While I get the seat yourself thing - we were not greeted when walked in. Others after us were. We had to clean off a table ourselves to be able to sit down. When we went to the bar to order the bartender continued visiting with customers at the bar and then refilled a drink of another customer that walked up to the bar after us before taking our order. The sausage was pretty killer, a tad spicy. The mushroom pasta had a tinge of lemony zest to it. Morels were deliciously panfried in butter. My favorite was the to go order for a third person though: pistachio Alfredo, a similar sauce to the wild mushroom pasta but a bit nuttier. Zero complaints with the food, and i look forward to the owners new location (pizza Lotties) that will be opening soon i hear. This place is dangerously close to five star perfection, if only it were not so crowded (locals know whats up) and it's also a bit loud. The open air kitchen is a nice touch but probably doesn't help with the noise. Imo good food for decent value and would be worth the wait (you can enter into the waitlist online which i will certainly do next time and probably opt for patio seating if possible) All in all very satisfied. This place has a cool menu that seems to evolve and explore the culinary arts. We didn't get one refill, didn't get one "do you need anything." We watched her talk to who I assume was the manager about pre-closing, and watch her take phone orders. I get that she might be new, but there seemed to be no interest in taking our order or serving us. After we finished our food, we stacked our plates and waited for it another 30 minutes for the check. When we finally received it, I just walked up to the counter to get checked out because I was not going to give her my card and wait for another God knows how long. Appreciate the advice, but I did express frustration and was met with more frustration. Work on your training practices.

I called the restaurant right away and, after some back and forth, I was told they would remake the order and redeliver it. Later, I received a text message saying they were unable to redeliver because their delivery scheduling system was down, and that I would need to come pick it up instead. I explained that I couldn't do that because I have an infant who had just gone to sleep. At that point, I was frustrated -- the situation started with a mistake on their end, and a pickup solution didn't resolve the issue for me. That said, I do want to acknowledge that the owner/manager stepped in and worked to make it right. He offered compensation and ultimately arranged for a new order to be placed and paid for personally so it could be delivered to us. While the initial experience was inconvenient and frustrating -- especially with the communication being handled by text instead of a call -- I appreciate the effort that was made afterward to rectify the situation. I hope future orders go more smoothly, but I do respect a business that takes responsibility and tries to fix a mistake.

My spouse picks up the order and accidentally didn't get the third pizza because he didn't place the order, I did so he was assuming pickup was correct. We call to see about a delivery for the missing pizza but they didn't have anyone who could for an hour so we went to go pick it up. That's fine, we understand. When we get there though we say we are there for our missing pizza and the employee says, "what this half eaten one?! "‍ They proceed to give him a cold pizza that was in the rack and he's so flabbergasted that he leaves and is so angry he picks up McDonald's to eat instead of their cold pizza which we had just called about replacing less than 10 minutes before. There was no apology, no customer recovery attempt at satisfaction or anything. We will no longer patronize your establishment and no longer recommend to others.
