I found that the woman who answered the phone was rude. I felt like I was interrupting her day so I politely said that I would get back to her and hung up. I called a competitor that one of my friends used and the woman answering the phone was very polite and answered all of my questions. She gave me a good price for major mfg plus install. I felt bad about the situation because I originally dealt with one of the owners. He was a senior gentleman who was great, so I planned to keep Parma as my door people, but if I can't get through the first call without feeling uncomfortable, I didn't think that I wanted to do business with Parma. I hope that the owner reads this review and corrects the attitude of his help. It's not easy to be in business in this area and a customer's first impression is important. I wish them well.

For some reason Yelp has merged these reviews with that of a similar sounding appliance service company, or the door repair owner is aware of a fault in Yelp's website and is exploiting it for its benefit. Yelp needs to straighten that out I called believing this is a local business and scheduled a door repair. I get a tech from a totally different company name {Grage (sic) Door Services per the business card} out of Boston Ma. Asked about the difference in name and he tells me they are all the same.....hmmm. He replaces a cable and does a "tune up" (which involved greasing the tracks) for an exorbitant amount of $250. Still went ahead because I was in a bind and the door wasn't opening. Turns out the repair was botched. The door now was closing crooked, caused by incorrectly installing the cable length. Also the cable was misthreaded and was rubbing another cable that would have prematurely worn through with use. Google the website on the business card (Garage Doors Service, 1-888-338-3667 www.Garagedoorss.com) and the reviews are a hot mess. Had I known the reputation of these guys I would I would have declined the service. Had another tech from another company take a look and fix it. So after poking around I think this All City Garage company (and others) are a front for GDS. 1) All City's website is brand new, domain registered late May 2018. Note the garage specific reviews on yelp all happen after this date. Also garage repair reviews from people in Washington and California for a RI company. Check some of their past reviews. Some review other garage door services across the country with nearly the same website language and layout.....Hmmm 2) The owners pics on review are just pulled from Google. Do an image search 3) Their website is copy pasta found on other "garage door repair" websites with Cranston filled in where appropriate.
