And finally, he clearly knows his stuff; you can tell that he's passionate about physical therapy and how and why the body moves the way it does. It's satisfying to be able to share with you how satisfied, more, how good it feels to be able to "pay back", through Yelp, the entire team for their skills, their attentiveness, their commitment to helping their clients heal. I selected them for my first recovery because they were convenient to my home. I selected them for my second recovery because I couldn't imagine going elsewhere. Like Tina Turner said, "they're simply the best." They've created a space that feels like family. Which is not to downplay how highly skilled, professional and committed they are. All of them. But, I would be remiss if I didn't give a special shoutout to Kurt Schultz, my "go to" therapist, for his attentiveness, knowledge, wisdom, skills, humor. Specifically, Atlas provides everything you need (on terms of a PT facility) but it's clear that the therapists and exercise consultants are qualified and really care about their patients well-being and goals. In addition to offering useful services like dry needling, massage, exercise plans, etc. onsite, I felt that Atlas (specifically Jeremy & Dave) did a great job of giving me realistic goals to work towards on my own. They also were an excellent meter for gauging my progress and helped me through the concerns/feelings that everyone goes through while recovering from a major surgery/injury. I was having knee and hip pain due to not being able to activate my right glute properly and the rest of my body overcompensating for it. My squat and deadlift were struggling as a result. Over the years, i've experienced several injuries from falls and accidents. Surgery was an option,…read morebut my orthopedic specialist, Dr. Yanni Zinnis, suggested extensive physical therapy as an alternative. Id tried it before for hand problems and been very disappointed. There was no improvement. Dr. Zinnis specifically recommended Stefan at Colorado Spine Therapy. I made a series of appointments and although I had high hopes, my expectations were low. I met with Stefan, he did some assessments, and we got started. Two visits later, my pain had already started to subside. After 3 weeks and 6 visits my pain was practically gone. It may sound dramatic, but Stefan literally turned my life around. He was able to zero in on my specific problem areas and with a few simple exercises at home, everything improved dramatically. He is very kind, his "bedside manner" honest and caring. He really listens, pays attention and with his knowledge can focus solely on the individual. I was reluctant to review Colorado Spine; they are so good....I'd prefer to keep them a secret!
