I emailed Debbie, the owner, initially in the evening and we started chatting via email right away and she was quick to respond. I asked her if she still had the 2 blue pied females that were on her website and she did. We were extra interested in "Aubrey" a little blue pied female. The next morning we called her at 6:30am (9:30am her time) and we spoke with her on the phone and asked if she was still available for reserve. She told us that Aubrey was available but that a lady that she has been talking to the last few days was going to come and look at her that afternoon and may buy her. I specifically asked her if we could just buy her right then to prevent her from being sold to someone else and she told me that it would be rude to do that and that she should still let the lady come and look at her since they had a scheduled appointment set up, which we understood and respected even though we thought we'd try. She was very nice and told me that she would text or call me as soon as the lady met Aubrey to tell me if she planned on buying her or not. That appointment was not until around 1:30 her time (11:30am my time). She called me at 9:30am my time (2 hours before they planned to meet) and let me know that the lady called and let her know that she would not be able to make it that day and that at this point she was first come first serve. I was of course very excited and let her know that I just needed to call my fiancee and make sure that we were ready to commit on Aubrey and to figure out how we were going to pay her, since she is across the country from us. When I initially started emailing Debbie I asked her if there was any other way of paying her other than cash or cashiers check, because I was a little uncomfortable with the thought of sending someone whom I've never met or heard of before $4000 cash, as I'm sure that would be anyone's concern. She let me know that cash or cashiers check was the only form of payment she accepted and that she could provide me with references if I'd like. At that point that made me feel more comfortable, and I knew I had no other options and I felt that was ok after all. Not even 15 minutes later my fiancee called Debbie and told her that we would like to buy Aubrey and that we've made a decision. Aubrey was 9 weeks, pushing 10 weeks, so my fiancee politely asked if she was negotiable on her price at all since she was a little bit older and explained that other breeders are usually flexible on the price regardless of the age. She explained that she is firm on the price and that she will not be lowering it. Jeff understood and is one of the least confrontational people I know, and just thought he would give it a try to save a little bit of money since we would be paying for shipping and she was a little older than we would have liked. He let her know that was alright, understood why she was firm on price and let her know that we want her and that we just need to figure out how we were going to get her the money, whether our friend who lives in Miami would give her the money or if we would mail her a check/cash. Right after this conversation I called her and asked her if we needed to put a deposit down on Aubrey so that Debbie would not sell her to anyone else and she said, "That is not necessary, she is 9 weeks and at this point you would just need to pay full price, and I will put her on "Reserve" so no one else can buy her." I told her that if we mail her a cashiers check it will take a couple of days to get to her, and she said that was fine, the puppy will be on reserve. Keep in mind, at this point we have not been communicating with this lady for more than 3 hours total trying to figure out if we could have the dog and how we'd pay for the dog since she's across the country. Within about 30-45 minutes my fiance and I figure out which form of payment we were going to do (mail her a cashiers check) and we gave her a call. No answer. We called her again a couple hours later...no answer. We started to get a little worried and finally reached her on our third attempt. She answered and immediately let us know she just showed another family the puppy and let them take her home. No sorry, no remorse, or anything. I could not believe that within a couple hours of talking to Debbie she gave away the dog that she said would be put on reserve for us. I would not suggest doing business with this breeder and do not get your hopes up if you see a puppy you want to buy from her. There are many other great french bulldogs in her area and everywhere.

Deby was very helpful and patient with us through the process of acquiring our French Bulldog. We drove over to Miami to pick up the dog where Deby met us and gave us great information regarding food and how to take care of your Frenchie. Deby couldn't have been nicer!! We have had three Frenchies previously and by far "Gigi" is the most beautiful Frenchie along with a great disposition. It shows how much care and love Deby gives her puppies.
