History
Established in 2013.
Denver Metro Counseling began in 2013 when founder Julie Reichenberger envisioned a therapy practice offering deeper, more intentional care than what she observed in traditional settings. What started as a small practice focused on trauma-informed, relational work has grown into a team of skilled clinicians dedicated to helping teens, adults, families, & therapists. Over the years, DMC expanded its services to include EMDR, Brainspotting, Polyvagal-informed therapy, mind–body practices, family therapy, & specialized support for young adults & therapists. The practice has always centered connection, nervous-system awareness, & authentic therapeutic relationships. Today, Denver Metro Counseling is a trusted name in Denver, recognized for thoughtful, collaborative care & a commitment to meaningful, lasting change.
Meet the Business Owner: Julie R.
Julie Reichenberger is a Denver therapist & the founder of Denver Metro Counseling. She started DMC with a simple belief: people heal best when they feel seen, supported, & understood as whole human beings. After years of working in settings where therapy felt rushed or restricted by systems, Julie wanted to create a space where clients & therapists could slow down, deepen their work, & honor the wisdom of the body & nervous system. Her approach is grounded, collaborative, & rooted in trauma-informed care, EMDR, Polyvagal Theory, & mind–body practices. Julie is passionate about supporting teens, adults, & fellow therapists, & is committed to building a group practice where authenticity, curiosity, & growth guide the work. DMC was founded on that vision: a place for meaningful healing & genuine connection, where therapists feel supported in their work, ongoing learning, & growth.
