During his speech, David shared how he has helped hundreds of individuals throughout the decades navigate their career journeys. I was deeply moved by his willingness to help other, especially my fellow university alumni. After the event, I reached out to David, and we began meeting weekly to discuss my goals and aspirations. At the time, I was torn between pursuing public policy or nonprofit work, but I had always enjoyed my nonprofit experience before the pandemic. David connected me with the philanthropy officer of a major nonprofit in my area, who offered valuable advice on how to begin a nonprofit career. He encouraged me to study independently and reach out for volunteer opportunities within his organization. Eventually, I interviewed with the nonprofit and am now in the process of starting my journey with them. Because of the relationships David has built over the years, he has created a strong community of professionals who are eager to support and guide others like me.
