For several - actually a little more than three years - I continued to visit a leading sports medicine and orthopedic doctor at Emory Hospital. My lower back pain at this point was affecting my posture, walking and standing. i had never had trouble with my back in my life, but now I was bending over while walking and leaning on shopping carts in the store to assit me and provide some relief when shopping. After several visits to the doctor at Emory, he concluded that the problem was a loss of cartiledge at the base of my spine and that there was essentially nothing I could do about it. I also informed that doctor of another compaint, pain in my neck and shoulders. That would require another appointment to get that issues addressed, with the same outcome - nothing could be done about it and I would have to rely on physical therapy and pain meds for the rest of my life. Finally, after noth physical therapy and daily pain medications and one more visit to the doctor for almost unbearable pain in my shoulders and neck, I decided to go the chiropratic route. Dr. Carhee listened intently to my compalints about my back and the pain I was experiencing and after a very thorough and comprehensive examination, began a series of treatments and adjustment to correct the issues with my back. The relief was immediate and has lasted. I am only oon my third visit and I proably have 30% to 40% more mobility in my arms, shoulders neck and back. I am excited and hopeful about progressing physically and just wish I had made the decision to visit Pain2Wellness much sooner and put my back in Dr. Carhee's hands before I spent so much time in pain.
