Watch repaired here recently and I'm a very happy first-time customer! Always nice to find good, unpretentious people in the world of watches. Clasp was not functional on one side of two trigger system. Bretlin diagnosed the issue in less than ten minutes and clearly explained the next steps. I left my watch there overnight--having visited in the evening (awesome hours by the way) and I was told to expect a call around noon the next day. That call arrived on schedule. This job required a new part, and I appreciate the care taken when replacing with a new stock part. When i asked, they explained what went wrong in the clasp and gave me the faulty part. My watch comes back to me looking even better than before. Location has good off street parking, is a watch repair/nail salon, with AC, beverages (bottled water & coffee machine, and candy. Interior was very clean. Replaced three batteries for $45 dollars total. Took maybe 20 minutes. Brought three different types of watches of three different ages. One of the watches was "not replaceable" at a shop I tried in SF. My grandfathers watch from 1971. Will definitely go here again. I had an Oris Aquis serviced here, and they did a bang up job on both the mechanical work as well as the polish on the watch. I gotta ding them a star because they gave me a quote on the phone and straight up raised it $50 when I got there, and also they're not great with calling you when your watch is finished, as some reviews have echoed. But they do decent work and if I'm local to the SF Bay I'll probably use them again, but make sure they stick to the original quoted price next time. I do wanna add though that some of these low star reviews for battery changes and pricing...some hoe games right there. Really, a battery change and some commentary between the watchmakers and you're gonna go with the one star even though the work got done? This is why we can't have nice things. read more

My best friend and I went to World Time to have his Omega Seamaster Professional adjusted to fit his wrist. Excellent service and took roughly 5 minutes before it was adjusted perfectly. Priced accordingly as well. I then went there to have them service an Omega Seamaster Professional that has been kept in a drawer for over 10 years. It was fixed, polished, and had its battery replaced. It now looks in excellent condition. It took a little over two months to pick up my watch but it was worth the wait. Son expertly serviced a really beat up Omega Speedmaster MK40 that I bought off eBay. Lead time was two months; Son said they were really busy. The service, polish, and new crystal (the AR coating was coming off on the original) was $875. The level of finishing on the lugs where sharp edges were maintained between the satin and polished sides was top notch. My husband needed a full service and complete overhaul on his Tag. He was long overdue and very rough with his watch. After getting quotes from retailers and other watch shops, we decided to go with Son at World Time. It was a quick visit when we dropped off the watch because he was very straight forward with us and you can tell that watches were his craft. I had never heard of World Time before but based on the yelp reviews, we thought it would be the best choice. We were right! Son's prices are the best and the service he provided was top notch. His turn around time was quick. Retailers told us they would have to ship our watch over to Europe to get it done and it would take 6 weeks. Son did all of the work in house and returned the watch to us in immaculate condition in 2 weeks! When he dismantled the watch to do a full cleaning and inspection, he sent me a picture of all the pieces that made up the watch. It was incredible and I appreciated it. I took my Brietling Areospace to a local watch repairman and it was returned to me inoperable. I could not turn the stem to set the time and the digital display was dark. I sent the Brietling to Brietling.com and they recommended a complete service near $1000. I wasted a week and shipping costs. I went to World Time and gave the manager my watch and he said, "Please wait here..." I thought I was waiting for an estimate and was fine with that. I usually go to a place on Blossom Hill to get my own watch batteries changed but they recently raised the battery prices and I think it's too expensive now to pay that much just for a battery that lasts less than a year long. I called and got a price quote and felt that they were reasonably priced. The gentleman I spoke with also said they give a two year battery warranty so that gave me all the more reason to come here.
