhaps bring the right company next time.
