The staff was friendly and helped us understand the process of picking out a piece and painting it. There are also instructions on the wall on the steps you need to take to decorate your piece and there are labels everywhere to make sure you know what you're doing. When you first walk in, you pick a piece of pottery out to decorate/paint. There are a ton of items to select from including bowls, mugs figurines, and plates. I picked a little bowl to paint and pulled up my Pinterest board for inspiration. I went to go pick out my colors and they all had swatches on them with 1-3 coats of paint to show you how it looks when fired. They also have precision tip paint bottles (in the same selection as the regular paint) for little details and stamps. They provide you with assortment of paint brushes, decorated pieces for inspiration and different foam applicators for ombre looks. They also give you ceramic palettes and a water mug to clean off your paintbrushes. After you're done with decorating, you clean up your items and put them in the correct compartments for the staff to wash. Then you pay and they tell you when you can pick it up (usually within a week). There was only one staff member when we were there, but she was super helpful and kind. As we left around 6 PM on Friday, it got very busy.

It's located in a very cute portable surrounded by other businesses, it reminds me of a little village. She painted me a planter pot and painted half of it in two colors so that I can switch the sides, so creative. We were there for almost 3.5 hrs, never felt rushed or anything like that. When you arrive, the staff will walk you through with the process and will ask that you pick out the pieces that you would like to paint. Then, when you're done, they will show you the process and off to painting you go! It takes about 2 weeks to get the pieces back, so if you're in a hurry, you might want to plan accordingly. They do not charge for studio fees like other places, the price is already incorporated into the pieces and I appreciate that. I would totally recommend this place.

The last few times I've visited, I've painted small dishes and I love the cute variety of tiny plates they have available to paint. The unique shapes like strawberries and hearts are so cute and make for such a special experience. I love how easy it is to get set up with paints and clean up afterward. The signage can be a little confusing sometimes, but the employees are super helpful and kind with answering questions. The only down side is that during my most recent trip I was told I needed to wait two weeks for my piece to be fired. In the past and at other places I've only ever had to wait a week, but I love supporting a local place and I love that they have so much business.

Where have you been all my life?!!! We found out they've…read moreonly been around for a couple of years. Family owned business, dad helps out, so does their son, mom teaches pottery classes. So we celebrated 5 birthdays, 12 of us came to paint ceramics, we brought snacks, and drinks. If you didn't have any snacks, this place has snacks and candy you can purchase. Since we were a large group we took the upstairs level. Not easy for people with knee problems, but we managed. So we set up our snacks, Italian sodas, and birthday cake, then we went downstairs to choose what we wanted to paint. Items range anywhere from 20.00 and up. One of the birthday girls had to bring her granddaughter and she had a blast. Another young gal took her newborn and carried him in a pouch while she painted. Staff was very helpful. We had a color chart to choose our colors, we told them what we wanted and they brought to us and replenished paint when needed. Each station had water, sponges, brushes, lazy Susan, and a tray for your paint. We held the space for two hours. Perfect timing because they closed at 5pm on Sunday. They will glaze our projects, and next week one of us will pick it up and bring to everyone. Now we want to go back and take a pottery class. Everything is so affordable including the classes. So glad this one exists, because the one we used to go to in Auburn to pain canvas closed down permanently. I posted a photo of the wall of ceramics to choose from. I'm used to more of a selection of pottery to paint, but there were still definitely something for everyone, but it might have skewed more to items for kids. Prices were higher than I've seen at other places, but this is more of a mom and pop type shop so I'm glad to pay it. After you pick out your pieces you are given a tiny pallette for your colors and you have to write down your color choices for the worker to dole out your paint to you. I didn't love this. I can see how this is helpful from kids using too much paint or making a mess. but with three adults it was a bit annoying to have to keep asking for more paint refills. We weren't given any direction on what to do. Two of us had done this before but one of us hadn't so we had to be the one to tell him to wipe the dust off your piece, make sure to do three coats, etc. When we got our finished pieces back, I was a little surprised that the entire piece wasn't glazed. I'm used to every side being glazed including the bottom. One of us painted a turtle and he left part of the face blank, and that part didn't get glazed which was pretty weird.

