Date of visit: July 22, 2025 Our friends are always gracious with hosting our four-legged terrorist when we travel and as such we always try to repay the favor by bringing them back something, and that something they prefer is Hendricks gin. Unfortunately the Vancouver Duty Free shops don't sell Hendricks, I suspect because they give preference to the Canadian brands. Supporting that suspicion was that the only gins available were Canadian brands. Staff recommended the Empress brand, well-represented with multiple varieties on offer, but that is also easily found back home and half of the fun is getting something you can't get down the street at the local Total Wine. Given that, we settled on the Sheringham Distillery, which did not seem to have nearly as wide a distribution as Empress. Our friends were very excited to receive the bottle and I hope they enjoy it! Staff here were a mix; one woman could have cared less about anyone in her store, the other was incredibly friendly and helpful, so if you don't get a good response from the first person you see, try again! read more

Browsed this store and it sells everything here from jewelry to clothes to snacks and of course alcohol! When in Canada I have to take home a bottle of ice wine. Got the Inniskillin Riesling ice wine from Niagra Estate for $109. Also, got the Macallan 18 Yr for $544. My friend had purchased 2 bottles before me and was able to get a 15% coupon and gave it to me to use! I was so happy to shave off $99 from the total. Yay! read more

I usually don't stop into duty free stores but something told me to check it out. I was on the lookout for a Fjallraven backpack for my sister. She's been wanting one and I saw a few in town but it was over a $100. I gave up on it. But while waiting for Starbucks, I wandered in curious to see if they carried this backup here. To my surprise they had a dedicated section with all the bags in different sizes and colors I haven't see around. Like bright yellow and mustard yellow along with different shades of blues. I went with light grey since she will be using it for work. It was only $95! Plus no tax and with Canadian to dollar exchange rate it worked out better buying it here! Super excited to give it to my sister for her birthday. It was a great deal! I will need to check out duty free stores more often. Depending on the items it can be a great deal! read more

What is a guy to take home for family members at the tail end of a Canada trip? Alcohol, of course! Just past the US Customs pre-inspection area, sits this duty-free store. Their most abundantly stocked item is alcohol, both hard liquor and wine bottles. I asked them if they had any Baileys, as my buddy had just given me a recipe for a new shot. Unfortunately, they had just sold out of that. I perused some wine and other hard liquor, and decided to buy two of each. The staff was friendly and helpful. The store was clean and well organized. The check out was painless. If you're headed into the US from Vancouver, give this place a try. read more

That's being generous. Usual M&M peanuts 200 grams for $4 is now double. And don't even carry SKII skincare. read more

Well, it certainly has all the basics for cosmetics, liquor and treats, but I can't say that any of the stuff is actually cheaper than at the US counters in actual department stores, even tax free, and of course no bonuses or samples are ever offered. At least you can try some of the creams that you don't have to touch or become contaminated with and they will leave you alone especially if they are busy or chatting up someone who is making a purchase. Perfumes are plentiful, too. Since I never buy anything from Canadian Duty free, a three it must be, but if you feel I am missing out on something please let me know! *It def. closes before 8, contrary to what the hours state.* read more

Total ripoff! Virtually no savings at all. This duty free scam has gotten worse and worse over the years but this last time was the last straw. I travel out of country at least 5-10 times a year so I know what a fair price is. This place is a total tourist trap. Don't fall for it. One example today was just beyond comprehension. Biotherm age fitness sells for $60 on the biotherm website, $29 on amazon, and $59 with a whole gift set. Here? $77! $77!!!!!??!! You read that right, an extra $17 minimum. Why kind of sick prank is this even? read more

On August 20th, around 11am I was ready to embark for Amsterdam. On my way to the gate I entered in the World Duty Free Cosmetics and Beauty Supply where the workers (a women and a men) advertised the products with "buy 2 get 1 free". Following their advice I stopped and funded 2 fragrances (one for men and one for women) to buy. I asked the men if the deal was applicable to what I found but he mentioned I should buy 2 of the same type so I went back and take 2 of the women fragrances. The men started watching close to me as he was afraid I was stilling something from there. I went in the store from a side to another with him unreasonable following me closely.I ended up been disturbed by him. I was the only one followed even there have been other customers in the store. I went to pay for the goods when he came and told me that the deal he just advertised was not applicable to the women fragrances I chose. I returned one and still interested to buy the other men fragrance. The cashier charged me more, I paid and went back to check the price for the men fragrance. The special price in red was 34.95cad but I was charge 50 cad and have been told that they do not have the products with 34.95cad anymore, but the price was left on the shelf full with a different product. I showed them on the shelf the price and the product I took from, however they did not do any corrections, have been very rude and aggressive (the men). Coming back from Amsterdam where I visited their Duty Free I found a very different attitude, respect for the customers and incredible best services along with very good prices (fragrances of big brands starting from 19euro) real deals so I spent 500cad there. (Maybe the men hates his job. Normally service at duty free shops should be pleasant. Won't be going back to this one ever). read more

I've actually been here a few times on the way to make trips. Better than the duty free inside the airport. Here is a PSA....please do not spray the perfume in the air when others are around. Some people are sensitive to perfume....don't be that asshole please. When I call you out on being that asshole please don't look at me and pretend you don't speak English when I heard you speaking English clearly a few minutes ago. Seems to always happen when I am here. It's common sense, don't spray when there are others around. I actually saw one lady take a perfume out of the box and try to make that her tester....really? Comedy and rage aside, this is actually a very decent duty free shop. I don't drink or smoke, therefore, nothing here means anything to me other than the really large Toblerone that's a tradition to eat on each trip. The prices are duty free, however, with the Canadian dollar lately it's not really much of a savings. It's great if you're an international flyer and want to bring something over, however, State to Canada and vice versa it's not worth it price wise. If you need that much Vodka maybe you shouldn't be flying at all. read more
