At the time, the expected turnaround time was six to eight weeks, but we got our boys' passports in less than three. And everyone at SC-Passport and Visa was incredibly helpful and pleasant. It was money well spent to avoid having to worry about whether we would get our passport in time.

While they have merit and are attractive, the opportunity to travel throughout Kyrgyzstan is unique in the photo workshop/expedition world. I'd never seen an opportunity like this before, and it immediately intrigued and excited me. Additionally, I'd never been on a photo workshop before. The logistics of the trip are daunting. Eighteen days long, with fifteen days on the road. Other than three hotel nights in Bishkek, the capital, at the start and end of the trip, only three nights are in hotels, the rest in yurt camps or tents. The execution of the logistics was impeccable. There was never an oversight or a dropped ball. And, despite the demands of this trip and extensive behind the scenes coordination and decision making, trip leaders Justin Black and Jerry Dodrill were always warm and in good cheer, with abundant photographic suggestions, insights and approaches to subjects. There is great instruction while shooting, exposure to diverse environments (2,500 feet to 13,400 feet elevation), and more than enough time at a multitude of locations to develop both a feel and an approach for/to the subject matter. Both Justin and Jerry are world class photographers with decades of experience teaching, and it shows. Ask a question and you get an answer with years of knowledge behind it (Stop, I can't absorb any more!). A word of advice to potential participants...this is not a hotel-based experience. You will be able to most enjoy this trip if you've spent some time outdoors, some time in tents, understand the clothing necessities of weather and altitude, and are prepared to tolerate a little bit of discomfort for an extraordinary experience. He was highly recommended to me by friends who worked with Airbus and I'm very thankful for their recommendation. I first contacted Scott back in 2018 on behalf of a good friend that wanted to travel from D.C. to the Philippines to meet extended family for the first time. My friend had never flown before, in fact he had never set foot in an airport before, so flying half way around the world was a huge endeavor. I simply didn't have the experience to help him with this complex trip. Scott was wonderful throughout the entire process. He managed to book seats with more space (which my friend truly needed), the flight both ways had one only stop and my friend didn't need to change terminals (which would have been extremely stressful and confusing for him). Scott also arranged overseas health insurance and made reservations at a fantastic hotel in Manila. From start to finish, Scott worked all the issues, and my friend had the time of his life and a life changing experience. My friend had such a positive experience, he decided to visit the Philippines again the summer of 2020. I once again contacted Scott to help facilitate this second trip. Scott and I started the reservation process well in advance in February 2020, and shortly after, the trip was finalized. Then Covid-19 hit and the Philippines was hit very hard. Travel was too risky and too restrictive so I contacted Scott and inquired about canceling the trip to get a refund. Scott stepped right in and worked the issue. The entire trip was canceled and my friend received a refund. Now that restrictions have lifted in the Philippines, my friend is again making plans to travel there this summer. I'm currently in touch with Scott and he is working his magic again by arranging a trip for my friend this summer with all the same requirements. I am confident this trip will be as spectacular as the first time and certainly won't be the last. I know this review is lengthy but it is my first review and it covers 4 years of doing business with Scott. I know I will be writing many more reviews in the future for my friend and for my family. He provided us with detailed itineraries and advice for Bali, Bora Bora, Fiji, Maldives, and a couple of cruises... we basically did nothing besides saying what we liked and didn't like, it was great. The entire experience was easy, and he was always friendly, responsive, on the same page, etc. We ended up choosing Bali and he set up everything from the flights to our couples massage.
