My electric scooter got a flat tire. I was able to get the tire off and the busted tube out, but I could not figure out how to get the new tube and tire back on the frame. I stopped in just after they opened, and the clerk helped me get the tire back on the frame, inflated the tire and did not charge me to do so. I was able to get the tire back onto the scooter myself, but without the prompt and friendly service this would have been a larger issue for myself. So will definitely be a returning customer for all my bike/scooter needs! read more

SIX STARS. I went to their service department for a minor repair on a Saturday just before they closed. I was expecting to drop off my bike and wait for a wait or two. I was absolutely stunned they did the service while I waiting and with a smile on their face. (Shout out to Matthew!). They don't know me from Adam as I am not a regular customer. They also had no idea years ago I was a service manager at a very large Specialized dealer. I wish all shops were this as good as WOW. Big Thanks, Robert@RSBIKE. read more

Update: I was told by the owner that they didn't have any thing on their website that said satisfaction guaranteed although below is just that. So you have this promise on your website yet you say it's not supposed to be there and you don't follow it. Somethings wrong here . I would love to give this place a good review, but I can't. We bought the bicycle trike for my husband to be able to get to baseball games as he has brain cancer and he would still like to coach at Enoch's As the brain cancer got worse he wasn't able to ride it, Due to his tremors It was only used about three times. I decided to call World of wheels to see about a refund. I was told by Peter they didn't offer refunds and I stated that there was 30 day refunds on their website. We were over like 10 days after from the day of the purchase. , We would even do a trade, but we're never offered that and didn't feel like the owners owners have a heart. This time has been difficult for us and I could only give them a one star. It's too bad no empathy was given to us. His brain cancer is terminal. We were also told that we would get a piece of wood that went in the back so things would not fall through the basket in the back and have never received. Shaun ordered that. read more

We had such a great experience! I brought in my bike for a tune up. It was stored &had some squeaky brakes. Sometimes I leave it in my truck to get to trails. What a cool bike shop and service department. The employees were all friendly and helpful. They directed us to the service department. The electric bike was repaired the next day and we picked it up. They went above and beyond to make sure they did a full safety check of the bike and made some adjustments that we didn't know how to do or didn't know needed to be done. We are grateful they took the time to do that and appreciate the great service. The store is huge inside with so many bikes Santa's probably jealous. All shapes, all sizes. So many accessories offered you'll be happy you stopped in. I recommend the World of Wheels and I think you will too once you shop there. read more

The staff is very friendly. The mechanic there sucks. I wouldn't take your ebike there to get it serviced or repair. Seems like they don't know much about ebikes and how to diagnose them. The mechanic that worked on my bike doesn't know how to put a bike back together properly. read more

New to the mtb scene and these guys were the best. Got parts and got them installed within 10min when I got the bike. a day later had an issue with the chain. I purchased roller skates and two sets of hybrid beach cruisers from World of Wheels. The staff are fantastic and they have a first rate service department. I appreciate how knowledgeable everyone is! I came in looking for a beach cruiser for my son going off to college at Chico State. Peter helped me find the perfect bike for Chico... a hybrid cruiser/mtn. bike that rides great around town and can be taken all the way from Lower Bidwell to Upper Park. It's absolutely perfect... I had no idea there were hybrid cruiser/mtn. bikes and he's loving the versatility. The staff are very knowledgeable and low pressure. Thank you World of Wheels! read more

If you are also planning to buy bikes, I highly recommend visiting World of Wheel Bicycles in Modesto. They have a great selection of bikes and carry high-quality California-made products. They also have an area for tune-ups, changes, customizations, gadgets, and much more. Their amazing team of bike specialists, especially Peter and Shawn, assisted us in making our decisions! We worked closely with Peter, who was amazing! He was patient and helpful even though we were new to bikes. Peter not just assisted us in finding the right bikes but also assisted us in adding custom gadgets, training wheels for my daughter's bike, adjustable parts for comfort, and even cell holders! We appreciate their patience and support throughout the process. If you need someone who is patient and bilingual in Spanish, you can ask Peter for assistance. I went there yesterday since my kickstand was not going up a very nice service tech helped me

Called on a Tuesday afternoon to request info on a bike for a birthday present. Had 2 in stock and I was able to make a small deposit to secure it until the next day for pick up. Smoothest phone interaction. Went to the store next day and was in/out in 20 minutes. Got help loading the bike & even got some cardboard to help not scratch up our suv's interior. Great service all around. read more

My wife and I are new to the biking world and we were told that World of Wheels is the place to go. Upon entering we were warmly greeted and felt like family. The service department assisted my wife with installing a kick stand while I perused for my first bike in over a decade. I was assisted by Peter who helped answer my questions and gave me some recommendations. What was awesome is he invited me to take a test ride. He guided me through the ride giving me insights from how to pedal properly to seat adjustments. Very happy - I even purchased a bike! Very excited and highly recommend this place! read more

Two electric bikes sold one in person, and another over the phone in two weeks, and satisfied. Say less.