This is a great brunch spot with the girlies, a super fun work event, the perfect birthday activity for any age - and you get to take home something memorable. Something you created alongside people you shared this memory with! Did I mention that there's FOOD? I just got a coffee this day, but my sisters had some tea and a pastrami sandwich. I stole a bite of the sandwich, it was indeed delicious. Next time, I'm going for a brunch outing and I WILL be indulging in some mimosas. The most beautiful pain and sip place I can think of. So you come in, order food and drinks if you'd like and then find a place to sit. Go pick out the pottery piece you would like - I will warn you, this is the hardest part of the process. After that, there's a station with all the supplies you may need (paint and paint palettes, paint swatches after firing, brushes, sponges, stencils, paper towels, food paper to sit things on, water bowls, I'm sure there's more I'm missing). Return to your table, paint, order more food, play with the super fun games they have?? (We played with a miniature pool table. Sure, it was missing some balls, but how often do I get to play with a mini pool table?), and when you're ALL done, take your piece to the counter. They'll have you take a picture of your item before paying for it. You will use this picture to pick up the item(s)! You pay for it and it's ready to pickup in 8 days! Plan ahead :) I do wish that there was a little more guidance when you arrive, but with that being said, everything *is* on their website. Some information is a little confusing or not current, however. I also wish that this place was a bit better staffed, but I know that's an issue many face and this business appears to be fixing! When it was a little rushed, I could sense the frustration of the person behind the food counter. Completely understandable, but it leaves room for improvement! Overall, I can't wait to come back to this place. I painted the plate, and I kinda want to try this again and see if I can improve! Can't wait to bring my mom here, maybe for Mother's Day?! You know what, let's all bring our moms here and create something special - memories and pottery!

I like that they serve more food than other places I've been, so you can eat dinner while you paint. We ordered the charcuterie board for 6, 2 pizzas, and a few bottles of wine. The charcuterie board was yummy with classic foods and we really enjoyed both the spring fever and spinach and Gorgonzola pizza! The wine list was pretty small with about 4 white options and 4 reds ( I think ?) but we were all satisfied with the ones we got. I like that they had instructions on every table of how to prep and paint everything from beginning to end so we could be very independent through the process! From what I saw, most pieces were between 25-60. They had a decent amount of options to pick from, including a plates, bowls, mugs, and trays, as well as animals and trinket holders. I would've loved a few more paint colors but what they had got the job done! There was a little chaos with the payment because of our reservation, but everything got sorted out and we had a great time! I can't wait to see my finished product! *there is not a dedicated parking lot, only street parking

This one is different: set on a private property in a quiet neighborhood in South Seattle, it feels calm, personal, and connected. For those of us who live just south of the city, it's such a treat to have a space like this nearby. The event space itself is gorgeous, and perfect for groups. The owner took time to walk us through everything and even offered drinks (such a thoughtful touch). What really impressed me was the selection -- not just the usual imported pottery, but also pieces made by local artists. I chose a heart-shaped dish I'd never seen before, and it truly feels like I created something unique. Between the fun variety of pottery, multiple art mediums, easy parking, an on-site bathroom, and pricing that's better than the mall studios, this place is a gem. Highly recommend for both casual painters and anyone looking for a more elevated, memorable experience.

It has the best selection and very competitive prices without complicated coupons and sales. We are creatures of habit, with my wife using JoAnn's Fabric for her sewing crafting needs because that's where her family shopped while she was young. Later Michael's became the place as they expanded and opened new stores in our area, and her other mom friends recommended. Now Hobby Lobby seems to be the place as we convert to an empty nest and help my newlywed daughter decorate her new place. This location isn't as new as the ones we have been going to in California, and wasn't nearly as well staffed. In our case, we were able to find everything on our own. I did learn that items marked as 'Your Price' (which is a large portion of the store) is the final low price, no other discounts apply. The vast majority of product are inhouse brands, with the price preprinted (which saves labor on pricing tasks). The only hiccup was that nobody was actively manning the registers when there were no customers, and could only scale to one register even with many customers waiting. But as I've recognized, personalized customer interaction is more important than speed and efficiency at craft stores, and it's obviously working for them.
