I went here on two separate occasions, the first was for an eyebrow wax. When I had walked in one woman told me that she'd be right with me. Then the man behind the counter yelled at her and said "anyone can do a waxing" along with waving down another woman and telling her to do my brows. She waxed not once, not twice, but 3 times in the same spot. Which caused her to strip not only my hair, but my skin too! My eyebrows are healing now, thankfully. & I didn't even get a refund. This should've told me the lack of professionalism, yet I decided to go again.. everyone deserves a second chance? No. My latest experience I went with my sister, there was a man who sat us in the chairs since we were there for pedicures. He proceeds to tell me I HAVE to get a special because he doesn't wanna do just a regular based pedi. And then while he's talking about the different prices, he starts rubbing my leg and completely veering off from pedicures telling me that I shouldn't have gotten married so young and that I need a guy like him. I was like uh excuse me? I didn't come here to get harassed. So I'm looking around like, where is someone else, and a woman comes to the front and yells at him, and another man comes up and they start bickering in foreign and they go to the back. No apologies. The employees are so kind, however recently it seems like a whole new crew came in out of nowhere and I'm still getting used to them and trying to find a nail tech that I love again from here. NEVER GOING BACK AGAIN! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AT THIS OVERPRICED SALON! First I was the only one in there, but the girl I go to on Wilma Rudolph was too far away and me and my husband had plans for the evening. So, I decided to give them a try since they're only five minutes away from my house. When I went in I thought the place was really cute so I had high expectations of the services, too bad I did that I set myself up. I went to get a pedicure and the water was cold not warm but cold, I asked him if he could put hot water in and then he did. I told them I wanted the basic pedicure, but had I known it was literally just me soaking my foot in plain water I would've done it at home myself, they didn't dropped the little pebbles in it, no soap or any conditioning to help my feet soak in the water better, just plain old water. I know it is basic but any person with common sense and that is use to getting pedicures would know you need some type of product to lift the dead skin from the feet. The guy was very rough with me and then when I asked him to use the cheese grater he told me that there's no reason to use the cheese grater because it's the reason why my foot is so course, so why have some thing you claim to not work in your possession? Anyways, he got mad about me asking to use it and then use the cheese grater and grated my feet very roughly I started to flinch but he didn't care I guess he was upset because I asked him to use it on my feet. Anyways later on he told me he was going to be the one to do my nails so he started doing my nails and I asked for tapered squared. He said he's never heard of that, tapered squared has been around for years now it's just a skinny square similar to coffin. He lazily put on my acrylic nails and two of them were crooked and when I mentioned they were crooked he told me that's how it's supposed to look I had to hold up my finger and show him that the nail was slanted to the right that it was not on straight for him to remove it. He then huffed and puffed and removed my nail, and then put it back on and start filing it without it being dry the nail kept coming off again and again and again and again so I suggested that he should let the nail dry before filing it and that's when he finally listened and it dried he got impatient with me because I was given my input as to what he should be doing, after all I am paying my hard earned money to get serviced. I was not rude with him nor condescending just offering a suggestion. In return he tossed me to his sister and said she will do my nails, luckily the sister knew how to do the shape that I wanted, however she was very rough with my cuticles and pushing down my nails as she filed. Overall it was just unprofessional to Say the least and not welcoming environment. If they were literally the last nail salon on earth I would go without my acrylic nails and if you know me you know I love my acrylic nails.two nails popped off two days after I did them. One of their employees was outside smoking a cigarette when I arrived and when I walked in it took a few minutes for anyone to ask what service(s) I needed. I finally told one of the ladies what I was there for and the employee that was outside smoking comes in and tells me to wait for her in the back room. Thinking to myself ok she's going to wash her hands. Nope!!! She came in smelling like cigarette and her hands as well! Came in to get a nail fixed since I cannot go to my usual place which is back home. First off it took awhile to even be greeted and they where very dismissive of me right off the bat. The man they finally sat me with was slightly rude when he got around to dealing with me and kept complaining about how long it would take to fix my one nail. It didnt matter that I explained how to do it relatively quickly since my normal girl who I have gone to for 2 years showed me and told me because it happens enough times due to my work. He refused to listen to me even after I told him which tools he would need and pointed right at them. It would have taken far less time to do this. He then sits another woman down besides me and works on both of us at the same time and gets some of the clippings on her from my nail when he shaved it off. Totally unprofessional. He finally just waves me off after not finishing and someone else comes and takes over. They also never spoke in English to me expect to ask color and give me a price. My first visit to this saloon was excellent, however my second was terrible. My pedicure took almost two hours start to finish, which I feel is a bit much for a regular pedicure. Two people came in after me and left long before I was done. My edges were not cleaned up well at all. And the man doing my pedicure picked so hard at my cuticles that my toe bled, even though I pulled away twice from the pain. On one foot my nails were trimmed and filed down to the skin, the other foot they were not clipped at all. I payed $65 for this and I am absolutely not happy. I will not be returning. read more

