Frustrated is an understatement. Ditto to the review below about negative behavior…read more At first it sounded like a very supportive organization to sign up for, but once I started talking to the advisors and call staff it felt like they lacked empathy, condescending even. They emphasize following their process without explanation, just that it's the required next step. I initially followed as required, but then it just felt like they were not listening to my questions for clarity, just reiterating their steps. It just felt like they didn't give me credibility, just discomfort. :(

I was a NOVAworks member from April 2025 to November 2025, when I landed a new job. My experience…read morewith NOVA has generally been positive. The career and training advisors care and they do the best they can to provide guidance and advice. The advisors that I have worked with have been very positive, encouraging, and helpful. NOVA also offers a variety of workshops to cover various needs for job seekers (resume writing, interview skills, LinkedIn tips, etc). However, where I find NOVA really comes through for its members is access to resources. During my time, I was given opportunities to attend job fairs, an event at the LinkedIn campus, and regular networking events. Every Thursday NOVA also brings in a guest speaker to present key topics. Many of these speakers are very open to providing you with free consultations where I've had the chance to get different perspectives on my resume, career coaching, and networking advice. NOVA members also get free access to LinkedIn Premium and LinkedIn Learning for a year and courses on IBM SkillsBuild for 6 months. Most importantly, what you get with NOVA is a community of advisors and members to support you so you don't feel as if you're doing this job search alone. Best of all, all of these services and offerings cost you NOTHING, as long as you live within the qualified cities. Joining NOVAworks does not guarantee you will find a job because there is no one-size-fit-all approach to job searching. As a job seeker it's important to find an approach that works best for or is most comfortable to you. In that respect, NOVAworks does a great job of providing a foundation to work with, and fairly limitless access to tools and resources, that can enable and empower you.

I can't find any online reviews of Ready2Model. I am a photographer not a model and with my first…read moreinteraction was to come meet the CEO at a model casting call. They ended up asking me to shoot so they could see my style of images (I had previously given links to my website as well as my portfolio) The CEO told me that at the casting calls they don't pay the photographers, but when they have events the clients pay R2M and then everyone get's paid (models, photographers, etc). At the casting call they were also having the wanna be models who showed up practice a runway walk for the upcoming event. The CEO asked me if I could shoot them practicing and take some images of the girls who showed up at the casting call. The CEO asked for a proofing DVD the day off. I burned it from my laptop and then told the CEO to let me know his final selections for editing. A couple of day's later I get an email from the CEOs assistant extremely upset that one of the girls in 4 of the 50 images of her was kneeling next to a plane that they felt that pose was not appropriate for a minor. And that they had a complaint by the plane owner that we shot images by that plane (I was directed there by the CEO mind you.). I tried to explain to the assistant that not every image is going to be usable that they had requested the proofing CD before I left so I had no way to delete out test shoots, closed eyes, totally unusable images. That from my experience from any given photoshoot 1-2 images per look would be requested to be edited. That if a given pose does not work to delete it out. I was also told not to give any of the models my contact information that if they request images from the shoot they have to purchase the unedited image from Ready2Model. I was contacted again by the CEO asking on a couple hours notice if I was able to shoot another event where the goal was overly sexy women. I had a prior engagement. I got an email from the assistant if I could do a beauty shoot at a salon they were contacted to create images for and if I knew of any make up artist that could do the girls make up. I responded to inquire on what the budget would be for the make up artist as well as the photography budget and gave a couple of recommendations. The response I got from the assistant was telling me that they Ready2Model DO NOT PAY photographers to shoot their models. That photographers PAY THEM to shoot their models and they were doing me a favor allowing me to shoot their models. After that I ceased communications with them. I am only posting this because I haven't seen any other experiences with this agency. I wanted to post my experience for other photographers who may inquire to work with them. Your experience may be better than mine, it may be the same or worse but this is just my experience with this agency.

Hello everyone! Just wanted to update this review, or…read moreperhaps, make a clarification. I have received a couple personal messages from someone stating that it is ironic how my icon picture is sexy and is going against my review of Ready2Model. I would like to make it clear that there is a difference from being "sexy" vs images with "sexual connotations that would jeapordize my career". In a portfolio, a model can be in a bathing suit and definitely be sexy but, not promiscuous. For example, there is a difference between models in swimwear displayed in high fashion photos vs men's magazine photos - the latter which would definitely jeapordize my career as a nurse. High fashion can be sexy. Men's magazine photos are a bit more edgy and have sexual connotation appealing to the visual, male reader. Additionally, I stated that I am more conservative. Take a look at other portolios which explore eclectic tastes, and perhaps you will agree, that I lean towards the conservative side :0) If people feel like I am saying something and doing the other, that is fine, but please stop sending me messages. Feel free to write a yelp review, but I would like it if you keep opinions of an establishment left open to the public. Further supporting my opinion, feel free to walk in the hospital that I work at - Stanford Hospital, in Palo Alto. In the cafeteria in the children's building, there is a picture of a Stanford athlete with his shirt off diving from a pool diving board. Many people can say this image is sexy and quite attractive to the female counterpart, but this photo will not jeapordize his career; in no way is he being "sexual" or indecent. As for me, if seen in a bathing suit, it is either athletic or commercial (not the men's magazine type, with an arched back). That is my lifestyle and is portraying who I am. I love being near the water. I go to Hawaii many times. That's just who I am. Being sexy or what-have-you is fine. Maybe that just goes along with the territory if you were raised near the water and love swimming. Please get to know me first before calling people out. As mentioned above, there is a difference between "sexy" and what is stated in my review, displaying "sexual connotations that would jeapordize my career." Finally, it is funny how it was stated that my image is sexy (or maybe you were implying that it was too sexy to be a nurse, I'm not sure). But, I actually wore this dress to Stanford's holiday party. Many of us are young and many of my cohorts wore very similar dresses, some, even showing more. Which is perfectly fine. In my originial review, I am sharing my experience and opinions of the management, communication, and genuiness of a particular person. Thank you for taking the time to read my review. If you would like to know more about me or my experiences, I have all the emails saved. Also, please don't think I am badgering the company. I am standing 100% that I do not recommend this place, BUT don't keep my opinion from checking it out. Feel free to do what pleases you. AND feel free to yelp about it :0) I'm sure many, many people have positive experiences. I know a person who is part of the organization and I give him 110% of my support. Again, I am writing about the incidences that occured with me the best way that I can.
