Everything is always very clean, the staff is friendly and helpful, the manager is dedicated and involved. My biggest complaint is the LACK OF FANS. It's not too hot usually but the air doesn't move at all. The massage chairs and hydromassage are a nice perk for Black Card members. They also have the hybrid tanning stall here, offering red light therapy, as well as lots of other tanning beds. I've visited a lot of other Planet Fitness locations from FL to NYC to ADK and this is the second best one I've been to. I'd give it 5 stars if they installed some fans.

I've contacted the manager, her herself was the one saying "if I catch you in there you both risk losing your memberships." I'm a minor. When I first came an employee named Brianna said I was allowed in the spa area and just couldn't use the tanning. Now recently I was brought back and someone argued w me saying bc im a minor I can't go in the room at all. I would've understood that but the way she had said it was RUDE (the gym manager).

update: it looks like they also removed this review from public review on their favebook page…read more interesting. joined this gym in November, 2015 with the understanding that further improvements would be happening (platforms for deadlifts/Olympic lifts, more athletic/functional things). in 5 months, nothing has changed. spoke with the staff (who are great) about cancelling and was told we'd be slapped with a $100 cancellation fee (each!). woah. spoke with the owner with the understanding that I signed a contract but when I mentioned the changes he told me "anyone can say anything" with a smirk on his face. it's an okay gym if you're in it to do 30 min of cardio and 3 sets of 10 reps on machines and such but as far as circuit training, strength in the way of power lifting or Olympic lifts, functional fitness, this is not the place you wanna go to. rest of the staff is pretty friendly.

Everything they have to offer is awesome and a day pass for an individual or family is great price to do multiple activities. From their aquatic center with a competition pool, splash pool for kids, and hot tub and even a water slide to open skate with rentals included. Overall a great time and easy to come and go throughout the day. Grab a bite to eat in the village of Skaneateles or try the community centers new concession stand that's operated by a local favorite, at long last!

I have witnessed the staff simply step over them rather than pick them up. The downstairs bathroom has some sort of fungus growing in it. If you suggest to the staff that maybe someone should clean the place all you will get is rolled eyes, after they stop looking at their phone of course. The cardio equipment is very poorly maintained and honestly you are taking your life into your own hands if you think of running on one of the treadmills. I can't understand why there are so many people working there and none of them do anything or why the owner allows it. Maybe it's time to lose the dead weight and hire a manager.
