The facility is basic, no tanning beds, Sauna is extra and it's a 'retired person's schedule for classes', no classes after 5pm. I wanted a two day pass and was told that wasn't possible because of their computers so I bought a three day pass for $25. However, that Saturday, Sunday and Monday I had to take care of the same friend that I was going to the gym with - he hurt his back and could literally not walk or drive so I played nursemaid gladly. When I approached the front desk person she said that she would work with me since I had extenuating circumstances. I came back a day later to find my code didn't work. When I spoke to her again, she said, "I can't help you unless you buy a membership for $150 for a membership. I want to add I am currently unemployed so that $25 could have been a $1000 to me, but I really really wanted to work out. This gym IS NOT WORTH IT. The door system is down so much, it shouldn't be listed as a 24/7 gym. My friend has had at least two instances on the weekends that the door system is down and there is no contact phone number to get help. If the owner is such a 'standup' person, she needs to rethink her business model or get new employees that can take care of people. I've been to boutique gyms before and NOTHING about this gym warrants their attitude towards the customers and the actual equipment at the gym. AND the last time I was there in the evening, a member brought out a boom box the size of Manhattan and blasted the gym with ear shattering, wall shaking music such that I couldn't even hear my own music in my AirPods IN MY EARS!!!f My advice for this place - STAY AWAY, STAY AWAY, STAY AWAY!!!! THEIVES!!!!

Usually you have to go through a manager of a manager of a manager if you have complaints or questions and with this gym, you can go directly to her. The gym has what looks like brand new machines and the pads aren't worn on anything which is a plus, and the free weights go up to 150lbs, I think, it could be higher (but who's lifting that much?). I like the fact they sell t-shirts and it's located in the heart of downtown which is great because after working out, you can grab a bite to eat at a local restaurant. I also like the fact there is so many cameras because you can never be too safe in terms of security. There's an aerobics room and a Crossfit room which is pretty cool and the gym is lined with mirrors which is great so you can work on your form and see where your faults are when lifting.

Specific thing to enjoy but I like the news on the tv because I don't see much news anymore. Music is usually decent, but I usually have headphones in so I can't say that it's always a hit. Lots of parking in the lot. Conveniently located near Walmart to grab groceries on the way home after a workout. Last time I was there, I thought I lost my airpods. I called and the staff looked in the cubbies right away for me and left a note regarding my loss. I found them later and called back to advise and someone else picked up saying they saw the note and they were just going to go looking for them for me, too! Last week, the weather was 70* outside and breezy and very sunny. AF has windows all facing west. I went inside and it was so hot and stale in there I immediately turned to a member and asked, "have you been a member here long'? He said, four years. I asked him if it was always 'this hot' in here, and his response? "SOMETIMES I WONDER IF THEY HAVE AIR AT ALL". It was only March 30th! What is this going to be like in June? He went on to explain that "recently he got off the elliptical and felt like there was a 90lb weight on him from the sweat. "Sometimes they don't even have the ceiling fans on and that's usually the only air I feel". My face started turning blood red which does when there is DEAD STALE HOT AIR. **** It was about 90* in the place. I approached the female staff member about how hot it was and wondered if it were like this in March/April what is it like in summer? I got some guff and a blank stare about the heat being on 2 weeks earlier (random and irrelevant) This woman was wearing a hoodie in 90* stagnant air. I think she makes the gym comfortable for HER not the MEMBERS. I want a gym I can go to in the dead of summer, but not if at 70* it's already HOT and stagnant with NO AIR ON AT ALL. My contract is worth $1008, turn the air on!!!!! The employee checked the thermostat in her tiny office and said, 'it's 74 in here". No, dear the ambient was 74* which meant it was 90* in the gym. IF THE AC WAS ON, 74? REALLY? My face was getting redder and redder as I stood in front of her and she said, well, I can turn it down for you...but sorry, it was too late. I was overheated and left. I came home and worked out. I was fine 5 minutes after I left the gym. THERE WAS NOT ONE OUNCE OF FRESH AIR IN THAT GYM! Now, it is APRIL 5TH and I just got a call that my membership is non-existent. THEY DON'T HAVE MY ORIGINAL $80 mbrship fee I paid that day in November. I just pulled out my contract and 1.It's not counter-signed and 2. I would have to repay the $80 at the gym in person AGAIN. I am now at the point of not wanting to go back due to the temperature (which obviously has been a long time problem) but, additionally, because I had the money in Nov, I don't now! ($80) GET YOUR AC SERVICED, IT IS UNDER 3000 SQ FT IN THAT SMALL GYM, IT SHOULD BE 68* ALL THE TIME. NOT 90* I'm still deciding to re-join. It doesn't seem like you'll have to fight over working out in this place; but truth be told, I didn't come during primetime. This place also has a swimming pool and large coed hot tub (people fecal mover). Locker rooms are roomy and clean. Friendly people willing to spot you if you need one. If I lived in Dalton... this would be the place I would train. Solid.

There is always someone available if you have a question about how to use a machine or proper way to do a move. I kindly asked her what I can do to get added on to my mom's card, she then replied that I didn't look like the women that was the cardholder..... my mother..... I understand staff does not control policy but I was trying to resolve the situation so maybe I can get back to my workout. She only mentioned a guest pass to me after I seemed upset with how she was speaking to me but even then she prestened the offer with enough attitude to knock me out. She seemed more worried about getting me out of the gym than resolving my issue. I'll make sure to go to literally any other gym in dalton it'll be half priced and you can bring in a guest and the staff probably won't spit in your face!
