I needed an out of my previous job and Armada has been there every step of the way to help me prep for the interviews and get this amazing job that I wanted!!! Everyone at my job has been amazing and it was an excellent fit! I love where I am and it's all thanks to Armada for making the transition so seamless. Alexsis Navarro and Shelley Baca are both amazing. Alexsis is my main contact, helped me prep for my interviews and set them up (all 3 of them within a week), then she checks in with me every once in awhile (after I started working) to make sure all is well. While Shelley is my go-to HR/ Paycheck girl. They've got my back and it's awesome. Thank you so much!!! I've already been recommending Armada to my friends, family, and colleagues. They are seriously the most helpful group ever! :)

He listens to your needs as an employee and ensures you successfully fit into an environment that is symbiotic with an employer. Lisa Sullivan, then the account representative at Cisco, touched base regularly to ensure I was getting along well. The Armada Group ensured their employees were rewarded when recognized by their clients. I can tell you that they are very generous with their rewards. Years after my engagement there at Cisco, Lisa and Jeff have still maintained contact. What is not to love about that?

Even one on full staff was fired because of one mistake in paperwork. If you are desperate for a job, don't mind rejection on the streets and understand that you are completely dispensable then you will be fine. It seemed that even though I was a fairly good campaigner (that is, I made my donation goals) I was still kicked on my ass when I came back one day with nothing. But the main reason I'm writing a negative review is because they didn't even have the decency to fire me that day. Instead I took a vacation and one staff member called to emphasise how much they wanted me back telling me not to get discouraged. I finally come back from a wonderful vacation, semi-wishing that I didn't have work to come back to. Then once I arrived back in the office I was told in the first 5 minutes that they were letting me go because of "time fraud". Apparently the entire time I was gone they had known there we going to fire me and instead of calling me up or sending me an email they waited until I returned for work only to be told I'm unemployed. That's just messed up.

I had been in a career rut for about four years and attended the event hoping to return to the drawing board and find a new direction. During his speech, David shared how he has helped hundreds of individuals throughout the decades navigate their career journeys. I was deeply moved by his willingness to help other, especially my fellow university alumni. After the event, I reached out to David, and we began meeting weekly to discuss my goals and aspirations. At the time, I was torn between pursuing public policy or nonprofit work, but I had always enjoyed my nonprofit experience before the pandemic. David connected me with the philanthropy officer of a major nonprofit in my area, who offered valuable advice on how to begin a nonprofit career. He encouraged me to study independently and reach out for volunteer opportunities within his organization. Eventually, I interviewed with the nonprofit and am now in the process of starting my journey with them. Because of the relationships David has built over the years, he has created a strong community of professionals who are eager to support and guide others like me. This network of generosity and mentorship reflects his lasting impact on those he's helped. Without David, I would not have been able to make these meaningful connections or gain the clarity I needed. He reminded me that it's okay to start over, to go back to the drawing board, and to ask for help when you need it. People like David are truly one in a million and his dedication to helping others, including myself, is incredibly valuable in today's world.

The career and training advisors care and they do the best they can to provide guidance and advice. The advisors that I have worked with have been very positive, encouraging, and helpful. NOVA also offers a variety of workshops to cover various needs for job seekers (resume writing, interview skills, LinkedIn tips, etc). However, where I find NOVA really comes through for its members is access to resources. During my time, I was given opportunities to attend job fairs, an event at the LinkedIn campus, and regular networking events. Every Thursday NOVA also brings in a guest speaker to present key topics. Many of these speakers are very open to providing you with free consultations where I've had the chance to get different perspectives on my resume, career coaching, and networking advice. NOVA members also get free access to LinkedIn Premium and LinkedIn Learning for a year and courses on IBM SkillsBuild for 6 months. Most importantly, what you get with NOVA is a community of advisors and members to support you so you don't feel as if you're doing this job search alone. Best of all, all of these services and offerings cost you NOTHING, as long as you live within the qualified cities. Joining NOVAworks does not guarantee you will find a job because there is no one-size-fit-all approach to job searching. As a job seeker it's important to find an approach that works best for or is most comfortable to you. In that respect, NOVAworks does a great job of providing a foundation to work with, and fairly limitless access to tools and resources, that can enable and empower you.
