Seven years ago, my wife, my three sons, and I all needed passports to go to Canada. I had used different services for mine, my wife's, and my kids' passports, and SC-Passport and Visa were great. Seven years later, we went back to SC-Passports to renew two of my kids' passports for a trip to Ireland. We went in and it was the same woman who had helped us seven years ago. We were in and out quickly and SC-Passport and Visa took care of the rest. We just had to meet one of the staff at the post office to sign something, which took about 10 minutes. At the time, the expected turnaround time was six to eight weeks, but we got our boys' passports in less than three. And everyone at SC-Passport and Visa was incredibly helpful and pleasant. It was money well spent to avoid having to worry about whether we would get our passport in time. read more

It costs more, but you're paying for convenience. When you're rushing around trying to settle up everything before moving overseas, this place is a Godsend. I called to ask about parking and she was very helpful over the phone telling me the entrance was on Utah St. She explained the different pricing and I went for the 15 day; I didn't need it sooner. She took many pictures and we decided the best one. She was friendly and efficient. We double checked everything. My passport was ready in nine days and they called to let me know. read more

Handled my passport and passport card renewal as a walk-in. Took me maybe ten minutes, paid the fee, and then just waited for the mail. Yes, I could have done the same work myself, but they provide concierge level service for a reasonable price. read more

They did everything for me. Took the pictures, filled out the application and I only needed to do was sign the document. The service was exceptional and the process was simple. The parking was easy. I parked just outside of their door. Highly recommend this company. Everyone in the office there were friendly and very knowledgeable about what I needed. I recently needed to update my passport. Being newer to the DMV I immediately went to Google and Yelp to try and find where the best place to do this would be. I came across SC Passport and Visa and began to read through old and new reviews and research their website. For a company to be in business for 29+ years, I knew they had to be doing something right. I reached out to Veronica, and received an immediate response. I came in a few days later, and the entire team was ready and willing to help, they also had all been alerted to my impending visit, which made me feel that they were invested in getting me the best help possible. At the office, I worked with Arezou and she was wonderful. She explained the full process to me, asked me based on my options what route I wanted to take, transparent about the pricing and ensured me that all necessary documentation had been submitted along with the application. Fast forward not even 1 full week later, and I have my passport in hand. The peace of mind I have knowing my passport is now up to date, and that Veronica's team worked so diligently, swiftly, and transparently was worth every penny. I will continue to recommend SC Passport and Visa to friends and family, and for anyone living in the DMV, I strongly urge you to reach out to SC Passport and Visa for all of your passport and visa needs and questions! read more

IF YOUR PASSPORT IS EXPIRED AND YOU NEED IT RENEWED EXPEDITED, READ TIL THE END: If you are wondering if this place is legit, they are! Lots of passport places can be scammy and unreliable, but I assure you, this place is awesome. Storytime: I had booked an awesome vacation, but 6 freakin' weeks before my departure date I realized my passport had expired!!!!!! GASP!!! Panic attack time!!! I quickly searched online and found SC and called them on a Saturday completely freaking out. The young lady on the phone, I forget her name, but I believe she's Iranian calmed me down and said, "get all your documents together and come by next week when we're open and we'll try our best to help you." She also referred me to another business and said they'd be able to help me get my passport much quicker than SC, but they charged a lot more. Due to financial restraints, I decided to stick with SC. So I went the following day they opened and brought my documents; the same young lady helped me. She was incredibly pleasant and kept reassuring me that they'd try their best to get my passport in time for my trip. She really made me feel at ease. The next few weeks were just a waiting game. I'd call SC every few days asking about the status, bugging them on the phone. Those poor people were SOO patient with me, lol. Now the kicker: if you TRULY want to expedite your passport renewal, CALL YOUR CONGRESSMAN! Don't wait, do it now if you're in a hurry. In retrospect I wish I would've done it sooner, it would've prevented a lot of stress and worry. Now you may have to call around a bit to find the correct office, but people were very helpful. Even if you call the wrong office, they'll try their best to get you to the right place. I called my Congressman's office and one of his people emailed me almost immediately and said they're on it. Folks, literally 3 days later my passport was IN MY HAND!! Shout out to Richard Cerros from Don Beyer's office! You saved my vacay bro, you rock! Mwah!! Ten days later I was on my way to Istanbul, Turkey!!! read more