Ok, Came to this spot since it was the closest to my house - walking distance. I'm not sure exactly how I feel about it just yet. I moved from San Diego to Clarksville last week and this is the first nail salon I visit here. First off, the salon itself seems clean, really well decorated. Plasma TVs all around, nice comfy pedicure chairs, and heater was on (PLUS, since I'm not yet used to the cold) I was able to relax. HOWEVER, here are the negatives. 1. Not a lot of colors to choose from. 2. Customer gets one free drink of choice, I got pink wine which was delish, but when I got moved to the manicure area, I saw how dirty the glass was under the bright lights. 3. I got a male manicurist, I usually don't have a problem with males as long as they do their job right. He was very attentive but seemed new to the business. Spoke very little english. He gave me an awesome little foot massage, but that's about it. The color application wasn't what I was expecting. When he did my gel manicure (been getting gel manicures for about a year now) He left my nails soaking for an extremely long amount of time and it dried up my skin. Also, I have NEVER had a problem with my gel manicures, and the color always lasts... well, I have broken 2 nails since I got my nails done here and I am very upset. 4. The rest of the staff didn't seem so friendly, they stared at me too much and it made me feel uncomfortable. 5. They have different "styles" of pedicures that you can choose from, I chose a pomegranate (something) pedicure, that included a "hot stone" massage.... all I got was a hot towel, and then a regular massage, So I'm not sure if it was because the guy was new or not, but definitely not worth the extra $$. 6. Overpriced. In San Diego I paid around $60 including tip every time I went in for a pedi/mani. Here I ended up paying $70 NOT including tip. Would I go back? Maybe... I like to give places, especially nail salons when you have so many different manicurists to choose from, a second chance; but not anytime soon. read more

He took his time and to the best of his ability tried to give me the nails i showed him in a picture. They have plenty of spa and manicure chairs, and plenty of nail technicians on duty. Very impressed.They offer many types of pedicures and each service comes with a free drink of wine or water, they definitely don't offer that at every salon in Cali. THE MANAGER did my nails. went there 3 times the next day to get them removed and a refund. They refuse to give me my refund. DO NOT COME HERE. absolute trash. they told me the lady who did my nails would be there never showed up until the following day. and still refused to give me a full refund. Well, I hadn't heard very good things about this place, but I was in the area and decided to give it a try. We were trying to get pedis, but apparently a sleeping infant isn't allowed in the salon. I get it: kids are a distraction, maybe safety reasons, or they're just annoying, but you should have a sign. Like at the doctor's office: "No kids allowed unless they're getting a service, too." I've been to this nail shop a few times and while there was nothing to rave about they did a decent job. They definitely need to do some renovations. During one visit I asked to switch chairs because mine was obviously broken. The head piece was stuck forward placing my neck at a very uncomfortable angle. The nail tech tried to tell me that this is what all the chairs were like which I knew was obviously false( he just didn't want to move me). In addition, most of the drink trays are falling off the chairs, so if they do give you a drink (which they reluctantly offer) you have no place to put it. My last visit will most definitely be my last. The nail techs were rude and the one that did my nails acted as if she didn't really want to touch me. I probably received the lightest, quickest massage known to man. She honestly just karate chopped one leg twice. Seriously, chop chop and done. The nail polish was chunky and my big toe looked a mess. To add insult to injury, she then proceeded to put the clear polish not only on my toenail but on my toes as well. Not going back! read more

so the only reason i came here is because my regular nail lady Cindy moved here because of renovations on her nail salon down the road. i had a good experience with her as always and would go back but only for her. otherwise, the other day on my birthday i came in because i needed a brow wax. i called beforehand to see if they did them so it was a spur of the moment decision and nothing else was open. as soon as i went in they pointed at a woman and told her i needed the wax, the woman told me to go to the wax room so i did, as soon as i got in there i noticed the bed were supposed to lay on had a filthy sheet on it, dirt marks from peoples shoes and a rag at the top that i'm not sure was clean either. i was nervous to lay on it but she seemed in a rush. the wax station looked gross too. the woman (bless her heart i'm not trying to be judgmental) smelled like cigarettes and didn't wash her hands or anything. there was no light to see my brow hairs, she just slopped on the wax haphazardly it was almost too hot for my face, less than 2 minutes later she told me she was done, no plucking nothing, she missed like 50 hairs, and when i pointed at a hair i specifically wanted to remove she plucked like 4 hairs other than the one i wanted. and she made them so so thin and took off the bulk of my main eyebrow hairs, they were uneven and i had to tweeze a bunch to make them look presentable at home. and i still don't like them much. worst brow experience i've ever had. and i still had to pay $14 for them and tipped her $2 cause she was standing right in front of me while i signed and i felt bad. really seems like they just have anyone in there waxing with no credentials and no experience just a way to get some more money knowing a lot of people are too kind to complain. awful. read more