I needed help from World of Wheels with a used Aventon bike that I bought from their customer who had spent $4,000+ on eBikes in their store. Their customer said "Go to World of Wheels and they'll give you the purchase info." All I needed was a way to show Aventon that the bike really was bought from their store and what date so I could get warranty work done. They wouldn't help me and said it was a privacy issue. I literally bought the bike from the customer's house and already knew his name, phone, and the serial number and had pictures of the Facebook Marketplace listing and our conversation. It was clear I hadn't stolen the bike. They just didn't want to help. I tried multiple times and they wouldn't invest the 10 minutes to write up the info with bike, serial number, date. read more

I absolutely love this shop! I was in the market for a new road bike, but I'm very new to the sport. I went into world of wheels not really having any expectations but I had a ton of questions! As soon as I walked in, Peter greeted me very warmly, and I told him I wanted to get into cycling. He was extremely knowledgeable and patiently answered all of my questions. He showed me a few of the bikes he had in stock but unfortunately due to me being vertically challenged they didn't have my size. We were however able to determine that based on my height, I'd be about a 49cm. He showed me what models he could get in my size and got me a great deal on a specialized tarmac sl7! After a few days the bike arrived and Pete was there to take care of me again! He made sure the seat was properly fitted, the pedals were torqued to spec, the drop bars were perfectly centered, and more! Pete definitely went above and beyond for me! If I had a chance to do it over, i absolutely would, in a heart beat! Go see my boy Peter! He'll take care of you! read more

Over the past 44 years World of Wheels has been my go-to bike store. They have always done a great job maintaining all my bikes. I have been purchasing bikes since 1980 from World of Wheels, first I purchased two Specialized brand mountain bikes (great bikes). In 2020 i purchased a Raleigh 3-wheel bike (another great bike). This past August 2024 I purchased another more expensive 3-wheel bike Baja Trike. I had a problem and I am happy to say that the manager Eric totally solved my issue. Thanks again Eric for being not only a great store manager, but also a wonderful caring person. Thanks, Dennis read more

review: Avoid? I recently contacted Gerid for a quote of $50 to install a tire on my son's scooter. He assured me that the job could be done for $50 and even offered to adjust the rear tire at no additional charge. I drove an hour out of my way to get the job done. Gerid mentioned it would take a couple of hours. However, when I arrived at the shop for my 10 AM appointment, I was informed that Gerid was no longer there. I was told I would have to leave the scooter until Monday and that they would not adjust the other tire. I feel misled and disappointed by this experience. read more

Not on the bike shops part but, from the company I had purchased my bike from . Matt, Steven, Jesse and Jacob all helped me out in different ways. I am actually giving World of Wheels 4 1/2 STARS. The reason being is it took back to back visits to get an issue resolved. Will explain below. If you are looking for a Great Bike Shop with nice knowledge people and a wide variety of bikes and accessories- then visit and shop here. We bought 2 e-bikes this week and the staff did a great job educating us and offering test rides both in their parking lot and around a very long few blocks. I had an issue that ended up being a defective part so not their fault but it should have been fixed on the first visit. Anyway, on the 2nd visit the issue was resolved and the Service Team and Service Manager were great. Not to mention that Stephen in Sales was great and made sure that everything was taken care of today. If you are looking for an honest, well stocked, knowledgeable bike shop please shop here. You won't be disappointed. read more

This is my third review of this business. I drive from Stockton to Modesto to World of Wheels and have never regretted it. A year+ ago The experience of purchasing an electric-assist bike, $2000, was amazing! 90 days later for the "quick tuneup" was just as impressive, with the service technicians. Today, I picked up the bike after 2100 miles and one year... For the "annual tuneup special." This place, World of wheels, is a well oiled machine from customer service , knowledge, no pressure, and more. When I asked for help to get the bike in the back of my SUV, immediately two young men literally came running! From a customer perspective they've got every aspect of the business dialed-in! read more

I traveled from the Bay Area to Modesto in search of mountain bikes for my wife and myself. With the recent COVID-19 pandemic it has been a challenge to find the right bike yet alone have it in stock. Most places are out of stock a month to 3 months, if not longer. I was fortunate to meet Sean. He was courteous, knowledgeable, and provided excellent service from start to finish. He was able to find the right size bike and fit for my wife. By way she loves it! I hope we can do the same in finding a bike for myself soon. The drive for knowledgeable and good service is absolutely worth it. Sean I look forward to hearing from you or anyone from the shop to complete our set. Thanks! read more

Just now walked in here at 7:12 pm. Seen the lights were on as well as the open sign, doors were open and people were inside and all I needed was a helmet for my son and I knew exactly which one. I walked in passed 2 workers on my way in and the ln when I almost make it to the helmets and the cashier tells me they are closed and they close at 7, all while she is standing behind the counter at the register seemingly looking like she was ready to check people out. Ok thats fine. It its not my fault the store clearly looks open, that is horrible customer service. Wont be back here. Ill take my business elsewhere. read more

I deleted my Yelp account years ago but I made a new one just to tell you guys how amazing the guys are at WoW. These men, Eric, Jeremy, and all the other employees in the shop were very helpful and are very customer-centric and will make sure that whatever you need them to get done, they WILL get finished. I only came in for a wheel truing but was then told I needed a spoke tensioning, which I did not know when I built my Velocity Deep V track wheels, so that was definitely a mistake on my part. There were some logistical issues but with how well they handled these issues and how the finished product came out, it was definitely worth the wait. They're ALWAYS busy so there may be a chance there will be delays on service deadlines, but when they do their work, they do it RIGHT and make sure it's the closest thing to perfect you ever receive. Although they don't have every single bike part I need for fixed gear/track bikes, they have a lot to offer and provide friendly and quality service to make sure you're all set and GOOD to go. This place will be my go-to shop despite living ~30 min away. THANK YOU read more

I went into this store looking for car rack... I couldn't get the one I already had on correctly or secure enough to hold my bike... so instead of upselling me a new rack... (pretty sure his name was Eric, I could be wrong) he came out and took the time to show my dad and I how this already owned car rack would go on... and I wanted to pay him (because I'm also sure they charge for installing these things) and after laying on the ground and going above and beyond helping me out with this car rack, he wouldn't let me pay him. - that's pretty awesome and the least I could do is write a thumbs up review!