I would give SC-Passport and Visa 10 stars if I could! The Tuesday before Thanksgiving, I met with one of the employees there, Evelin, who was professional and pleasant. After selecting the less expensive option for an expected passport arrival in 3-7 weeks, I was advised by Evelin that it was possible my passport would arrive sooner based on their availability to process the documents. My new passport arrived at my home on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, four days (including the holiday) after I met with SC. Four days during a holiday week! I was in no immediate need, but it was wonderful to receive my passport so quickly. I will absolutely use SC again. read more

Great one stop shop passport service. I got my pictures done , they helped me with my applications and I was able to get a status check very easily. Pricing was fair and service was excellent. Oh my gosh this place has saved my life TWICE. Getting the documentation needed for travel is so stressful. Two years ago I used SC passport & visa to get a passport for a cruise I had a month and a half later. I used them again recently because I planned a trip to Australia and then realized that my passport was lost to water damage in my closet (completely molded). They made the whole process quick and painless. They are so nice and understanding. They also gave me info on a reliable website to get my birth certificate reissued (I also lost my birth certificate to the mold). I highly recommend them to everyone! read more

I've had a superb experience working with SC Passport & VISA for my travel needs. Great service; easy scheduling too. On a follow up call with them recently, I had needed to get a travel VISA arranged and Veronica H. was able to guide me thru the process easily, while simultaneously working with other clients. Everyone she worked with during my time there was attended and handled professionally, all while she solved my problem. It was a treat to be helped by her and to see such a sense of flow in her ability to make it all look easy. I will definitely go back to them in the future! read more

This is only one data point, but a very happy one. I had my oath ceremony last Saturday. Today is Monday, and I have my passport with me ready to take the flight tomorrow. It feels pretty unreal to be honest. Veronica is extremely helpful both over the phone and in-person. She explains everything clearly and gives very specific instruction on what you need to do to complete and submit the application. Thanks to her, I felt well-prepared and always knowing what to do when I went through the whole process. Great communication and always keeps you posted. Highly recommend. read more

Veronica is lovely and really made a very stressful process easy, even though we didn't have all the right paperwork and there were some issues with photos! We had to move overseas and didn't get our visas or proper paperwork back until the last minute, so we urgently needed to get a passport for my wife, who had never had one before. I called Veronica and she said to come in and she'd handle everything. She was sweet and kind and careful, and understood that my wife was ill and was very accommodating. Veronica very thoroughly went through our paperwork, organized everything so we'd have the right package to bring to the post office. She looked through the photos we'd taken at CVS and said they weren't going to cut it and took her own photos. She sent in the passport package for a rush and it came back very swiftly - no problems, no questions, and well in time for make our departure. We've moved out of the U.S. but if we ever needed travel services and passport help, we would definitely use Veronica again. If you need help and peace of mind - definitely get help here. read more

100% satisfaction. This is one of those services you probably don't need often, but when you do, it's important. I would not hesitate to use them again. read more

Veronica and her mom, who began the business in mid 90's, have helped our family and friends for 20 years. Their customer service is unparalleled. When our son was traveling to Rio and the Brazilian consulate misread departure date, Veronica ran to their office with us and plead our case. Thanks to her, my son got his visa and left go on plane five hours later. She helped my dear friends from Bulgaria with passport for young daughter after Merrifield PO said they hadn't made their appointment which, of course, they had. I was able to reach Veronica on a Saturday night and she arranged for the family to be at the office early Monday...got it all taken care of, including post office appointment that day. These two women have compassion, class, grace, and knowledge. I don't really have words to express our thanks to them. I wish I could give them ten stars... and the moon! read more