Do not go to this salon..... I should have listened to the reviews that I read. They don't have a big variety at all and anytime I go in and show them a pic of what I want I always get the same response "we don't do that here" and they refer me to go to another salon. The styles I asked for were very simple styles because I don't like all these new weird trends and they can't even do that. Pedicures are good but the nail part is average. This last time I went, which will be my last time, my nails were so thin they that two of them broke the next day, and I mean broke down to my real nail. read more

My friends and I went to World Nail Spa to celebrate a birthday. The girl who was doing my nails was really nice and even though she messed up when she charged my card, I do not have any real complaints there. Everything else however was a disaster to the point that I will never return. One of the male technicians was doing my friend's nails and before he started she told him how she never gets pedicures because she is nervous about people touching her feet. He took this as a sign to make fun of her for the next 45 minutes. Here is the first part of their conversation, Him: "You have the ugliest feet" (We laughed in a shocked - oh he has an odd sense of humor kind of way) My friend: "Well I am sure you can help make them beautiful!" Him: "What I am no plastic surgeon." My friend: "Oh.. well.. okay" Then it came out that it was my other friends birthday and she told him how old she was and he said "No, you look much too old. You look older than that. You don't look young at all." He insulted them in the name of "humor" for the next 45 minutes so what was supposed to be a blissful relaxing celebratory time turned into an awkward tense time that ended with my friend being really hurt. He also mentioned how "Once you go Asian, you never go back" and how my friend married the wrong man, etc. It was really uncomfortable and rude. I did call him out on some of the things he said and in response he only turned to my friend and said "What you told on me?" Like he was genuinely surprised that anyone would say anything against him. I am disgusted that any company would allow a man who treats women this way to not only work around women but also to be the person who has the job of "beautifying". His coworkers just said "He is always like this, it is his humor." Which makes it ten times worse because it means that this is not the first time he has talked to customers this way. This is the only place I have gotten my nails done in Clarksville and now I am going to have to find place to go. Needless to say I would NOT recommend this establishment to anyone while that man is still working there. read more

I just went here to get a pedicure. The man who did my pedicure was young and didnt speak much english, which really doesnt matter but he was very rude. Didnt say hi just turned on the timer and kept walking away while the jet was on. I mean most of the time i was sitting there with the jet running. He kept talking to the other employee next to him the entire time. The massage sucked and he didnt do a great job filing and cleaning. He barely coated my last nail before he jumped up to run. Didnt get help to get my shoes or show me where the drying station was. Im a good tipper, even when the service is eh. He got a below average tip for below average service, and when i paid the other employee (the one he was chit chatting with) he blurted cheap in vietnamese. And i said guess what? If I could rate them zero stars I would. I went to get my eyebrows and upper lip waxed today and everyone was rude. Soon as I walked in there was no one at the desk so I sat down. There were multiple people in front of me so when someone actually came over to figure out what everyone wanted to get done today the woman asked every guest directly except ME! Then proceeded to walk away. I had to wait until she came back into view t say "Umm excuse me ma'am I am here to get my eyebrows done!" She told me to give her a sec and that someone would be right with me. Then the woman who did my eyebrows was very careless! She did an okay job but I have never had eyebrow waxing be such a painful experience! She also got some wax in my hair and never said anything about it! Then got some on my actual lip while she was waxing the upper lip area! After the wax she put some oil on said she was done and completely walked away from me!!! I had to find a mirror to see how my brows turned out and couldn't even tell her if anything was not to my liking because she disappeared! It's been a few minutes since the waxing and bumps as well as red blotches are appearing around my eyebrows and lip area! The place I usually go wasn't taking walk ins at the time so I went here because it's close to my house. They started soaking my feet, 20 minutes later the guy finally came over and started working on my pedicure. He pushed up my cuticles and it was a little painful and that was 2 days ago and they are still sensitive. The nail Polish started chipping off the next morning. I am completely mortified by the actions of the owner at World Nail Spa in Clarksville. Between their store T-Nails and World Nail Spa, I have been a faithful customer since 2010. Today 4/28/13 I took my 9 year old to get a pedicure for an early birthday present. The pedicures were great, then it came time for me to pay. The owner called me a liar about my daughters age and told me I had to prove to him that she is only 9 and not 16. Granted she is tall for her age but no where near looks 16. I had her birth certificate in the car so I went and grabbed it and slammed it on the counter and told him he just lost a customer. He then told me he didn't care. You are the owner how dare you treat customers this poorly! Even after I proved to him her age he still didn't even give me the courtesy of an apology. I know losing my business won't phase him at all but I don't think anyone should be treated the way he treated me. read more
