Pork chop, fried okra, salad and collard green egg rolls

Great food especially the collard greens egg rolls! My husband and I were staying at the hotel across the street and wandered into this little quaint restaurant not knowing what to expect. We were both so happy with everything we tried. Fried pork chops, fried okra, salads and those wonderful collard green egg rolls!. I had my doubts about them at first but after the first bite I knew I would be back for more. This is a very small place and the owner who is the only one in the front is very friendly. You really need to try this place.

Lord I cannot begin to tell you; this place was worth the wait. My family lives locally, and I knew this would be my favorite stop visiting from Washington. I love a good fusion food, and Woos and Keems knock it out of the park. Let me start by saying, you walk in their restaurant and you feel the love. This couple brings exceptional home grown service and flavour. Locals themselves, Woos and Keems combine their love of soul food and inventiveness in the kitchen to bring together some of the best fusion food I've ever had. Nothing was lacking in flavour and each item was perfectly seasoned accordingly. They treat their ingredients with such respect and attention to detail. If I had the stomach capacity, I would've one of everything. The best part? Most of their items come in sets of 2. And the next best part? You don't even have to share haha. I was shocked by how well priced everything is for the such amazing quality. They honestly love the work they produce and it shows. Woo is constantly reinventing their menu and adding secret, pop-up items that you're only going to nab if you follow them closely on social media. Hakeem adds his own spin with his unique flavour pairings and homegrown greetings. It's hard to walk in and not feel like family. On this day, they had a special consisting of a chicken bacon ranch loaded baked potato. So, of course we had to try it. Loaded is an understatement. A potato and it's accoutrements that filled a takeout container. Their egg rolls are where it's at. Incredible flavor profiles and stuffed full of ingredients; no air pockets here! Perfectly cooked and crispy and relatively grease-free. The Philly cheesesteak rolls came with a Parmesan ranch and the collard green rolls a Mambo sauce. The collards were crispy and chopped, complimented by smoked turkey. My mum ordered the chicken pita and what an outstanding, simple delight. I can't speak highly enough of their seasoned chicken. And their beverage selection couldn't be any more Southern. We all ordered the peach lemonade and finished off the meal with an order of seasoned crinkle fries and their famous peach egg rolls. And you think it stops there? My eager beaver self took an order of their tasty cheeseburger egg rolls, fried okra, and Mac to go. So whether you're dining in or joining their takeout population the size of the county, you'll feel like you just left a family reunion fat and happy.

Always friendly! Always fresh! Always fast! The collard green egg wraps come with a cheese dip that put them over the top. The Philly cheese steaks egg rolls are great too. But I am sorry. We always overeat when we come here. Because we also had to have the pork chop meal when it's available. The okra and Mac and cheese will make you think of grandma. Just saying.

I had lunch today at The Shed with a life long friend. The restaurant is located in the heart of…read moredowntown Cheraw SC. It is a simple family owned business. When you walk in, The shed seems smaller from first view. It's actually more spacious than 1st sight. There's several seating areas off to the sides and at the rear of the buffet area. We were automatically seated since we were only a party of 2. The buffet is $15 per person which includes a drink. We both had Sweet Tea. You pay for your meal before being seated. On the table is sanitizer as well as condiments. Napkins are located where the plates along with the silverware and gloves. You are required to wear gloves while fixing plates at the buffet. The food selection is limited but plentiful. Cabbage, Green Beans, White Rice, Stew Beef and Gravy, Mac and Cheese, Fried Chicken, Ham, Fat Back Meat, Biscuits and Fried Cornbread. The food was good but not hot. When the new pan of Macaroni and cheese was brought out. I was like Yessss! However, it was just warm. Looks like more water was needed in the wells to actually keep the food hot. This is my restaurant side coming out. The desserts were rich and tasty. Ohhh, they also offered ice cream- Vanilla and Strawberry. It was truly good to break bread, laugh and enjoy a good meal.
