My husband and I went to David's warehouse and picked out a buffet that needed restoration. We had talked about the type of finish I would like, and I insisted that I love the Art Deco ultra shiny finishes. My husband agreed that I would not be happy unless I got exactly what I wanted and we negotiated for the buffet and his restoration with the shiny finish. He wrote up the invoice and assured us that we would love the outcome of his work. Shortly after, he texted me a picture of what my buffet would look like once he has re-finished it. It looked like the Art Deco look I love so much. I made the mistake of paying this thief by check, so I put my faith in his hands. Fast forward two months, and I have not heard anything about our buffet. I reached out to him, and he kept saying he is working on re-finishing it. Finally, 3 1/2 months later, he says the buffet is ready to be shipped. I asked for a picture of the final result before it was shipped, and of course he sent me nothing. Finally, the buffet arrives at my house, and it looks exactly like the condition I saw at the warehouse. Maybe worse. The buffet has scuffs all over it, and is dull looking. I text David and say that the buffet is not what I ordered. He said that I wanted it finished in a semi-gloss, not high gloss finish, even though he sent me a picture of a similar buffet with a high gloss finish. I told him that I was very disappointed and he did not want to remedy the mistake he made. I sent him pictures of the defective furniture he sent me, and he dismissed me. My husband threatened to sue him and still no response. Beware of this man and NEVER buy anything from hm, unless you want to be ripped off.

I had come to purchase a console and a large medicine chest. Many of the items had visible raised nail heads beneath the painted decorative surface or unfilled depressions. On a high note the bathroom vanities were still in good supply and appear similar as they had before for people who prefer very ornate bathroom pieces. Unfortunately, there is a female employee there that is highly inappropriate. She likes to follow you around the store but offers no help. Seriously folks, how easy is it to shoplift a 6ft cabinet or dining table??? The store is jam packed with goods and she blocks you into isles making it feel claustrophobic. Also, every time I visit she has a need to physically touch me. She reaches out to examine my jewelry, hair and clothing. Once, even grabbing my hand to check out my wedding ring. WHAT???? The last time I visited I had to leave because she came over and touched my purse. She's just very creepy or unstable. She has a haunting presence like someone who could possibly be a danger if she flips out. The two times I purchased items it was from a gentleman and I believe his daughter. They offered better customer service and salesmanship minus the shopper physical harassment. A decent store but could be better with more consistently professional staff and attention to the quality of goods.

We really like their traditional hard wood furniture as well as their European style reproductions. Their European style reproductions furniture prices are just incredible given how well they are built. I would much rather buy these reproductions than paying premiums for the ones from Europe. We were also surprised to see bathroom vanity cabinets at the showroom. They have much better designs and style than most other places. The other surprise is to see so many beautiful silk flower arrangement. We just couldn't stop coming back again and again to check everything out. They do have a huge product selection from low end to high end products. We know we might be able to find cheap products from other shops. But, we like coming to Chinese Arts knowing that the products will last for a long time. And, we often find many unique items, like figurines, paintings, and jade carvings, that we can't find elsewhere. Most people don't know about this. They are a wholesaler but open to the public. This is truly a hidden gem in Florida!
