I've learned to not rely, although highly qualified, my master plumber as his job is to install the fixtures and run/extend/correct supply lines and drains. I have come to totally trust my saleswoman, Suzanne Chance! I have either accompanied or sent my clients directly to work with Suzanne. On a full master remodel in Frisco, my recently widowed client need to make major changes. Suzanne had her climb into and 'feel' the comfort of a soaker tub. We determined the client did not want traditional nor contemporary, but specifically preferred a "Transitional" design for which Suzanne was able to guide my client through the process. If you haven't shopped for fixtures, you will find it's like a candy store... you want to have each and one of every thing which can be overwhelming to decide which to buy; this is where my company comes into play in working with our clients and our vendors/suppliers to make the determination and narrow down the choices. No one has time to look for pricing of 10-20 different items. Have an idea of what you want, limiting to 2-3, if you value your time. What has been more valuable is learning the difference from items bought on Amazon, Ebay and even the big box... they are very cheap with plastic parts and that will not backup with any warranty outside of a short amount of days. This is what my saleswoman taught me and I share this knowledge with my clients. The young woman in Frisco's remodel? She LOVES her Kohler soaker tub and the matching fixtures for the tub, shower and double sinks. Everything looked like it was meant to be and the plumber was able to install all fixtures with ease as we had everything needed, the first time. It turned out beautiful and the homeowner was overwhelming pleased. The best part for our company was the efficiency in getting the materials. Although not everything came in at the same time, Suzanne Chance communicated what was ready for pickup and the status of pending items. She took the time to write on the invoice which listed all components, making a sketch of each product on the line which helped in understanding what goes with what. A couple days later, we noticed another charge on our credit card from Apex and I called and they said their accounting system was really old and it was some shipping charge and a credit was issued. 2 days later another charge popped up for the same amount and I called back. Now, somehow it's an unpaid balance from the first purchase almost a year ago? They will not tell me what this was for and we paid everything in full both times we ordered. They did not notify us of the charge and charged it to our credit card without our consent! No one will provide any info about this extra charge. I emailed their accounting person and she will not respond. If you're looking to get ripped off or want unexpected, unauthorized charges on your credit card, shop here!

I asked them to send their top-notch expert technician, and I was very fortunate that they sent Jason and his excellent assistant (Ricardo) to my home the next day. They carefully removed (and disposed of) my old water heater and did a beautiful job of installing the new one (it was made by A.O. Smith Corporation). The installation job required several hours but it was clearly done properly. During the entire installation process, Jason kept me well informed. I highly recommend Legacy Plumbing for any plumbing or water heater installation needs. This is a very professional company what goes out of its way to provide exceptional customer service. There was no sales pitch and no pressure. So many types of machines that I ever even knew existed!! Actually it may be too much inventory selection because there are sooo many types of machines that it took me over 3 hours of shopping until I found the perfect machine for my home. I got the WMF 800, it is a residential/home super automatic espresso machine. The "brew group" (internal components) are exactly the same as the commercial grade machine models (WMF 1300, 1400 & 2000S)!! So this machine can handle as much volume as a Cafe quality machine... It has huge power but it sleek & compact for my home:) I even got to sample how it makes coffee because they had a floor model on display and they gave me several free cappuccinos to sample! More caffeine than I needed today but it was super fun;) They also have a full service repair department and they keep a full stock of replacement parts inventory so you never have to wait for parts if you need service. If you do want to buy a machine, definitely ask for Richard! He is a stalky bald guy so you will know him when you see him... He has a dry sense of humor, so u might like it or hate it... Either way he knows his stuff. He is very direct, so just tell him what you want and he will point you in the right direction. but don't expect a lot of small talk lol;) He is the owner so you can try to negotiate a lower price off the displayed prices... He will probably grumble a lot, but I bought a lot of stuff so he took a percentage discount off the total price as a package deal. Also make sure you get some Marcuzzi Espresso beans, they made the best tasting espresso I have ever tasted. It is a perfect blend of 90% Arabica and 10% Robusta coffee beans that have ben roasted "Italian Style" (so the are not greasy) to an Espresso Roast darkness. I am a very finicky espresso connoisseur and I like to have a double short espresso with no sugar so it has to be perfect when I make it. With the combination of my new WMF machine and the Marcuzzi beans I can make an espresso with the thickest & best golden brown Crema that I every have seen.... The creme will last for over 60 seconds. And the taste is amazing, soooo smooth never bitter!!!!! Good luck! Although I have larger projects planned in mind, I hired them for some smaller projects to see how they'd do, especially after hearing horror stories of larger renovation projects being handled poorly. My townhouse was built in 1981 and needed some repairs. Innovations Touch installed a custom guard rail at the attic hatch, installed some new window screens, fixed the catwalk in the attic, did some window siding and wall repairs and completed some behind-the-walls plumbing work. During the whole process, they set expectations well, did a great, detailed job of the work, exceeded my expectations, was fair in price relative to the quality of the work and expediency, and even cleared up a slight miscommunication we had very professionally with no ego or attitude. I was very impressed. Given they literally met all of my criteria, I trust them completely now and it feels good to have an "I know a contractor guy" for renovations for myself and others now. I'm still building my "rolodex" for home repairs, renovations, and HVAC, but glad I'm taking one big one off my list.

I never got a solid plan, they hard-sold me high, promising we would reduce it, just to make me sign the contract. (my first mistake) Of course, those meetings to discuss my priorities and reduce the budget, never came. My dream wasn't realized as they either vetoed, forgot or bumbled each feature of my design. Examples: I have a wavy wall, it took them days to correct the paint throughout the house, they flat refused to match my craftsman trim, they forgot my vented kitchen hood, vetoed my transom (they don't even know what that is), failed plumbing inspection three times and nearly blew up my house. (I'm not embellishing) Had to install the cabinets twice (ordered incorrectly and hung at the wrong height), the rough plumbing is so poorly done that the knobs don't sit right and turn lop-sided; failed to contain the renovation dust which covered even stuff inside cabinets and drawers throughout the house. The cleaning crew came multiple times and I still had to hire my own at a cost of $360, to get all the ceiling fans, fixtures, floors, etc. finally clear of dust and paint splatters. They scratched my hardwoods and damaged my stove. To top it off, they stopped paying the subs and one of them put a lien on my house, EVEN though, i was up to date on my payment arrangement. (Yes, that's totally legal, for some reason!) The drama continues as I need help correcting some issues that i don't feel I should have to live with.