SC Passport and Visa is the best expediting service in the area! The staff is very professional, knowledgable and friendly! I needed to get my passport renewed and didn't have a clue where to start. Veronica thoroughly explained the process and pricing. On site she took my passport pictures, completed my renewal application and took it from there. 5 business days later, I had a brand new passport on hand hassle-free and stress- free! SC Passport and Visa was incredibly helpful. My family is traveling out of the country this summer and I realized very late that I had an expired passport. I called SC Passport and Visa and that same day I was able to walk in and get all of the annoying paper work done. Victoria did an amazing job guiding me through the process. She was very patient and thoughtful, answering all the questions I had along the way. Victoria really knows her stuff! She was able to give us helpful hints (i.e. for the signature witness part of the application, you should most DEFINITELY follow her advice and arrive about an hour early). The staff patiently waited for my return to the office with all of the paperwork sealed. Amazingly, I had my passport renewed the very next day. Thank you so much for helping. I will enjoy my international travels for the next 10 years now! haha. read more

I have been using SC-Passport and Visa since I moved to Arlington in the 1990s and they have always been outstanding. That winning streak was seriously broken in the last two months. I took my passport in for renewal in mid-August and said that I needed it by September 11, when I was scheduled to leave the country. I have heard ZERO from SC-Passport and Visa since the time I made my request last month. The departure date for my trip has come and gone. Not only do I not have my passport, but also I have lost the thousands of dollars that I paid for the trip I could not take, thanks to SC-Passport and Visa. When I applied for my new passport, I had to provide a birth certificate. Within a week of my application, I had delivered the birth certificate to Passport and Visa online, and a staff person filed it in a folder in the bottom drawer of one of the file cabinets. read more

Usually anything related to renewing passports, etc. is such a dreaded pain. However, Veronica, the owner, made the experience such a breeze! I couldn't believe it -- was in and out in under an hour when I had anticipated at least a 2-hour ordeal. What made my experience particularly memorable is that, although I was not as prepared/informed as I thought upon arrival, Veronica continued to engage me with patience and was able to make it happen! Parking was extremely accessible, office was clean and cozy, and service was quick and professional. Recommend using their services especially if you're in a pinch! read more

I accidentally let my passport expire before a big trip. I found this place online and crossed by fingers. In a few days I had a passport and my trip was saved. Expedited passports do cost extra, but I expected that. They are sort of first come/first served so go right away. Their office hours are better than some of the other similar companies and their website walks you though all the paperwork before you get there. read more

Great experience with SC Passport. I was in a panic as I discovered that my passport was expired with less than a week before I was leaving on vacation with my wife out of the country. I looked around at a few other places, and the reviews were not pretty (i.e., once some other places take your money, they don't care if you get your passport in time and blame it on the US passport office, etc). But I called SC Passport and they were very knowledgeable. They could take my passport photos on-site and provided expedited options for how I could get my passport in a hurry. They laid out all the forms required, and articulated the process on exactly how it would work (i.e., they deliver all passport requests first thing the following day at 8AM, they have a certain allocation of high-priority slots in order to accommodate their expedited passports, they monitor the expedited requests very closely to ensure they get through the process, a courier will deliver them between 4:30PM-5:00PM back to their facility for 24 hour requests, etc. Their calmness and confidence in the process made me feel good that I was in capable hands. I took the 24hr expedited option. I walked in on a Thursday, and by Friday @ 5PM I had my new passport in hand, without incident. I paid a premium for this, but SC Passport's expedite premium is as competitive as any of the other agencies out there, and to me SC was worth every penny. They made a stressful situation stress free. read more

SC Passport and Visa is amazing. I realized a month before leaving for Mexico that my passport was expired and I panicked. Especially because it's during the holidays and everything is backed up. I looked into using rushmypassport.com - I actually placed an initial order with them and ended up canceling and requesting a refund because hidden fees kept popping up and it was getting ridiculous. I still haven't received my refund and it's been 2 weeks. So I went to SC Passport and Visa in a panic and Veronica assured me that everything would be completely fine. I had my passport within 2 weeks (State Department was closed for a week for Christmas). Veronica and her team hand delivers everything downtown so you don't have to worry about mishaps with FedEx or anything like that. They truly were great and I highly recommend them to anyone who needs Passport help or just wants to be reassured that you'll get everything in time read more
