I've read criticism where a person lost their job and was without coverage so "workit" told her she would have to detox without coverage or the ability to pay for her meds. Workit is not a pharmacy. They have no ability to supply you meds for free or at any cost. This would be like blaming your physician because you couldn't pay for or have coverage to get your meds. I was addicted to 7. The moment I came to terms with that reality and the fact I could not quit on my own on a Friday, I had a video consult with an NP with a great deal of experience with addiction and treatment and the next morning I was free from 7 oh. It is convenient. You have to attend a monthly support group online to continue in the program. They have brick and mortar support meetings and it's easy to contact your addiction specialist mon-Fri all day. read more

This place is terrible! I attended a monthly meeting where I was supposed to receive naltrexone. I've been a member for two years, but I had to take a pause from my medication due to surgery. I participated in an hour-long video meeting, only to be informed that Shanna could not fill my prescription and that another one-on-one appointment was required (presumably so they could charge me twice). They DO NOT LET YOU KNOW that you WILL NOT BE GIVEN MEDICATION,. If Shann required a one on one, then she should have scheduled that to begin with, not charged me twice and provide no medication. I pause for surgery and get punished and charged in this way. Not a caring or supportive environment AT ALL! I an reporting workit to the BBB. I received a message saying the appointment was scheduled for 4:00 PM that same day. I confirmed my appointment, hoping to at least get my refill, but I was billed twice. After waiting all afternoon, Shanna canceled on me, leaving me without my medication. Now, I have a bill, wasted a whole day, and don't have my meds. I also received an automated message from Workit saying that if I have issues over the weekend, I should go to the ER. read more

Beware! This program is a scam. They welcome you with smiles and promises only to send you a bill for $900 for 3 months. And that's just the copay !!! This is after they billed and collected over a thousand dollars from your insurance. So if you plan on paying cash expect to pay at least $300 a month and if you have insurance the. I've only had my new phone number for a few months and Workit Health and all their branches designed to hide all their negative reviews -- as an entity -- they are definitely retaliating and attacking me! I really wanted it to work with this company as I am a single father with three kids with a year in recovery and have reached the phase where I am moving out of IOP and needed aftercare support to maintain my MAT (Medically Assisted Treatment) with Suboxone. This isn't my first rodeo with Suboxone or treatment. I am not a first time winner with recovery but I am a fighter and a survivor of more than just addiction and the poor choices I've made. With that said, I acknowledge my part in all things whether relationships, friendships, partnerships...etc. I came from an MAT that was prescribing for the month with appt once a month and counselor one on ones went from once a week to once a month over time. When I started with "Work It Health" the counselor who was very nice and exempt from my negative review, her name is Stephanie. She put me on weekly one on ones which is completely fine. She put a note in to the medical side that I was out of medication and needed a script filled to not interfere with my medication schedule. After that one on one all hell broke loose within medical. It started ok when I contacted medical explaining my need for the medicine to be filled. I was greeted by kiyanna who seemed nice enough and caring. I explained that I had enough for today but would be out after that. I received an auto message that the doctor could take up to 48 hours to respond to the medical team. Which of course caused me concern. I asked about this with medical and explained my anxiety over this discrepancy. I tried to explain myself the best I could without sounding like a crackhead who just needed his meds or else Dr. Hyde comes out to play lmao. Sad to say that it is true about Suboxone and Methadone being a major crutch and can actually be just as bad as the opioids were trying to get away from. Trading one for the other if you will. The difference is I don't overdose on Suboxone! I can hold a job, be a productive member of society, build and grow a life whereas with other opioids like Heroin, Percocet, Vicodin, Fentanyl...etc it's a soul crushing, life force eating sh*t show. My concerns were met with little to no care or concern. I was met with what felt like addict shaming. They tried to act as if my concerns for the overage time from the jump from one doctor to their doctor was no big deal and that I should have enough meds and be ok. I proceeded to explain it wasn't the case and that I have received my medication 2 days early every month which messes up my day count and be it a small issue it still comes out to correct. The two days is when my insurance is willing to cover the medicine vs having to pay out of pocket. Once Kiyanna wasn't gonna deal with me and just ignored me up popped Alexzhandra with a bit more backbone but still short, snippy and not willing to give me valid answers to my questions and instead kept referring back to those two days and saying I'd be fine. I was a bit fed up as some of these pharmacists and medical staff within many facilities just treat you like you are still a dope fiend and that you are some walking disease. It hurts a special kind of way when you deal with it in a recovery company who is supposed to be the ones with the compassion there to assist and guide you. The shortness and blown off treatment of those two women was enough for me to look elsewhere for a friendlier, less judgemental place. It sucks bc it is certainly convenient but at the same time there you can see it's a cash grab for money just to prescribe medication just like walking to the dealer on the set or corner the difference is the cops don't bother these dealers and the dealers are also judgemental and rude and know you need the meds so they can treat you anyway they please. Screw that. These people don't know what addiction is or how to help it. This destroys places when people who have never been in recovery try to work and assist in treatment centers or rehabs. If you are looking for real help and real recovery while also getting your medicine this isn't the place. If you just want your meds and you want to half a$$ the rest so it looks like your doing something when you aren't this is the place. It's a chop shop dealer trying to make a buck off addiction treatment. Bad form. read more

I've been a member for 8 months. I have always veen private pay. I had set up auto pay in the beginning so that they would automatically take their payment each week. Randomly 1 day, I get an email, letting me know that they didn't try to charge my card for a month and a 1/2, and that I now owed them over $500.I had to fight them on this that it was not my fault that they did not take the payment from my card. I had finally got that settled, and then the place I was working, shut down.I was out of work so I applied for medicaid. I think to tell them Hey.I am not working and I am not able to afford the medication but I applied for medicaid. I spoke to jasmine today in billing who told me. If I coyldnt pay id have to face withdrawals. There was no assistance. Pretty much a money grab. If you cant pay for your medication they will cut you off with a smile on there face. I was in tears begging for help and she told me to go barrow money from family. Extremely disappointed in the care I receive. The car that I pay for. read more

Workit health was founded by two recovering alcoholics who majored in English, social work and education. Three of the easiest majors on campus. CoVid19 opened the opportunity to telemedicine including doctors being allowed to prescribe meds without see the patient Workit Heath took full advantage Of the loosening standards. They got Medicare and other insurance to sign on and the rest has been gravy. However, a new study released by an American Psychiatric Association publication finds only a slight link between telehealth and good outcomes in the addiction treatment space. Workit is too new to have data on long-term results such as cures and retention. With English majors running the show at least the annual reports are fun to read.
